Deca did leave but only to get the doctor. "She'll be here soon," he said, standing beside the bed, "Her room is just down the hall."
"Just down the hall?" Hunter squeaked, not sure why it made him slightly jealous.
"Yeah," Deca pushed some red hair of his face, "There's a club below us, that why there was loud music when you first arrived." Hunter nodded, it made sense. "Most of the employees have a room upstairs because it's less of a commute-"
Doc was suddenly in the room, she had sharp black horns, a contrast to her pale hair. And a tail ending in a triangle shape. She was dressed in black pajamas. "I'm here because his rent prices are low, and I have to save up money for my wedding." She flashed a ring on her finger. "Don't be jealous. Me and Deca are just friends," she gave Hunter a knowing smile that had him blushing.
"Jealous, why would he be-" he turned back toward Hunter, letting out that soft vibration again. It gave Hunter butterflies, but his only response was a blush.
"Calm down, Deca." She shoved him away from the bed, "He's hurt, give him time to heal."
Deca looked like he wanted to say something, but stepped back, sitting in an armchair nearby.
Doc came over to Hunter, checking his pulse, "Pulse is a little high, but you don't have a fever." She dug in a little bag that was over her shoulder, pulling out a bottle. "Take these, every-" she told Hunter how to use the pills safely, and as she was a trained doctor, he agreed.
She stepped back, "Don't worry. The wound is healing nicely. You'll be fine soon." Hunter wasn't sure if she said that for him or Deca, but the other shifter looked pleased. "Now, I have to get back to Ame. She's having a meltdown trying to get the hem of the dress she's showing tomorrow just right." She shook her head, "I told her it was fine." She left without saying anything else.
Hunter watched her go, not sure who Ame was and if he'd meet her. "Ame and Doc are mates," Hunter explained, standing and walking back to the bed.
Hunter nodded, trying to get comfortable in bed, "I'm not used to a bed," he explained as Hunter cocked a brow, "I usually sleep on my web. But I'm too sore to build one."
"Is there anyway I can help you get more comfortable?" Hunter looked away, face turning red again. "Could you lay down with me, and make that noise again."
"Noise?" Deca asked, the spider unsure if he was clueless or trying to drag it from him.
"You made it before, when Doc told you to give me time to heal." Hunter fisted the sheets in his one hand, "But I liked that noise. So please?" He ended in a whisper.
Deca chuckled, nodding as he turned out the lights. There was a tap of his sunglasses hitting the table, and a dip of the bed moving. Hunter only realized he was shirtless when he was pulled into a bear chest that felt warm. That noise mixed with vibrations started in that chest, and Hunter felt himself relaxing and falling asleep.
