Chapter 13

Here it is, chapter 13! Hope you enjoy it!

(Flashback)

"As Jules Verne said, "Put two ships in the ocean, without wind, or tide, and, at last, they will meet." Flasheart felt numb, but regained his senses, feeling his at the moment motionless body, his eyes shut, ear's ringing as he began to remember what had happened. Then he pushed himself to open his eyes, his sight a bit blurry at first, but quickly began to get back into focus, seeing a white above him, with faints starches and marks in it, indicating a roof of some sorts. Finding the strength to move his neck, he moved his head leftwards to see himself in a sort of room, a grey box with a black front, a tall unit of some kind containing what looked like books (they had books where he'd come from) and saw a compartment jutting out of the wall, a black and dirty section in the middle with several objects on the top. Just as he began feeling something soft on his back, noticing his ears were ringing a lot less, he suddenly felt the pull of gravity, seeing he was leaning on the edge of something, and then then roll forwards a bit and fell down onto the ground. He landed on a mixture of something soft and something hard, letting out a groan as he hit the floor, quickly shaking the pain off and getting on his feet, feeling in his hands the two materials, staring at the room in awe. Awe and confusion, and wonderment, as he sniffed his nose, his brain being shocked by the unknown smells. Unknown, and different, both in smell and atmosphere. Then he realised that he was feeling any discomfort in his lungs due to the different atmosphere.

The ringing then stopped as he heard a soft sound and turned around to see a creature, unlike any he had ever seen, a Fangen, as they called any of those, before him. Standing on two legs, arms and hands very much like Werens, wearing fabric clothes, nose, mouth, two eyes, with ears on the side of its face, and surprisingly Furless, except for a bit of grey and brown on the top of its face. "Um, nice to see you awake." The creature spoke in a male voice , but the language wasn't understood by Flasheart, who stared at him silently before he looked downwards to see the creature holding two clear cylinders in his hands, probably made of glass. The creature glanced at the cylinders and nodded. "I got you some water. You want some?" He asked gently, Flasheart assuming the creature meant him no harm. So he then then held out his right hand, the creature looking confused at his hand and took the cylinder from him, held it up his his muzzle, sniffed it, smelling nothing but the familiar smell of water (which he knew was a key ingredient for life to form) and so he moved his to his mouth and let some in, tasting water. "Morning, Dad. Our guest looking any better?" He then heard a female voice speak from outside the room, hearing footsteps approaching and saw another creature come around the corner to the room. At tiny bit shorter than the other creature, its body looking a bit more slimmer, wearing fabric clothing, also furless, save for slightly longer and going down its back, and neck and light brown coloured. "Oh, you're awake." She spoke, looking at Flasheart in surprise.

(Present)

"Wait! I know you!" Freddy exclaimed, his eyes wide as he saw the woman on the black and white hologram, which went blank due to the interruption as everyone turned to look at him. "You know her?" Sara asked him, confused. "In my dreams." Freddy answered with a shrug. "Dream... or memory?" Flasheart muttered, but loud enough to them all hear. "Huh?" Freddy asked as he raised an eyebrow. "Look, guys, can we not get bogged down? Flasheart, proceed." Paul spoke out impatiently, Jai nodding in agreement. Flasheart closed his eyes and focused again.

(Flashback)

Flasheart walked out the back door of the building he was in, seeing green grass and trees stretching out in front of him. And a short distance from the building, was something in the grass ahead looked like his ship surrounded by dirt. He focused his eyes for a second, and saw that it was. "My ship!" He yelled out as he ran over to it, seeing the crater it made in the ground, the sphere front having a few dents in it covered in dirt. He saw a sizeable hole in the sphere revealing the cockpit, which from where he stood, looked mostly intact, as did the rectangular part, hoping the reactor and engines weren't too badly damaged. He heard the sound of footsteps as the male creature came up to his right, looking at the hole. "That's where we found you. We heard the crash, came out, and found the wreak. There was a bit of smoke but Jessica saw you through the hole, so she ran in there and brought you out. She felt your pulse and deduced you were unconscious. So we brought you into the house for the night." The male creature explained to him, though he didn't understand it. "I later learned their names were Jessica and Steven. She was a scientist visiting her fathers farm." Flasheart then ran down into the crater and put his hands on the sphere front and started pushing, straining as he attempted in vain to push the ship, which didn't move an inch. The female creature, Jessica stood on the male creature's right, Steven, looking leftwards at him, who looked rightwards at her, as she gestured at Flasheart, as he narrowed his eyes.

