William Smith's Plans (pt 2)

The class hasn't ended yet. The bell for the school lunch rung and echoed in the halls for everyone to keep hearing it. Although I think it's unnecessary to let the bells echo in the school halls for the students will immediately dash to the canteen as soon as the first toll of the bell rings. Lunch is really busy in the canteen. I know it's because they are on break that they feel like this. I can understand. A short mental break from all the mental exhaustion.

Aside from the students fighting over the best spots, there are a few who don't want to involve in such games-- me included.

"Surrender now Arden! You will never get a chance like this again!"

"Shut up, Michael! You dare talk to me in that disrespectful tone of yours?"

"Both of you--" a woman pops out of nowhere and punched both Arden and Michael on their thick, hard heads. "Why are the both of you so childish!"

"Ah, school president." I finally remembered.

"Who are you calling 'School President', you Alcohol?" The woman ruffled my hair playfully. "Voting hasn't been done yet, but it seems like I've already won!"

"Of course it's obvious you're already the winner! The voters might feel threatened if you don't." I teased, wearing a smug and arrogant face.

"My, my. It seems like we're all lively here, aren't we?" Bill enters the scene, with his usual shadow behind him, his hoodie covering most of his face. If I'm as tall or taller than him, I won't be able to see his face at all. But luckily, I'm short so I can tell right away. And it's not like Bill has another shadow.

"Hey there, Bill." The trio greeted immediately. I wouldn't wonder why they casually do it as if they're used to it. After all, these three were his seatmates. Of course, before we exchanged seats.

"She's technically right though, Marie." He light-heartedly chuckled with his signature smile.

"D-don't think that I'm that threatening!" Marie blushed. It suddenly irritated me, so I chose to direct my attention to somewhere else.

My, that's a good ceiling right there.

"What are you diverting your attention away from?" A voice came out of nowhere, making me flinch in surprise.

"I thought I told you to stop putting your nose in somebody else's business!" I scolded, folding my arms.

"Hmph. Like hell I'd listen to you." He clicked his tongue and turned away.

"Now look here, you bastard--!" I was an inch away from crushing his skull to the ground! ONE INCH! And yet again, Bill Le Bucks here just had to stop my arm again.

"Playtime's over. I'm hungry. Let's go eat together. Sound fun?" He turned to the trio to get their approval. Marie is too busy getting her face flushed red by someone who's younger, Arden glares knives at Bill, and Michael is the only sane man who nodded as an answer.

As for me...

"I don't want to eat with this guy. Can you kick him out?" I pointed at Mr. Hoodie with my thumb.

"You sure do like to easily disregard people like that."

"I don't want to hear that from you."

"Sorry, I can't kick him out. But if you don't want to be with him that much, I'm not forcing you to join, you know?" Bill once again said with a never fading smile. Sometimes, a smile is really scary. That goes for Bill too. I think Bill's smile is the scariest one so far.

I don't want to part with them, but I don't really like to be with that guy. Besides, Jane told me to not spend any time with him. I can't atone for the times that I can't help it, but for the times that I can, I guess this is what she wants.

"I understand. I'll go eat with Jane then. See ya."

"Seriously, what are you planning, William?" Simon asked in a more angry tone, confused as to why the usually friendly person is harsh on one girl.

"I already told you that I'm not planning anything." Nevertheless, Bill continued to act innocent.

"Can you at least tell me why you're picking on her?" Simon, still troubled, asked with mild desperation.

"Hahaha. Does it look that way?" The laugh, as Simon knows, is fake. "Must be a coincidence."

Not taking that as an answer, Simon continued to observe his best friend's weird actions.
