Pinepool watches as Stormkit sorts the herbs out on the floor.

"Good job Stormkit. I want you to come with me to MotherMouth tonight." Stormkit stops what she's doing and looks up at Pinepool with sparkling eyes.

"Really?" She asks. Pinepool nods. Stormkit squeals with excitement and jumps around the den.

"Calm down. It's only Sunhigh. We leave at Dusk." Pinepool says to his soon to be apprentice. Stormkit drooped her tail a bit. "But while we're waiting, I do need you to bring these herbs to Willowleaf for her bellyache." He adds. Stormkit nods and picks up some chervil and pads out of the den. Stormkit then heads into the elder's den and sees Willowleaf in her nest. She lifts her head up as Stormkit pads closer.

"Thank you Stormkit. This should be the last batch you give me because my bellyache has gone away mostly." Willowleaf purrs. Stormkit sits up with pride and dips her head to the elder, then heads back out into the clearing. She spots her sister talking to Berrypaw outside of the apprentice's den. She runs over to them excitedly.

"Berrypaw! Lavapaw! Guess what!" Stormkit chirps.

"What?" Berrypaw asks and tips her head.

"Pinepool said that I am going to MotherMouth tonight!"

"So you're going to be a medicine cat apprentice?" Lavapaw asks, obviously not impressed. Stormkit frowns.

"What's wrong Lavapaw?" She asks.

"I was just hoping that you would choose to be a warrior, so we can train together." Lavapaw mews.

"We still can! I still have to learn to hunt and learn battle moves for protection. I can ask if I can come train with you!" Stormkit chirps.

"But it just won't be the same." Lavapaw sighs and heads into the apprentice's den. Stormkit hangs her head in sadness.

"Don't be sad. If you want to be a Medicine cat, then be one. Lavapaw is just upset right now. She'll get over it." Berrypaw purrs and runs her tail down the silver tabby's back. Stormkit looks up at the pink apprentice and smiles.

"Ok." She mews and runs back into the medicine den. Berrypaw pads back into her den and curls up into her nest. Someone nudges her flank with their nose. Berrypaw lifts her head a little and sees that Snowpaw is asleep on her. Berrypaw purrs and drifts off into sleep.

Berrypaw jolts awake, waking Snowpaw in the process.

"You ok?" He yawns.

"Yeah. Just a bad dream." Berrypaw pants. Snowpaw sits up and stretches his paws out and arches his back. He then heads out of the den. Berrypaw follows him, but notices that Scorchflower isn't in camp again.

"Snowpaw, Scorchflower's not in camp again. Should we tell someone about this?" She asks her brother. Snowpaw shrugs. They then hear a growl from outside of camp. Berrypaw and Snowpaw run over towards the entrance and peek out of the tunnel, seeing Russetear and Scorchflower snarling at each other.

"Why don't you just join that rogue if you love him so much!" Russetear hisses.

"I can't! I'm a clan cat and I can't leave. I have to help them out. Plus I can't leave you! I love yo-"

"Foxdung! If you loved me, you wouldn't be with that piece of Crowfood! Stay away from me and my kits!" Russetear hisses and heads back into camp.

"You two heard and seen nothing." He growls to the apprentices as he walks by them. Snowpaw and Berrypaw glance at each other until they heard a growl. They look up and see Scorchflower with a snarl on her face.

"I'm going to make your life miserable." She hisses at one of them and heads back into camp.

"Berrypaw! I need to talk to you!" Fernstar calls. Berrypaw glances at her brother and heads over towards Fernstar. Fernstar signals for Berrypaw to follow her into her den. Berrypaw enters the den and sits in front of the leader.

"What is it?" She asks Fernstar.

"I need to speak to StarClan about something, and I want you to come with me." Fernstar meows. Berrypaw tips her head.

"But aren't the medicine cats going tonight?" She asks. Fernstar nods.

"Yes. That's why we're going tomorrow. I need you to get as much rest as possible, since it's a long way from here." She mews. Berrypaw sways her tail in excitement. 'It must be an honor to go see the MoonStone with the Clan leader!' She thought. Berrypaw runs out of the den and into the apprentice's den where Lavapaw is still asleep. 'She can't be in here all day. I got an Idea.' Berrypaw pads out of the den and glances around the clearing. She spots Sweetglow over by the nursery entrance talking with Cloverfur. Berrypaw heads over towards them.

"Sweetglow, Lavapaw is still asleep in the apprentice's den. I didn't know if you would like to take her out on a patrol or something." She news to the mentor.

"Yes actually, I was thinking about taking her out to practice her hunting. Can you go get her for me?" Sweetglow asks. Berrypaw nods and pads back over to the apprentice's den.

"Lavapaw! Sweetglow needs you!" Berrypaw hisses to the sleeping cat.

"5 more minutes!" Lavapaw growls.

"No! Sweetglow needs you!" Berrypaw growls in annoyance. Lavapaw groans and sits up. She smoothes her chest out and pads out of the den. Berrypaw sighs and curls up into her nest and slowly drifts off to sleep.
