"Come on, we're gonna be late, Swallowpaw!" Sandypaw meowed as Swallowpaw lapped at his fur to get it smoothed. The dim light of the apprentices' den held many nests, all but two empty. Sandypaw was impatiently in her nest right next to Swallowpaw. He finished grooming his fur and went with Sandypaw to the Clan meeting. They brushed through the vines at the entrance of the apprentices' den and went to the Bigtree.
        "..until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Marigoldpaw. I myself shall mentor you."
        "Marigoldpaw! Marigoldpaw! Marigoldpaw! Marigoldpaw!" The Clan chanted.
        "We also have something else. Hazeltalon, is it your wish to give up the name of a medicine cat and go to join the elders?"
         "It is.." The old she-cat meowed.
         "Your Clan honors you and all the service you have given to us. I call upon StarClan to give you many moons of rest."
          "Hazeltalon! Hazeltalon! Hazeltalon! Hazeltalon!" The Clan chanted as Hailstar leapt off the Bigtree and Hazeltalon padded to the elders den to rest. Liondust approached Swallowpaw and Sandypaw, and Hailstar, Marigoldpaw, Runningshadow and Beebrook were waiting to go on patrol. Once they got out, Marigoldpaw scented something.
          "Wait, guys.. there is rogue scent here. Either that or LakeClan.. I don't know.." Marigoldpaw meowed.
          "Great looking out. Stay on high alert, everyone.." Hailstar meowed. Marigoldpaw went closer to Swallowpaw and Sandypaw went closer to Beebrook.
           Suddenly, at least five cats sprang out from the overgrowth. Swallowpaw recognized these cats with a pang of fear; LakeClan cats!
          "What do we do?!" Marigoldpaw meowed, fear and panic rising in her voice
