Chapter Twenty-Nine
THIRD POV
"With all of the extra enchantments, that'll be nine galleons and eighteen sickles." Harry took out his bag and began counting coins, only for Severus to hand over the requested amount of money. At Harry's glare, Severus chuckled. "It is mine to pay, Karus. As your dominant, I provide." Harry huffed and crossed his arms, causing Madame Malkin to giggle. She handed Severus the robes, who promptly shrunk them down and placed them in his robes pocket. Severus and 'Leo' left the store, only for Draco and Tom to swiftly join. "Did you both get the stuff you needed?" Draco smirked arrogantly while Tom nodded, saddening 'Leo' with their forced acting. "Where to next, Professor Snape?" Severus felt the urge to shiver at that sinful voice, reminding him of the dangerous outfits Madam Malkin had given his submissive. Clearing his throat, Severus was glad that he was a vampire, stopping his urge to blush. "I shall be going to the Apothecary to get your potions equipment, I needed to pick up a few ingredients anyway. Tom and Draco will be taking you to Flourish and Blotts." 'Leo' sighed and nodded, as much as he wished to be independent, it was nice having mates to look after him. Severus quickly left the group, as the Apothecary was on the other side of Diagon Alley, closer to Knockturn Alley than anything. Harry shifted closer to his mates at the loss of Severus, and grabbed Draco's hand as he spied a red aura radiating from someone inside of the bookstore. Draco looked down at his 'cousin' in concern, but only gripped his hand a little tighter in reassurance.
A few minutes later, the group of three entered the store, passing the 'used books' shelf without a glance. Tom separated from his submissives with a wave to look at a few inheritance texts and possibly find books on Nature Lords. Draco pulled out his Hogwarts list from one of the inside pockets of his cloak and started guiding 'Leo' to the Hogwarts shelves. "What classes do you think you'll take this year, Leo?" 'Leo' hummed as he walked to the shelf with several feral books. The books suddenly stilled, as they heard the sound of a siren. 'Leo' and Draco glanced at each other before 'Leo' began humming a soothing tune, watching in awe as the books started to snore, lured to sleep. "I'll be taking Care for Magical Creatures, Advanced Transfiguration, Advanced Charms, Art, probably Advanced Defense Agaisnt the Dark Arts, maybe Advanced Herbology, and hopefully Severus will let me into the Advanced Potions class. What will you be taking, Draco?" As soon as his voice stopped, the books seemed to wake up, and were growling again, though quieter. 'Leo's' eyes widened, but Draco only chuckled. "I bet Severus'll let you in. The only reason you didn't do so well was because he was so harsh on you, and if a few Slytherins dumped things into your cauldron, it couldn't be helped." Draco whistled softly, looking away from his pouting 'cousin' who lightly pinched his arm. Draco yelped, jumping a little. One of the books on the shelf next to him fell off, thumping on Draco's head before falling to the floor and busting open, biting at the domsubmissive's shoes. 'Leo' quickly started to sing and the book calmed, licking 'Leo's' feet and wagging its belt like a tail. 'Leo' cooed and picked up the book, frowning at the shelf it fell off of. Draco cursed to himself and dusted his shoes lightly while glaring at the offending book. "Come on Leo, that can be your class book since it likes you so much." 'Leo' giggled and scratched the book on the cover underneath its mouth, causing it to pant like a happy puppy. Draco huffed and walked to the next isle, leading 'Leo' to the charms section. Three more books fell on Draco's head in that section, and the boy was getting rather annoyed. Walking through the transfiguration section, Draco kept his gaze up, trusting 'Leo' to guide him away if any people got in the way. Less than ten steps in, two books were pushed off the shelf directly over Draco's head and he caught sight of a human hand pushing them. Stepping back and out of the way, Draco scowled as the books thumped against the wooded floor. Walking quickly down the isle to see who could be embarrassing him, Draco didn't see 'Leo' getting grabbed and jerked backwards by someone. "Draco! To-" the person covered 'Leo's' mouth with their hand, and 'Leo' gave no apologies as he bit into it with his long canines. The person gasped in pain and withdrew their hand and hold on 'Leo' just as Tom stepped behind them and Draco appeared in the front of the isle, wands already drawn. "You!" Draco growled at the figure, now known to be Hermione Granger, the 'smartest witch of her age'. "Give me back my cousin!" 