WindClan broke through the thorn barrier that hid the ThunderClan camp to reveal the horror before them.

        Countless badgers were ravaging the camp. The cats were just barely able to defend themselves.

        WindClan cats flooded the stone hollow and lept onto the badgers, their faces drawn back in snarls.

        Soon, the badgers began to flee from the onslaught of cats.

        Nightcloud was able to finally see Crowfeather, who seemed to be speaking to Leafpool.

        Leafpool was standing near a dead she-cat with a crippled, who Nightcloud made out to be Cinderpelt, the senior medicine cat of ThunderClan.

        Crowfeather slowly walked towards Nightcloud, his eyes glowing warmly; something he hadn't done to her for years.

        Nightcloud's heart raced as he purred.

        "Let's go Nightcloud."
