Here it is, chapter 3! Hope you enjoy it!

Freddy was led by Cherry down a concrete hallway with pipes and wiring on the ceiling above them, Freddy looking rightwards as they past a glass exhibit displaying several ancient swords and suits of armour of great warriors of the past, swords with shiny black metal hilts, shiny silver curving guards and a winding handle. The armour being silver and black with helmets that fitted over their muzzles, and rear sections that had holes for their tails. Then they both turned leftwards and walked down another corridor. Halfway down the hallway, Freddy looked leftwards to see a dimly-lit chamber he had seen several times, a long but wide room filled with rows of glass cylinders, some filled with a dark blue substance, others further down being opened, the glass opening up and downwards at a half point, containing the wet body of a creature with an air mask over his muzzle and nose, several harnesses on his shoulders dangling from the top of the cylinder, keeping the creatures in place, several wires leading to metal circles attached to their fur, some on the chest lighting up, the bolt jolting as a gasping sound came out of the mask. Further down the chamber, Freddy saw in the dim lighting several naked creatures standing in front of the chambers, hands on their knees and their heads over their legs, an officer standing in between the two central rows. Freddy looked ahead as his sight came past the chambers, as Cherry led him to a door which said in their runic language "Hanger 25", a guard standing before it with a long grey gun. "Hanger 25." Cherry spoke as she looked at Freddy over her left shoulder, to which he nodded, despite knowing it. She then looked ahead at the guard who nodded and looked rightward and moved right wards, placing its right hand on a scanner, which then beeped a few times before the door to the dark hanger opened.

When the door opened, Cherry led Freddy into the hanger bay, the lights coming on as they entered, bathing the room in light. Before them in the centre stood Freddy's ship. It was small enough for one, painted metallic blue, consisting of a rectangular body with a circular front with a glass viewport at the front, two sets of small delta wings, one further than the other, one at the top of the hull, one at the bottom, a small cylinder shaped nozzle at the end, for the engine. The ship was facing upwards, held up by beams from a basic yellow gantry by its side. Cherry and Freddy went up the stairs at the gantry's back to the top, which was really that much of a climb. As they approached from the platform, the door on the circle's left hand side opened up, revealing a black cushioned seat in a normal position on hinges, red cushion padding on the wall. Cherry stopped before the door as Freddy stepped into the circle and sat in the seat. "Now, the course has already been set, so you don't have to worry about that." Cherry spoke as she leaded against the left side of the door, and then pointed at a black case on the left hand side bottom of the door. "In this is your equipment, your scanner, your translators, a breathing unit should you need it, but from what your uncle's said about this planet, it's not totally inhospitable. Oh, he also says you should keep your tail out of view for some reason. And remember to fire the retros as you enter the planet's atmosphere. I'm sure you know the basics of launching, so I won't say any more other than... good luck, Freddy. May the moon shine upon you." She spoke as she moved away from the door, which then closed. Freddy, having gotten his seatbelt on whilst Cherry had been talking, then sat still as the seat rotated backwards to face the simple half-circle console panel, and began pressing the buttons, the instruments and lights coming on across the panel as the lights outside came off, the two large doors opening, sunlight filling the room as the viewport adjusted, reducing the glare so Freddy could fully open his eyes. After continuing to press a few more buttons, a whirring sound was heard for a second followed by a humming, indicating the reactor and the engines were coming online. He then placed a thin gray headset on his face. "Planetary Control, this is EL1. Reactor and engines online. I am go for launch. Permission to fire engines?" Freddy spoke into the radio. "Permission granted." A voice came over the headset.

