I got the creeps when Amber and Rose entered the dorm later in the evening. What Lara said wasn't so much of a secret but what was making me sit on my bed stiff and battling tears that still streamed down anyway, was the threat that Lara said was given to her and to anyone who has loose mouths.
Apparently, Miss White threatened her to death after the last night she came to our dorm.
Lara said anyone that get to know Miss White's identity through her is rendering her a snack for one of their own. And guess who that is?

Rose.

She's up to all the killings all these while.
Miss White is a vampire too, Lara confirmed. All those days she came running to the dorm after curfew, was because she and Cyndy had been trying to figure something out about Miss White and Miss Behring.
Talking of Miss Behring, she's a vampire as well and had sometimes argued with Rose for human blood. Lara found out all those during her late return to the dorm until she got caught by Miss White.

Amber dropped herself beside me on my bed with a huge smile as always. I felt like running away from her but there was no way to do that without savaging myself.
I sighed and turned to her with a very pretty forced smile. When my eyes found hers, I couldn't hold the tears back as the nightmare flashed back in my head as fresh as I had it last night.
She biting into my neck and that cold touch was something I'll never forget anytime soon. It's the worst sight that haunted me so fiercely. I felt a tear tickled down my cheeks. And this is something I hate, looking pathetic and vulnerable in front of people. And who am I kidding? This girl is so not a human. Just a bloody, bloody blood sucker! I was screaming in my head and more tears escaped my eyes without permission.

Rose turned to face us and the blood rushed out of my face. She looked at her sister who was face palming before looking at me for quite too long. What was she debating on? Using me as "snack" tonight or leaving me for her sister. I felt the blood rushing from my face.

When I looked down again, my palm was bleeding and the thick dark blood dripped to the marble floor. I felt Amber's breathing fierce and rugged. I rose my head and my heart sprinted seeing her reaction. Her eyes became red and she was clutching her neck. Rose was in front of me and was about to take my hand when three people who were Miss Behring and Miss White with another too white beautiful man came in. The man kept looking at Rose who went back to her bed in rage. Miss White cleaned the blood from the floor and my hand as Miss Behring looked at Amber who was now calmed. Miss Behring looked at Amber and Rose for quite some time before leaving with the others. I was awestruck and dumbfounded. How did they think to arrive at the right time. What were they really saying to each other with their eyes. I stood and left the dorm.

"Hailey, wait up!" I heard Amber's soprano voice calling behind me as I stomped into the forest.
My blood was boiling as I kept going deep into the forest. I was actually scared but adrenaline was at work so I kept walking.
"Hailey," I heard her voice beside me. How the hell did she catch up with me so fast? She caught my arm and the touch was so freaking cold, it reminded me of the nightmare.
I stood shocked and rigid as I turned to face her with my mouth opened and my eyes wild. She looked confused.

"Who are you?" I whispered not trusting my voice to speak.
She didn't answer she face palmed and blew air through her mouth.
"Amber?" I whispered again.
"You're pale white and ice cold, you have a great speed and you're strong. You have a ringing voice and a beautiful appearance, I mean inhuman beauty so tell me, who are you?" I asked her.

She refused to speak which was driving me nuts.
"I know what you are" I whispered.
"Yes, you know." Was all she said. "What are you?" I asked and she laughed bitterly.
"Why are you laughing?" I asked.
"You're a v–vampire" I whispered. The word tasted bitter on the way out.
The nightmare, the facts from the book, the locker incident, the speed she always has and what happened back there in the dorm flashed back in front of me.
But I wasn't scared of her. She is too sweet and caring. For sometime, she had being like a big sister to me and even a mother to me. Even when her blood sister was against it, she was still stuck by me.

This is not possible! It's just not!
"I can explain." I heard her say behind me. I can explain? Ha! Is it a crime or something?

"I'm a vampire and so is sixty percent of the students here and the teachers are too." She said as we sat on a log in the forest.
"Rose is a vampire too and Miss White and Miss Behring. So is Miss Gillian Andres, the owner of the school. But we all live among human without causing a lot of harm. Rose is always bitter cos she's not really happy with this life. I'm not too but I got used to it after some time. The reason why we avoid sunlight is to keep our identity a secret from the rest of the humans here. This is what happens when we're in the sun." She said and went to stand in the sunlight that was reflecting through some branches into the forest. She removed her cardigan and stretched out her arm. She gestured for me to stand and watch her.
I was marvelled at what I saw. Her skin became glittering and beautiful as tiny diamond particles invaded her smooth skin. I opened my mouth in awe as I watched the beautiful sight. "This is what we are." She smiled.
