jimin groaned for the umpteenth time ever since they got here, which was about already an hour ago. he rolled his eyes as he watches his pathetic best friend ogles at the wonderful sight displayed across the street. as usual, they were both hidden in the safety of his car. but honestly, he's so close to kicking jungkook out the door.

"oh, fuck, hyung." jungkook sighs dreamily, "he's just so perfect. kim taehyung is the embodiment of ethereal and blissful. just look at him, how can someone walk by him and not faint at such perfection? oh my beautiful taeta–"

"one more word and i'm kicking you out," jimin found himself cringing. the younger had been repeating those words for over an hour now, being the creepy stalker that he is, watching taehyung eat his breakfast, because according to their investigation, hoseok left early for work, so that leaves taehyung eating alone in some diner nearby. how did jungkook knew all these? jimin didn't wanna know.

"— besides, shouldn't we be stalking hoseok instead? he could be cheating right now and you'll be wasting your time ogling that idiot and miss a great opportunity of catching hoseok on act." jimin sighs, slumping back on his seat.

"hey, taehyung's not an idiot!" jungkook glared.

"i just told you that hoseok could be cheating at this very moment and all you heard was that?" jimin said in utter disbelief, eyes squinting small as he stared at his best friend like he's the dumbest person to ever walk on earth— well, it's not like he isn't, but whatever.

"fine, come on!" jungkook grumbled, slumping back on his seat. jimin could only sigh as he shook his head before turning the ignition.

according to jungkook's - and i quote - "source", because he's too much of a dumbass to admit that he pretty much stalk both hoseok and taehyung twenty-four seven, to the point of even going to his house almost every night to listen to whatever matters they converse about. at this, jimin wonders if the younger still stalks them even when they're doing the nasty, causing him to grimace at the thought as he shook his head.

well, according to jungkook, hoseok must be by his studio by now. the younger also states that hoseok is a great dancer and has competed in both national and international competitions, and that his studio is widely recognised by a lot of dancers. jimin couldn't help the scowl that took place in his features as he listens to the younger go on and on with these personal informations about hoseok. "how the fuck do you know these kinds of things, dude?" he raises a brow, shutting jungkook mid-sentence as he extends a finger to his lips.

jungkook merely shrugged, as though it wasn't a big deal. by this, jimin moved an inch away, a subtle terrified look on his face, earning a smack on the head from his best friend. "ever heard of twitter, hyung?" the younger rolled his eyes. "i may be a creep, but i'm not that creepy." he deadpans,

"uhh, yes you are, kookie." jimin smirks, earning a light punch to his arm.

"well, the fuck you waiting for, hyung?" jungkook hollers, "let's catch that asshat on act! c'mon, you're wasting time. drive, peasant."

"this bitc–"

"shush, midget" this time, it was jungkook who has his fingers extended to his mouth, shaking his head as he motions for the wheel. "just drive" he follows after, snickering as jimin turns to glare at him.

the drive to hoseok's whereabouts was easy, thanks to the empty street that saved them some time away from traffic. jungkook didn't even have to tell jimin the directions to the dance studio since the latter pretty much had been there for a couple of classes in the past. jimin was after all, a dancer— a great one at that. but still, his skills were no match from the great hoseok since the older pretty much devoted all his life into dancing, master every genre as if his life depended on it. unlike jimin who only discovered his talent when his older brother, taeyang, forced him to take some ballet classes five years ago.

when jungkook first came to him and asked about hoseok, he thought the younger was just curious about the senior dancer and maybe wanted to learn a lesson or two, since hoseok was indeed a magnificent dancer— only to be told that the younger wanted to destroy whatever connection he has with his ex boyfriend, kim taehyung. quite an immature act, really, but what did he expect from a mere adult like jungkook?

jimin watched from the driver's seat as jungkook sneered at the boy from the passenger seat through the huge glass window in which hoseok could be seen stretching, probably warming up for a routine or two. as his gaze flickered from the dancer to his best friend, he couldn't help but sigh. it saddens him to see jungkook throwing away his morals just for some guy who never even valued him the way the younger did.

come to think of it, didn't taehyung cheated on him. didn't that asshat already broke jungkook's dear heart? so why can't jungkook see just how undeniably stupid this whole plan is.

jimin didn't understand, and he refused to. taehyung was an asshole. he didn't deserve such a dedicated, loving, caring, and a dearly faithful person like jungkook. he refuse to understand why jungkook would all go through such lengths just for a cheating ass-hat like taehyung.

hoseok was a nice guy, he seemed kind and very respectful. most especially when it comes to his elders. and jimin thinks that for someone who's as bright as the sunshine, hoseok deserved way more than an asshole like taehyung. in fact, after the cruelty he brought upon jungkook, jimin thinks taehyung doesn't deserve hoseok.

"w-why are we doing this, kook?" he said, out of the blue, sighing as he slumped back on his seat. all these thinking was exhausting him.

the younger briefly glanced in his direction before he tuned his gaze back on the dancer who was now performing a routine to a class. "– to catch hoseok cheating, duh?"

"why hoseok?" this time, jimin couldn't help but frown. why, out of the two, did the younger chose hoseok. if anyone, they should've been spying taehyung. he was the cheater for christ sake!

"because," jungkook started but closed his mouth just after, unable to complete his sentence as he frowns.

"– because what, kook?" jimin pressed. "see? you don't even know why you're doing this. you're ruining a completely innocent person's life for no particular reason at all! this is absurd!"

jungkook only rolled his eyes, "i thought we're way past this, hyung." he hissed, as jimin's frown deepens. "i told you already, he might seem innocent but he's not! he's completely not! i could feel it."

"oh, you could feel it?" jimin matched his gaze, "you're basing everything on a what if, jungkook. at this point, you're just ridiculous. you don't even have proof about hoseok's scandals, and yet here you are, trying to claim he's the bad guy."

jungkook stared at him in a way that had jimin tensing. it was the stare he had always hated on the younger, the kind of stare that he loathes the most. for it screams combination of hatred, anger, betrayal and emptiness. it was the gaze he remembered when jungkook once came barging in his apartment in the middle of the night, drunk as he was crying and shakin, mumbling the same name over and over again like a mad man.

"— not everybody is what they perceived to be, hyung." he tells jimin, his voice spite with venom as he glared at hoseok. "i may not have uncovered his secrets yet, but i know there's something. and one way or another, i will unfold them. do not be deceived by kindness, hyung. because most of the best things in life could come from some terrible lie."