After seeing that the lightings indicating everything was ready and all set to go, then then opened the cover and pressed the button below it, the engines immediately firing blue, the gantry beams letting go, his arm jolting back as he was pushed into his seat as the ship came out of the building and raced up into the sky. He looked at the instruments, doing his habit of saying it out. "Engines at 20 million pounds of thrust, height 5000 feet, speed Mach 1.2... 10,000 feet, Mach 2.9...... 20,000 feet, Mach 5.9,.........50,000 feet, Mach 10.1.........100,000 feet, Mach 18. Time to retract wings." He said (the sky becoming a dark blue colour through the viewport) as he pressed a button, and, outside, the small wings moved into the full, streamlining the ship."120,000 feet, Mach 20. Orbital rockets...now." Freddy spoke as he pressed another button, the engines turning white, the speed increasing, Freddy now only focusing on that. "200,000 feet, Mach 23,.. Mach 24..25..26..27, entering upper stages of atmosphere. Planetary Control, this is EL1, wings retracted and orbital rockets fired, speed Mach 28. Escape velocity has been reached. I am leaving atmosphere." Freddy then said into the headset, watching as the dark blue turned in a few seconds into black, filled with countless stars.

After a few seconds, the orbital engines again changed from white to light blue, the ship now moving through space, Freddy now relaxing in his seat. He looked down at his instruments to see that the ship was flying on the corseted it was intended to do. At few minutes later, then looked right wards at a set of instruments he hadn't touched previously, looked at the screen which indicated the course, which he assumed was correct. "Speed Ok, first time doing it, but, heard it's not bad." He spoke to himself as he began flipping the switches and then pressed the light blue button which lit up a moment later, and a pale light blue beam shot out of the front of the ship, going ahead of it as it moved, and then stopped and began expanding from that point, making a light blue circular shaped razor thin wall ahead of the ship, which stood where it was as the ship came even closer. The ship came upon the wall of light, just big enough for it to fit through, and then it completely went through, the wall then suddenly disappearing into nothingness once the whole ship had gone through. Inside the ship, Freddy watched as the ship came upon the wall, and as soon as the front went through the hole, the viewport was bathed in light, which was filigreed out to reduce the brightness, and after a second, know the ship was now fully in, a moment later he saw a faith black circle in the midst of the brightness, which got bigger and bigger every second, and then as it came upon the black circle, the brightness going away, the stars appearing in the viewport, and well as the sight of the planet which he was going to, which he could now clearly. Its was definitely blue and green, much like the planet he'd just left, and somehow he could help but let a smile form on his face. Suddenly his ears were filled with the sounds of an alarm blaring, so he looked downwards to see that there was something wrong with the ship's landing System, as well the atmospheric flight control systems and a bunch of other systems, including the wings, meaning he basically had no control. Totally unsure what to do, he started looking at the other instruments frantically, then looked ahead to see they were still heading for the planet, and just about to enter the atmosphere, heading for a small thin island just apart from a continent. Remembering what Cherry said, he pressed the retros button, which fired, flowing the ship down to a safe speed, sat calmly for a few seconds when the ship began to rock, and suddenly flames began to appear on the window. He let out a scream and closed his eyes, fearing the ship was going to break up or something, and he heard the flaming sounds for a few more seconds (not feeling the heat due to the ships cooling system) until the flame sounds stopped so he looked to see the flames had stopped and he was now in a dark blue sky. Firing the retros again, reducing speed to Mach 6, he looked to see the dark blue quickly becoming light blue with white clouds. Looking downwards through the viewport, he saw the green surface. Pressing retros twice again, reducing speed to Mach 2, and then below the speed of sound, he grabbed his seatbelt straps, graphing himself for a bad landing, and upon impact upon the green surface, the jolt caused his head to hit back onto the seat, knocking him out cold.

I couldn't think of a different way these aliens measure speed and altitude, so I just said ours. To get into space a rocket has to achieve "escape velocity" or Mach 33 (25,000mph)! But due to this planets slight differences, it takes a bit less than that. I was inspired for the ship design from the Zero-X rocket of "Thunderbirds" (the old stuff) which I liked. The way the ship travelled was by a form of wormhole.

The "May the moon shine upon you" thing was something I came up with whilst writing that part, as a form of greeting or blessing. I'll try and remember it for further on.