A few minutes later, Steve's red tractor was just beyond the edge of the crater, the rear of the ship behind it,  ropes and chains fixed to the ship from the tractor. Flasheart stood in between the tractor and ship on the right hand side as Jessica stood on the tractors left, her left hand raised. "Now!" She ordered, her left hand going down. Steven floored the engine, the tractors engine revving as it moved forwards, the chain/rope stretching out and going to the max. A few seconds later, Flasheart, his eyes now on the ship, saw the ship move an inch. "It moved!" Flasheart and Jessica both said, though Flasheart said it in his language. Steven kept the engine revving and a moment later the ship moved an inch again, then slowly started to move more quicker, but still slow. A few minutes later, the rectangular part was out beyond the crater slope, the the sphere putting pressure on the soil, quickly causing it to break away, making the sphere moved plastic the slope, Steven looking over his left shoulder as the ship was dragged forwards a few feet before stopping the tractor after a few seconds. Flasheart formed a smile on his face and looked at them both with a grateful expression.

Later, that afternoon, Flasheart had the ship in the empty barn, the ship now reactivated and lifted up off the ground with its intact landing gear, sitting in the cockpit, finishing a damage assessment. He then heard footsteps, sniffed a bit and smell Jessica approaching, so he looked leftwards through the hole as she came upon the hole with a glass of water in her hands. "I brought you a drink." She spoke. Flasheart didn't understand, but he then remembered something, so he knelt down and picked up from the control panel underside his black case, which he opened, placing one of the headphone like translators on his right forehead. "Say that again, please." He asked, the translator translating it into English, startling her a bit as she stepped a foot back. "Oh! Uh, brought you some water." Jessica repeated, as Flasheart got out through the hole, which was large enough for him to get through, stepping up to her. "Thank you." He replied as he took the glass in his right hand and took a slip. "How's the ship?" Jessica asked him. "Well, the engine and reactor core are intact, a few of the control system are out, but they're easily repairable. And there's the hole, but I should be able to take care of that." Flasheart answered. Just after saying that, they both jumped from the sound of thunder, Jessica looking over her right shoulder, Flasheart looking upwards to see dark clouds approaching. "How about you come into the house till the storm passes?" Jessica offered him. Flasheart stood still for a second, then looked rightwards/downwards in thought, before looking back at her. "Yes, I'll come in. Thank you." He replied, to which he gave a little smile and walked alongside him back to the farmhouse. Back in the house, safe from the pouring rain and occasional lightning, Flasheart sat down on the sofa he woke up on earlier, feeling the fabric, finding it comfy. He then looked leftwards to see something on the table seat on the other side, so he reached out his left arm and grabbed it with his left hand, brought it over and held it in both hands, feeling paper and saw it had writing and images on it. He would later learn it was called a newspaper, dated 1999.

(Present)

The PM looked confused. "Wait a minute! The date on that newspaper was 1999! 26 years ago! So you've been here all this time?!" He asked Flasheart, who shook his head. "Most of it. But as I'll see, I wasn't always here." Flasheart spoke. "Please don't interrupt as much." Jai mumbled, clearly as into this as everyone else in the room was, along with all those who were still up watching this play out. Flasheart nodded in gratitude before he focused on his memories.

(Flashback)

He heard footsteps and looked over his right shoulder to see Steven enter the room. "Dinners ready. If you aliens eat that kind of thing." He offered, hesitant. Flasheart shrugged before he got up. "I have scanner in my case. I think it could tell if the food will be safe for me or not." Flasheart suggested as he spoke, stepping up to Steven.

A few minutes later, after scanning the food, which confirmed it was safe for him, he was now sitting down at the dinner table, eating Sausage and Mash with Jessica and Steven's, surprisingly enjoying the meal. "So what's your alien civilisation called?" Jessica asked. "Alien?" Flasheart asked, confused. "Oh, it's a name in... popular culture used to describe life forms not of this world. Though we haven't actually meet any... until you." Jessica explained. "Welll, uh, my race is called the Weren. And what's your race called?" Flasheart asked back curiously. "Homo Sapiens, or Human Beings, or Humanity, or Earthlings, as this planets called Earth." Jessica replied. "Hmm, smart one, aren't you..." Flasheart complimented, stopping as they still hadn't gotten names, despite the time already acquainted. "My name is Steven. And this is my daughter, Jessica." Steven explained, dpoint at Jessica with his fork. "And your name?" Steven asked. "Flasheart." Flasheart answered. "Well, then, Flasheart,  what brings to our little planet?" Steven asked him. "Well, I was testing the ships new engine system when something went wrong and I crashed here." Flasheart answered honestly. "Think you can get home?" Jessica asked. "Yes, I can repair the ship, and go back, but it will take a few days. Of course, that depends on how much work I put in. Could work my tail off, but..." Flasheart explained, to which Jessica interrupted. "Hey, there's no need to rush. Unless you're needed back home so soon." Jessica interjected. Flasheart was silent for moment as he thought about, and shrugged as there wasn't really a need to rush things, and besides, he might learn a few things about this newly discovered planet.

And that's chapter 13 done! Hope you enjoyed it please leave a vote! Was hoping for a bit more decided on that for next time!
