"...What?" The stranger spoke to me.

"What? Did I say something wrong?" I spoke I looked at the doctor curiously, was I supposed to know who he was?

I looked back at him, his eyes first held denial, then all at once his eyes just filled with misery, sadness, and... heartbreak?

The doctor sighs looking at his notes, "So it appears that she has amnesia."

"Okay if she has amnesia then why does she remember me? Why does she remember Shyla? Shouldn't that all have gone away?"

"Well while it does seem like she has amnesia, it is only a recent memory loss."

"So she...she wont remember me?" The black haired male looked at the doctor as soon as he said this.

"It sure seems like it."

"Come on please remember me. I'm Rogue Cheney. I was in your history class. I taught you magic," he rushed up to me grabbing me hand holding it in both of his hands.

"You weren't in my history class last year." I ripped my hand away from his. Freak!

"No I'm in your history class this year."

"School hasn't started yet." I slide as far away as I could from him in my hospital bed which was only a few inches in total.

The doctor stepped forward, "Miss L/N, what is the date?"

"The 15th I believe?"

"What month?"

"August...?"

"It's September. School has already started."

I shook my head in disbelief, no way it's already September. I looked to Mom for support but there was wasn't any reassurance, just sadness. Sadness to see her own daughter lose some of her memories.

"Y/N...Please say you're joking..." Rogue looked at me, his eyes filled with tears.

"Please don't cry," I said, why should he. I don't even know him, why she he cry over somebody who knows nothing about him, "Look I'm sorry Rogue but I just can't remember you, maybe you played a huge role in my life maybe you didn't."

"I hope I did." I could see it, his face was trembling. I cant believe I caused this was I really that special to him?

"Y/N... I loved you." His tears started falling out of his eyes. He loved me? I felt this pinging feeling in my chest maybe I did too? No I don't even know him, no way I can love him!

"Well umm... I don't know if I did love you in this past month or however long I was out, but I know I just can't love you again right now. I'm going to have to trust you first.'

"Of course I wouldn't ask anything else of you." He spoke a small smile on his face eyes sparkling from the tears still in his eyes.

I looked over to Mom, she nodded her head.

"Thanks... Er...I guess. " That wasn't awkward at all, way to go Y/N.

"Okay, I'm going to have to speak with the other doctors about what to do with her condition. Y'all are aloud to stay in here, it might even help trigger her memory," the doctor said with a smile on his face, "Don't worry Y/N, you're doing good."

Sure doesn't feel that way.

"Rogue, I'm gonna leave her in here with you. I trust you so if anything happens to her," Mom slid her finger across her throat.

Rogue gulped taking a step back. Mom walked right passed in and out of the room, closing he door behind her.

"So are you scared of my mom?" I asked Rogue tilting my head to the side.

"No, well yes for the past month. I don't blame her though it's not everyday that you find out your brother died and you daughter feel into a coma."

"Yeah I guess so what happened, what caused me to fall into a coma?"

"Well...." Rogue started his eyes looking away from me.

"What?"

"Well... You kind of were on a job and this monster knocked you to the ground, knocking you out and as you can see you didn't wake up till now. " Rogue ran on and on, getting short on breath.

"Rogue breathe," I chuckled bringing my knees up to my chest.

"Sorry," he started laughing with me. As he laughed he sat down on the edge of my bed.

"Is that was really happened?" I asked, the monster just seemed really weird, monsters don't exist.

"Yeah, you were a mage."

"Mage? Like magic? So I'm a magician?" I asked trying not to laugh, honestly that seems really childish.

"Yeah, technically you were, but my like the ones that put on shows. We kept our abilities hidden from most people and we took care of those in need. " Rogue looked back at me eyes glowing, resting his hand on the bottoms of my leg.

I pulled my leg back on instinct, "Sorry, I still don't really know or trust you." I kept my voice quiet afraid how he'll react. I regret saying what I said because I saw the heartbreak in his eyes, "I didn't mean it like that," I reached my hand out hoping to grab his hand, I don't know why I did it maybe it was what I would have done to him if I remembered him.

"No I get it. I'd be the same way." He got of my bed and look right into my eyes a spark appearing.

"I don't think that look means anything good," I started laughing, something about this guy really made me want to get to know him.

"No it's nothing bad. Just want to know if you would like to see the magic I use?"

My eyes lit up like a child on their birthday, "Of course!"

"Okay," he chuckled, his eyes sparkling. His eyes contained the unsaid love he had for me even though I forgot him.

Rogue opened his hand raising it to his side, "Ready?"

"Yeah."

"You sure?"

"Yes! Now come on hurry I want to see!" I jumped to the edge of the bed my legs hanging over the edge swinging back and forth.

"I've never seen you with so much energy before." Rogue stated tilting head to the side exposing his neck.

Woah that's hot.

"Thanks, I know I am." Rogue laughed.

"Crap, did I say that out loud?" Rogue nodded and I felt my cheek heat up. I turned around and crawled right back to the front of the bed and brought the blankets up to my mouth.

"Sorry I didn't mean to say that out loud. I shouldn't be saying stuff like that when I just met or met you again. "

"No it's fine. I don't hear stuff like that a lot."

"Really?!"

"Yeah, well I'm an introvert so even if people wanted to say stuff like that to me I try to avoid them. "

"Oh well I'm still sorry. "

"Anyways, I still need to show you my magic. "

I just nodded my head afraid to embarrass myself further. Rogue looked down at his hand and a black shadow like thing floated above his hand.

My eyes widened, "That's not all watch this," Rogue seemed to melt into a black shadow on the round. The shadow zapped over and Rogue appears again in front of me.

"Wow. Just wow."

Rogue chuckled again, Awe that's so cute.

Rogue didn't say anything this time so I luckily kept it to myself.

"You know you can do it too, right?" He asked looking directly into my eyes.

"I don't think I'll be able to do it, not after this."

"Oh come on you have to try."

"Fine." I gently stepped out of bed and onto the cold tile floor. I picked up my hand and focused all of my energy into getting some magic out.

My head started to get sweaty, I don't think I'm getting anywhere. Just as I was about to give up a small spark of darkness with flecks of... light I'm going with, showed up.

"You did it!"

The magic vanished within seconds. I can't believe that actually worked.

"See you can trust me," Rogue smiled at me childishly.

"You sure about that? Can I?" I chuckled back smiling just as big.

Even though I just woke up a couple of hours ago, everything seems to be going great. And... Rogue seems to be an amazing person.
