How and why Jungkook ended up allowing a stray kitten into his house just because a girl wanted it - the brunette hadn’t a clue.  Everyone was back inside his house by this time, all in the living room. Kaesi had the little kitten propped up on her lap; the ball of fluff letting out small mewls here and there. Of all things, why did it have to be a kitten? Jungkook would’ve been fine with a dog or anything else, really. Cats just didn’t seem to like him, so he made the feeling mutual. Although he couldn’t really deny how cute the small fluff ball was.

“Alright, well, if you’re keeping that kitten then we need to go to the store to get the things it needs,” Jungkook spoke up, directing the statement to the redhead. The girl raised her gaze to the brunette, nodding her head to know she heard him and that she agreed. “Okay, well let’s get going now then so we don’t stay out too late. Plus, we don’t know when it has to pee or if it’s thirsty, etc.”

The redheaded nodded her head as she picked up the kitten in her arms and stood up from her seat on the couch. She carried the kitten towards the front door, waiting for everyone else to be ready to go.

“Who wants to go with Kaesi and I to get the things the kitten needs?” Jungkook asked, standing up from his position from the couch and heading to the front door to pick up his keys from the kitchen’s windowsill. “Oh and Seokjin I’ll need to take your van since we’re getting a few things,” the brunette called out as he grabbed the pinkette’s keys off of the counter.

“That’s fine, but don’t go in the trunk!” The pinkette yelled back from the living room. “Also, Joonie and I aren’t going - I will get dinner started for us while you guys are gone.”

The brunette nodded his head, waiting for the others answers. Although he could basically tell by the duo sleeping on the couch, that neither Yoongi nor Jimin were going with them to the pet store. All that was left were Taehyung and Hoseok, whom were already by the door waiting to go.

“Alright, good. We have four people so it’ll be easier to bring the things back inside after we get all of its necessities,” the brunette spoke to himself as he walked towards the front door of the house.

He unlocked the front door and pushed it open for everyone to exit before him, him going out last. With Seokjin’s keys in hand, he unlocked the van for everyone to get inside of the vehicle. Jungkook got in shortly after everyone, Taehyung riding shotgun while the other two stayed in the back with the little kitten.

Jungkook placed the key in its keyhole and twisted it, starting the ignition. The car then started shortly afterwards, the brunette pulling out of his driveway when everyone was set and ready to go.

The drive to the pet store took around twenty minutes, since they got lost once or twice. Since Jungkook had never really been to the pet store, considering he didn’t have any pets, he was a little confused with the directions given to him by his GPS. But, they were able to make it to the store safely and in a decent amount of time, considering the pet store was only ten minutes away from his house.

The group of four piled out of the van and headed into the store, all staying together in their group of four. After all, the brunette was not going to let the redhead and ginger get out of hand buying things for the girl’s kitten. They were only at the store to get it a food bowl, water bowl, litter box, litter, a cat bed, food, maybe some treats and maybe a toy or two. That’s all they were going to the store for.

“We can’t go crazy in here, we are only looking for a few things for it and that’s it,” the brunette spoke to the rest of the group, whom were a little too focused on the orange ball of fluff. Jungkook only sighed in annoyance before walking down one of the aisles in search of the supplies; the rest of group following in suit.

The first aisle they went down had the foods and treats for all sorts of pets, which was good because that knocked out two of the things on the list. Jungkook grabbed a bag of kitten food and placed it in the cart he brought with him then walked further down the aisle in search of kitten treats. Once he found a decent priced brand, he put in the cart and moved on down the next aisle.

The next aisle over had food and water bowls, which was exactly what the brunette needed to get for the kitten. He walked up one of the shelves, looking trough the bowls and their prices. He didn’t want to get the kitten a super fancy bowl but he didn’t necessarily want to get it a cheap bowl that could harm the kitten or didn’t look like it would last a while.

Jungkook tapped his chin as he looked at the bowls, thinking of which one to get. But, a girlish voice from behind him broke him from his concentration. The voice wasn’t Kaesi’s because her voice wasn’t all too high-pitched, but the person behind him did have that sounding voice.

The brunette turned around to see a female worker standing extremely close to Kaesi. Now, he didn’t think much of it because the girl worked at this pet store and Kaesi was indeed holding a small kitten in her arms. But when the brunette noticed the worker placed her hand on the redhead’s forearm and took another step closer to her, the brunette knew something was up. Taehyung and Hoseok were too busy talking about something together that they failed to notice the uncomfortable redhead and the girl that seemed like she was trying to make a move on her.

“So cutie, what are you looking for, for your kitten?” The worker asked, batting her eyelashes innocently at the redhead, who was beyond confused and a little uncomfortable-looking with the girl’s close proximity. “I could always help you out with it, if you know what I mean,” the girl winked at the redhead.

Kaesi took a step away from the girl, only for the girl to take another step closer to the redhead. Kaesi’s gaze moved to the brunette with almost a pleading look in her eyes. The brunette nodded and stepped towards the two, but stopping once the redhead opened her mouth to speak.

“U-um, I’m sorry b-but I am straight,” Kaesi stuttered, bringing Hobi closer to her chest and away from the worker. The worker only laughed, leaning her head on the redhead’s shoulder for a quick second before looking back up at the redhead.

“Yeah, so am I,” the worker smiled flirtatiously at the redhead. “I’m a cute girl, you’re a cute boy, we would-”

“I’m going to have to ask you to leave my sister alone now,” Jungkook finally stepped in, walking over to Kaesi and placing an arm around her shoulder in a sort of protective way. “And before you saying anything, she is a girl. Not a boy.”

The look on the worker’s face quickly went to one of disgust. “If that’s a girl, then she is one ugly girl because I could have sworn when someone doesn’t have boobs and has a face like that, they’re supposed to be a boy.”

Kaesi’s face went stoic. She removed herself from both the worker’s and Jungkook’s grasp before dashing towards the exit of the store. Jungkook turned towards the female worker, his gaze more of a glare to the girl.

“How could you say that to her? She isn’t an ‘ugly girl,’” Jungkook turned around and tossed the van’s keys to Hoseok, signaling for him to go check on the redhead before turning his attention back to the worker in front of him. “Don’t ever disrespect my sister because she isn’t super girly or doesn’t have much of a chest. She’s still a girl so she deserves to be treated like one.”

Jungkook crossed his arms over his chest, Taehyung slowly making his way up to the brunette’s side. Taehyung grabbed onto the younger’s arm and yanked it gently, looking up at the brunette with pleading eyes. “Come on, Jungkookie. Let’s just get the things for Hobi and go, okay? We can talk to Kaesi after we are done,” the blonde pleaded, not wanting for anyone to be upset.

Jungkook only nodded and uncrossed his arms, grabbing one of the blonde’s hands in the process. “If you’ll excuse us, we have to go get things for my sister’s kitten now,” the brunette sent a fake smile towards the worker’s direction before heading back towards the bowls he was looking at, not letting go of the blonde’s hand the entire time.

The duo were quick to round up everything needed for the kitten and paid for the things bought, before making their way back out to the pinkette’s van. When they got back to the van, they were a little surprised at what they saw.

Inside the van, Kaesi was leaning her head onto Hoseok’s shoulder while he had an arm around her. That caused the brunette to smile, because that meant they were getting along better and soon enough, they could possibly end up in love just like the brunette needed to finish his romance story.

“The plan is slowly working,” the brunette spoke quietly to the blonde. Taehyung only nodded before looking up at Jungkook, who was looking right back down at him. The blonde grinned widely at the younger, causing him to smile back at the elder boy.

“Indeed it is.”
