Here is the first main chapter! Hope you enjoy it! For now, I will refer to the aliens as "creatures".

2025, location: beyond the solar system...

A boy aged 14-15 in human years sat down on the pavement of a city. But this was not a city on Earth. The buildings were gothic style with spires, monorails rolled above him, very few car like vehicles, which were large, bulky with rigid edges and the inhabitants were not humans. They were grey furry creatures walking on two legs or on all fours for more speed with long snouts,  purple eyes, three fingers noses, furry tails, pointy ears and eyes, wearing long tunic or dress like outfits of green, black, yellow, white and blue. The boy was human except had grey hair, purple eyes, a skinny body, a tail poking out of his rear. He looked upwards at the blue sky, sniffed the air, but something in his mind came to him as he closed his eyes, a feeling, of a different smell, a different atmosphere, different gravity, a different sunlight. And in the back of his mind came the face of a creature with no fur, flowing hair and soft and loving voice. An image flashed of a creature just like the others before him, with a happy smile on his face. 

The pictures were interrupted by the voices that came from beside him. "Hey, fangen!" A male voice called the boy, who opened his eyes just as he was struck by water! The boy fell down leftwards onto his side, drenched as he looked past his legs to see three young furry creatures with mocking faces at him, the closest holding a silver bucket. "Hope the water makes your fur grow!" The shorter creature spoke out sarcastically, as the closest one dropped the bucket down onto the ground as they all then turned and ran down the street. The boy then moved up back into his sitting down position, moved his right hand up and down his damp hair as he heard the sound of footsteps coming to him from his left. So he looked leftwards to see a creature with a grey uniform with some stripes on the sleeves and gold markings across the uniform, revealing a position of rank. "Freddy, your uncle wishes to see you. I've been instructed to bring you." The creature spoke in a female voice with a friendly but serious expression. The boy, named Freddy, let out a moan as he got up on his feet and walked towards her, came upon her left and so she turned around leftwards and walked by his side down the street. "I can walk myself home, Lieutenant. I know the way." The boy spoke on the creatures right as they walked on silently. A few minutes later, they came upon the walls of a large manor with spires and turrets. The boy also a saw a yellow vehicle in the garden. It had a long body on tripods, four jet engines in groups of two held out by beams in the centre of the hull on both sides, a glass half circle cockpit, two jet engines at the rear on tail shaped beams facing backwards. "What's with the hoverjet?" The boy asked, unsure as to what it was doing there, looking  leftwards/upwards at the creature. "Your uncle is at the launching base. I'm to take you to him." The creature replied as they came upon it. They both got to the cockpit and Freddy opened the left hand side door, the creature getting in on the right side, where the pilot controls were. The pilot fiddled with the controls, started the engines and then it rose up over the city, and once it reached a certain altitude, the rear engines were fired, the hoverjet flying forwards towards the sea.

After a couple of minutes of flying, Freddy looking down/leftwards at the sea to pass the time, he then look forwards to see something appear on the horizon. As they got closer every second, Freddy knew what it was: the planets main ship launching base. It was a giant artificial island made of metal and concrete, spreading out in a circle for what seemed like miles, rising high above the seas, and as the hoverjet came over the structure, massive closed doors could be seen in ranks of three, going all the way around the island. As the hoverjet came to the centre, which was a massive bulge, the hoverjet slowed down and landed on one of the small landing pads before the dome, several others besides them, more hoverjets on some. The pilot and Freddy got out and went to the entrance as door which jutted out of the dome and went inside the base. Freddy followed the creature silently through the facility, passing by several other creature wearing different uniforms, indicating different ranks, positions and jobs, not an word spoken, or barely a glance, until they came upon a with gold runic writing on it. "Wait here." The creature spoke as she went up to the door and opened it as quietly as possible and stood by besides the opened door. Freddy leaned over leftwards to see a creature standing in the centre of the room, holding a gold baton, wearing a black uniform with a lot more golden than the female creature's uniform with gold aiguillette on its right shoulder. "Storm is perfectly on course, sir." He saw the creature speak. "Thank you, Ric. You may leave." Another male sounding voice spoke. "Yes, Grand Growler." The creature in the centre of the room, called Ric, said as Freddy watched him raise his gold baton up to level with his head and snout, turned around sharply leftwards and walked out past the female creature besides the door, pushed the door open and went past Freddy, who straightened up as Ric walked past. "Grand Growler, I have your nephew." He heard the female creature say back in the room, the door still open. "Thank you, Lieutenant Cherry. Let him in." The other voice coming ordered as Cherry turned around right wards and opened the door fully and beckoned Freddy to come in.  Freddy stepped through the door past the female creature and saw himself in a ciudad office with pillars against the wall with stone statues of mighty creatures in front of them. In front of where he stood he saw a desk with a creature sitting in a chair on the end of the table wearing a red and gold outfit. "Ah, Freddy, do sit down." The creature spoke with a smile yet an expression that wasn't entirely friendly, Freddy moving forwards and sitting down in the chair at the other side of the table. "Now, I have a little something for you to do. You see, it has been brought to my attention that there is an important artefact located on a distant planet, stolen by its primitives." The creature explained as he pressed a button on the table with his left index finger, a hologram coming on of a green and blue planet with continents and oceans, very similar to their own. "The artefact in particular is the long lost sacred Ring of the Moon." Hotspur added, the hologram now changing to show a intricate golden ring with a massive glowing sky blue diamond on it, Freddy remembering stories he'd heard about the ring and its significance. "Your mission is to retrieve the ring on this planet and to return it to me. You will be sent in a ship that will land in the area of the planet the ring was last believed to be seen, You are to go alone to avoid any panic spreading among the primitives." The creature added, Freddy starring upwards at the hologram with wide eyes, before then then looked across at the creature flabbergasted. "But Uncle Hotspur, why not send in some soldiers instead of me?! Your only nephew? Is this a punishment? Was it something I did?" Freddy began asking frantically as the creature, his uncle, called Hotspur, raised his left hand up as he shook his head. "No, no, no, I'm sending you because not only do I think you're capable of doing this, but you deserve it. Moreover, You'll fit in with the locals. Trust me, you'll understand when youget there." Hotspur answered/explained, but that still left Freddy confused. "Moreover, You'll have a way to make me proud, and if you do this, the people will take you seriously. Lieutenant Cherry will take you to your ship... in hanger 10." Hotspur encourage as he pointed his right hand at the female creature, who looked surprised herself at the order, but Freddy suddenly all feelings of doubts and worry evaporated at the thought of everyone here finally being nice to him, had a smile on his face, got up out of his seat and ran over to the door, yelling out "I'll get that ring, Uncle! I'll make you so proud!" He was ran past the door, Cherry getting down on all fours and running after him, Hotspur now alone, put his hands together and let out a chuckle.

That's the first chapter done! Hope you enjoyed it! You'll learn more info later! In the novels a "Fangen is a word for someone who will transform into a werewolf. But in this story, it means something not of their species. You learn more about the species later on. There alien language is written in a runic alphabet. I based the hoverjet on the Helijet vehicles in the old "Thunderbirds" series. The cars, think of them as based on old big American cars from the 1970s.
