Winter POV

After our last mission (Y/n) has been continually hired by Atlas for other jobs and we were repeatedly partnered up for them. We were currently underneath a bomb that was  found in a airship docking port. "Winter,need you to come over here and help me real quick" he said underneath the bomb which was being held up in the air

"Yeah what do you need?" I said laying down next to him

"Well, what I need for you to do is hold up this piece right here" he said pointing to a part

"What is this part?" I asked putting my hand s on it

"That is the part that makes the bomb explode and if it falls out it will blow up" he said cutting a wire

"WHAT?!" I exclaimed looking at him and he said

"I just cut the ground wire which means that you cant take your hands off of it" he said

"Fine, what's next?" I asked to him and he rolled away saying

"I don't know what but sucks to be you!" he yelled back and jumped behind a barrier.

It then started to beep and the timer then hit zero. I braced myself for a big blast which never came. I then got up and yelled to (Y/n) "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?"

"Well cutting the ground wire usually works about half the time so it was a coin flip" he said getting out from the barrier that he hid behind

"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked as he sat on a car hood

"Would you have held it up if I told you that"

"Touche, but now I feel that you ow me"

"What do you want me to do?"

"Well I want you to shoot Qrow with this paint grenade launcher" I said and pulled out one I had behind me

"Fine then" he said and then walked away.

Time skip brought to you by a chibi Winter and (Y/n) driving a tank

It has been a week since I told (Y/n) to shoot Qrow and currently Qrow was walking down the street and I saw (Y/n) sneak up behind him and he pulled out the launcher and pointed it at him. "Hey, Qrow" he said and when Qrow looked at him he fired and the grenade hit Qrow in the center of the chest. Fortunately it was a paint grenade and not a real one and Qrow was now covered in neon pink paint. (Y/n) then turned invisible and ran away. I was laughing and holding my stomach because I was laughing to much. As funny as that was I actually had some more serious business to do here. I was planning to meet Weiss to ask her some questions about relationships. I walked into the restaurant we were going to meet at and I then spotted her and sat with her

"So Winter what did you want?" she said looking at me

"Well, I was wondering if you know how I could ask someone out?" and Weiss put her hand up to her chin

Well, I would just be honest and try to be forward about it" and I let out a breath of relief

"Thank you little sister"and we hugged for a few seconds till we parted

"Winter just go tell them how you feel and it will be fine" we then stopped and walked out of the restaurant and we parted ways. As I flew back to base I thought 'I can do this. I can tell him how I feel when we landed I saw (Y/n) at his usual place in the range but this time with a .50 cal sniper rifle.

"Hey (Y/n), how are you doing this fine evening" I said sitting next to him

"Well, Qrow was pretty pissed at me for shooting him and I didn't stop running for at least 1 hour and I then had to hitch hike my way back to base. So Schnee how have you been?" he said reloading the sniper

"Well I was going to tell my crush how I feel about them"

"Well I hope it works out for ya" he said started cleaning the scope

"Thanks (Y/n), I was actually also hoping to be able to tell you something"

"What is it?" he said looking at me

"Um, well I , um" I said as my face got really red

"Do you know where I can find the nearest bathroom" I said kind of loudly

"Um, yeah it is right over there" he said pointing to a door near him

"Thanks" I said and then hurried in there and was mentally cursing myself 'Damn it! Why cant I tell him!' I thought and then casually waked out and saw he was still there and I thought I"ll tell him when the time is right'.

Finally got off my ass and changed what Weiss said, I know it was a bad call and here is a changed version which is probably much better
