I'm starting to think about having 3-4 day periods between updates so let's say i update on a Monday, then I have Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday tow write before I update on Friday, then i write on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday before updating again on Monday, I might do this, i might not let me now if I should or shouldn't
"Ian, come on you need to get up." Cameron said but I still did not move. It's been three days, since Jake was rushed to the hospital after the lion had somehow mysteriously just disappeared into thin air. Some thought it escaped from the zoo and ran, but, I knew the truth. Jake had made that lion, he had told us about the butterfly incident, that's how I knew. Cameron said he didn't believe me, he said I was delusional, but Cameron had his suspicions to, I knew he did. "Ian, Come on let's go!" He yelled in frustration, but I still didn't move, I didn't want to move, not until he was healed or at least until he was conscious. "Ian, Come on!" He yelled before grabbing my arm and trying to pull me towards the door, this would have succeeded if he had not been blasted away by an unseen electrical force. As soon as this happened I stood up and walked over to him, my face emotionless, and my actions calm, as I neared him he backed up until he hit a wall, I kept advancing and was soon in front of him, in one fluid motion I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and dragged him up the wall where I stayed unmoving my face still a blank stare. "I will tell you this one more time, I am not leaving until he is healed, or until he is conscious, understand?" I said my voice calm, steady, but full of authority, but it didn't sound like me. His response was his head nodding so fast I could've sworn his neck should have snapped. I dropped him and went back to my chair as I sat down my phone rang, it was Mark, I quickly answered but was met with silence. "Hello? Mark are you there?" I asked but was met this time not with silence, but with pained, ragged breaths, as if he had just ran all the way across the entire quickly hung up, and walked over to Jake checking if he was fine before running out into the hallways of the hospital, as I ran down the hallways weaving in and out of crowds like a star football player, I looked around me and noticed people that were bleeding profusely, and others were crying from the pain, one man was passed out while doctors and nurses were running around him trying to stop the bleeding from his severed left leg. All of this was going on around me as I ran through the hospital, it was overwhelming, I felt like the walls were closing in all around me and slowly crushing me until I was absorbed into a subatomic world. I was brought back to reality as I neared the exit, I ran into the doors not caring to open them, and was surprised that the doors were blasted outwards as if an explosion had happened, I couldn't think much about that so I turned and ran, I ran straight towards my house.
As I ran, everything became just a blur, there was nothing that I could identify before it sped away like a bullet, I reached my house in an unbelievable time considering the hospital was a good forty to fifty blocks from my house, I ran inside and ran up to Marks bedroom, as I ran in there I knew something bad was about to happen, Mark was lying on his bed perfectly still, but that wasn't what unsettled me, it was what was on him that amazed me, Mark's body had small flames dancing on and around him, the longer I stood there amazed at what I was seeing, the more flames came, soon enough his whole body was engulfed in flames, and then came the room, then the house, I scrambled to the window and jumped out right before there was a huge explosion in Mark's room, as I fell towards the ground from the second story window the last thing I heard were screams that could only be caused by agonizing pain, soon followed by the all too familiar wails of sirens before everything went black and I was forced to relive a memory I wished I would never had to see again.
*Flashback, 12 Years Earlier*
"Ian, come here your mother and I need to talk to you." My dad called from downstairs up into my room where I was playing with my army men, as I walked downstairs, I heard a car pull up into the drive way, I started running down the stair towards the living room, but stopped as soon as I heard a loud BANG! as the front door was blasted inwards down onto the living room floor, as I heard this I stopped and crept towards the stairs railing and peeked through the bars and saw a man in black clothes with a ski mask and a gun out, pointed straight at my parents. "Hand him over Sean and nothing will happen, don't hand him over, well we are going to have pretty big mess." The man said as he walked closer towards my parents. I saw my parents look at each other and they seemed to have an unspoken conversation between themselves before they nodded to each other and my dad looked back at him before saying two words. "Ian, hide!" Were the last words to ever leave his mouth before a bang! could be heard and blood sprayed from my dad's head as he was shot, as he fell to the ground everything seemed to slow down as my mom ran forward and tackled the man onto the ground before another bang! could be hear and my mom too was killed before my eyes. I remember the only thing I felt during that moment was fear, pure fear before I ran upstairs as I heard the back door open. "Hey, guess whose ba-" Were the words that came from the back door of the house before two sets of footsteps followed by a crash! Then the sounds of glass being broken before it all went quiet. I lay frozen in fear under my bed before I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and the door to my room was swung open quietly. "Ian, Ian you in here?" someone called out as I peeked out from under the bed and looked up at him, he was standing leaning on the doorframe clutching his left arm, blood seeping between his fingers as he looked at me with saddened eyes.
"W-w-who are you?" I asked terrified as I stared up at the person who was standing in the door way and couldn't help but notice he looked just like dad, except younger, and more muscled. "Ian, I'm your brother, my name's Mark, the reason you haven't ever seen me, is because I've been away a college but I promise you, I am your brother." He said cautiously, almost as if he was talking to someone holding a gun. "They're dead, aren't they?" I asked him looking down at the floor as I felt tears start to form in my eyes, I didn't want to seem weak in front of him, I didn't know why, I just knew I couldn't. "Yeah, they are, but we can't keep thinking about it, don't think of them as dead, think of them as if they are asleep." He said as he started walking towards the door, stayed there, letting what he said sink in, he was right, they weren't dead, they were just asleep, I stood up and walked downstairs and saw my him kneeling there, next to our parents.
