I groaned as I opened my eyes before shutting them because of the harsh bright light, I couldn't tell whether I was still outside or not, I opened my eyes again letting them adjust to the light before looking around. Well I wasn't outside which I was grateful for, but I was however, inside a hospital, now you might be wondering, 'Why don't you like hospitals?' well that's because, after my parents died, I would get bullied at school because all the kids thought I killed them, I can't even count how many trips I took to the ER before I was 10, all because of either broken bones, or self-harm. "Ah, you're finally awake." Someone said breaking me from my thoughts as I looked up, it was a doctor, he was wearing the usual white doctor lab coat. "Uh, yeah what happened?" I asked not remembering what had happened before I passed out. "Well, we don't really know, all we know is that your house went up in flames, the flames had originated from upstairs in your brother's bedroom, miraculously your brother was not hurt severely but he did sustain minor injuries, he also inhaled a great deal of smoke from the fire, but not enough to cause him too much internal damage." The doctor said as he looked at the readings on the heart rate monitor next to me. "Is he okay?" I asked wondering if he was actually fine or not, it's not like I didn't trust him, I just wanted to make sure he was fine. "Yes, he is fine, just in urgent care because of the smoke he inhaled." The doctor said and I nodded. "So, am I fine? When can I leave?" I asked him he looked at me noticing my eagerness, but it wasn't to leave, it was to check on Mark. "You're fine, just a couple of minor injuries, you have a bruised rib, and a sprained wrist from your fall but that's pretty much it. As for when you can leave, you can leave right now if you want, just let me unhook the IV, and you're good to go." He said and again I nodded as he started unhooking the IV and then wrapped a bandage around it. "Thanks doctor, have a good day." I said as I left the room and went to the front desk. "Hi, how can I help you?" The lady asked politely. "Uh, hi I'm looking for Mark Riesman, I'm his brother." I said as I looked around I noticed that no one else was in here, when I looked outside I noticed that there were 3 armed vehicles outside. "Oh, yes he's on the second floor in room 218." She said as she looked at me and pointing towards the elevators, I nodded and thanked her before walking towards the elevators and pushing the up button and waiting for the elevator to come down.

Finally after what seemed like hours, the elevator came and I stepped inside, turned around, and pressed the button labeled 2 before the doors closed and there was silence except for the low humming of the elevator as the ropes were pulled and lifted by the huge gears above, soon enough the doors opened to reveal empty white hallways. "What the hell?" I said out loud, an empty lobby I could understand, but an empty hallway where doctors and nurses were supposed to be walking around? Not so much, this seemed like that one episode from Teen Wolf where Stiles got possessed by the nogitsune and attacked the hospital, except for the blood, papers, and medical equipment strewn across the halls, yes I do watch Teen Wolf don't judge, anyways back on track. I looked around at the numbers beside the doors, 214, 215, 216, 217, bingo 218, I pushed the door open only to find my brother lying on a bed surrounded by two men. "What do you think? What is he?" One of the men asked, he was tall, about 6 foot, he was wearing one of those stereotypical black suits that 'secret agents' wear in movies and whatnot. "I'm not sure, but one thing's for sure, he's human. All his tests indicate he is, but there is something... off about him." Another said, this one was wearing an officer's uniform. I was staring at them for a while before they noticed me. "Hey! What are you doing here?!" Yelled the officer as he started walking towards me. "I'm checking up on my brother, what are you doing here?" I asked starting to get pissed off, I was so mad that electricity started jumping in between my fingers as I stood there glaring at him. "We," he said gesturing to his friend. "Are... experimenting on him." I couldn't believe it, he had the nerve to tell me they were experimenting on him, he couldn't even make up an excuse for why they were here. "Get, out." I said through gritted teeth, I was mad, no I was pissed I couldn't control myself, white started creeping into my vision. "What if we do-" was as far as the man got before I ran at him and threw him into the wall before he crumpled onto the ground unconscious. I turn back to the other before I heard a bang! And everything went black.
