Back to School
The car pulled up into the driveway and I quickly jumped out of the car and ran straight to the front door.
"Mom, come on I need to get inside I miss my room!" I whine switching my weight from my left to my right.
"You were in the coma the whole time you didn't even now a month passed!" Mom replied back slowly getting out of the car purposefully slow trying to make me suffer as much as possible.
"Mom, please!!" I begged holding on to the door knob. As soon as she was close enough I grabbed the keys and unlocked the door.
Without a moments hesitation I ran up the stair flopping on my bed seeing as my door was open.
I reached over and grabbed my flute. I quickly set it placing the head joint and the foot joint in the proper positions. I start to play the first thing that came to my head.
The concert music from last year. As I played the notes I got transported to a different world. Each not came out with purpose and beauty.
"Y/N!!!" Shyla squeaked as she ran into my room giving me one of her signature bear hugs.
"Hey! Hey! Be careful of the flute!"
"Well I'm glad to see that that fall didn't make you different. " she rolled her eyes at me as if I was the worst person in the world.
"You signed up for this!" I reply back, playfully hitting her shoulder.
"I did but I didn't think it'd be like this!"
"Whatever."
Even though I only played for maybe 30 seconds I put my flute up again and turned to Shyla.
"Sooo...." she said awkwardly, obviously having something on her mind.
"What is it?" I asked stretching out the last word, concerned about what she is thinking.
"Well, I'm just wondering what you're going to do about Rogue." She states looking right into my eyes.
"I don't know to be honest. I can't just throw myself into that when I don't really know him, but I feel like something is bound to happen. " I thought each word out perfectly not wanted Shyla to misunderstand.
"Does part of it have to do with the fact he's hot?" She asks without missing a beat. I felt my chest tighten, "Tell me the truth I can tell you want to lie."
"Well yes, he is pretty hot but I still don't know him."
"Well I'm glad you admitted it, because you're right he is hot. The only people who would deny it are people who aren't in their right minds, but Sting is way better!" The gave herself a hug swaying back and forth.
"Whatever you say. But I want Rouge so you can have Sting." I jump onto my bed rolling over to where I could look at the ceiling.
"Deal!"
"Hey, sorry I didn't tell you I was coming over put your mom said it was okay." My head shoots up to see none other than Rogue himself.
I stumble out of bed falling face first on the ground. I heard footstep along with a soft chuckle. I look up to see that they both came from Rogue, "Here let me help you up." He said reaching his hand out to mine.
"Imma just leave y'all alone," Shyla said give me a subtle wink before running out of the room and down the stairs.
"Shyla's always been something." Rogue said looking out the door then right back at me. I stick my hand out a grab his hand. They're soft. What the heck. Where did that come from.
"Y/N you're blushing."
I quickly shake my head trying to rid the blush, "No I wasn't..." i looked away giving myself away.
"Sure, but I'm going to take it as a compliment." He pulled me up in a swift motion and before I know it I was standing on my feet again. I look up into his eyes and considering he was a good amount taller than me I had to lean my head almost all the way back to see his eyes.
"You're cute." He said no hesitation in his voice as if he used to say it all the time, "Sorry if that made you uncomfortable I just had to say what was on my mind."
He seemed to be a little shy, as if he was afraid of what I would say since he loved me and I didn't remember him, "It's okay. While I still need to form a certain opinion on you I feel like we might have a connection." I explained the blush forming right back on my face. Looking at his face I can see that I said the right thing. His eyes were alight with joy and there appeared to be a slight blush.
"Rogue sweetie! It's time for you to go home!" Mom yelled from downstairs, most likely the kitchen from what it sounded like.
"See you tomorrow Y/N," and just like that he was gone.
"Bye, Miss L/N. Thanks for letting me come over on such short notice."
"Anytime Rogue, I feel like Y/N really needs you in a time like this.... and I just find y'all so cute!"
Of course. I rolled my eyes flopping right back onto the bed. Tomorrow will be my first day back at school.

Beep! Beep! Beep!
Already?
I reluctantly roll out of bed. Walking over to my closet a grab a shirt with a pair of leggings. It's just school after all. Why should I be fancy for that?
I step down the stairs turning to look in the kitchen. "Y/N, you ready for school?" Mom asked the stereotypical parent question.
"No." I replied, "I would much rather be in bed."
"Well so would I but here we are, better eat up." Mom set down a plate full of French toast.
"Smells great."
"That's the point."
I sat down and started devouring the food before. Man it feels like forever since I've eaten. I mentally started laughing at what I just thought. I'm a genius.
"Wow you must be really hungry." Mom said looking at my halfway finished plate, "I literally turned away for two seconds."
"Well in those two seconds I scarfed down half of my food. "
"Clearly."
The next few minutes were complete silence as both Mom and I ate. Finally Mom spoke up, "Ready to go?"
"I guess," I replied looking at the door wishing I could stay here forever. Out there was a world of school and that's a world I'd rather stay away from.
"Then let's go!" Grabbing her keys Mom ran out the door.
I rushed over picked up my bag and followed suit.
I grabbed the car door and pulled. Just as I was about to get in Rogue and a blonde came walking up.
"Hey Y/N, Rogue told me you lost your memories of us but I'm Sting!" The blonde said with a smile.
"We're wondering if you want to walk with us?" Rogue asked looking at me and then my mom to get permission. I turned to see my mom's answer and all I saw was her walking right back up to the front door.
"Y'all have fun!" She yelled back closing the door, before reopening in,"But not too much fun!" She smirked and then closed the door again, leaving me no choice but to walk with Sting and Rogue not that I'm complaining though.
"Well are you ready?" Sting asked jumping up behind me and patting my shoulder. I jumped unprepared and then slightly nodding my head.
As we started walking I noticed one thing, Sting walk a few steps behind Rogue and I as if he was begging for us to do something.
I look back at Sting to see him hands on his cheeks smiling like a freak, "Um... Rogue do we need to call an exorcist?" I ask pointing at the demon behind us.
Rogue snaps his head around to see Sting smiling like a freak still, "Sting I already told you nothing is going to happen! She doesn't really remember me and she doesn't want me to make a move on her or whatever and I don't want to force her because she thinks she entitled to because of the past!"
"Woah. Sorry I just can't believe the love birds finally got back together."
"Sting!"
"Rogue it's okay don't worry." I stated, smiling slightly putting my hands up.
"Sorry I... I just don't want to make you uncomfortable." Rogue sighed looking at the the ground, kicking the nearest rock in sight.
"Don't worry I'm plenty comfortable."
"You sure?"
"Yes." I laughed at how shy he's acting. Cute. What the heck stop it Y/N.
"Well it looks like we're here!" Sting announced. I turned my head looking at the gigantic building ahead of me. We walked up to the doors. Sting and Rogue entered immediately while I stood there open mouthed.
"Y/N, you coming?" Rogue asked cocking his head to the side.
"Yeah..." I replied trailing off. I took a deep breath in then out and walked up to the doors. With a final step I entered the building and the inside looked just as extravagant as the outside did.
Okay first day back after a month, good luck Y/N.