'Leo' ran to Draco, only for a shout to stop him in his tracks. "Petrificus Totalus!" 'Leo's' body stiffened and he fell flat on his back, stiff as a board. "Protego! Accio Harry Potter!" Draco and Tom both growled, running forwards. Thinking fast, Hermione cast a banishing charm that threw Draco back, but Tom was too heavy for it to work, and too quick. "Immobulus! Accio Hermione Granger! Incarcerous! Colloshoo! Finite Incantatem!" Tom was relentless as he froze Hermione, summoned her, tied her up, adhesived her to the floor, and cast the anti-hex for 'Leo's' petrification. Casting a quick 'silencio' on the girl, Tom walked over to 'Leo' and grabbed him, pulling the little male into his arms. Giving a low hiss, Tom nuzzled his head into 'Leo's' hair. "Don't scare me like that again precious. I can't loose you, not to Dumbledore." Draco holstered his wand and glared at Granger, until all three males heard steps coming towards them. Tom let go of 'Leo' and Draco held his arms out, as if to receive a hug. "Oh Leo, I was worried! What was that girl doing to you?" The owner of the shop came around the corner, wand drawn, only to see a sight that filled him with warmth. Two similar-looking boys were hugging with tears in their eyes as a man watched over them protectively, with a girl bound and silenced, glaring and yelling at the males. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but what happened here?" Tom merely raised an eyebrow and turned to the smallest boy, still shaking with tears. "Sh- she- she tried to take me! I know my family has enemies, but they've never gone after me before! My parents thought I'd be safe until at least my sixth year!" The boy sniffled again and grabbed the older boy around the middle, hiding his face inside of the elder's cloak. The man sheathed his wand and let his gaze flicker from the boys, jerking a thumb behind him. "Ay, it's as the lad says. I was merely passing by fer some inheritance books b'fore my ears 'eard a squabble goin' on. Can't say I knew the reason, just tha' tha' lady there was the culprit." A little unnerved by the man's thick accent, the shop owner glared disapprovingly at the face most everyone knew well by now, the best friend of the boy-who-lived. "Ms. Granger, do you not respect the safe haven of books? I would have believed you to be the one who understood it the most, seeing as you are the 'brightest witch of your age'- I scoff at that. Finite Incantatem. Come with me, Missy." Hermione glowered as the spells on her wore off, standing up and walking to the store owner, glaring at Draco and the mysterious man the whole way.
As soon as the bookstore owner had carted Granger away, Tom swept 'Leo' up into his arms and chuckled, planting a kiss on his forehead. "My clever little precious, you could have fooled me! You looked like a right Slytherin there, all clever and quick." 'Leo' blushed and looked down, feeling Draco pet his head. "Y-yeah, the hat wanted to sort me into Slytherin, actually." Draco's hand stilled as he stared at the little one in Tom's arms. "What?" 'Leo' hid his face in Tom's robes and didn't comment, causing Tom to chuckled once more. "Oh, that's rich. Wait until I tell Sev, I bet he won't believe me." 'Leo' grumbled under his breath as Draco started laughing, nearly loosing his footing as he grabbed his middle.
Two minutes later, Draco's gasping breaths were back under control and Tom was looking at him with an amused expression. Quickly pecking 'Leo's' cheek with a kiss, Draco chuckled at his red face. "You have to admit, it is kind of funny, petit." 'Leo' gave a small nod before squirming slightly in Tom's hold. "Can you put me down now, my king? The man may come back any second now, and he can't see strangers like this." Tom sighed before nodding, gently placing the male on his own two feet. "Come, let's find the rest of your books, Leo." 'Leo' nodded and grabbed his books from where they had fallen earlier, gently patting the concerned book as it sniffed his arms and chest. "How many do you have left?" Draco took a quick look at his list before responding. "We just need to find Advanced Potions, Advanced Defense, and Advanced Herbology." Tom nodded, silently summoning the books he dropped from across the store. He deftly caught them in his hands before catching up with his submissives, guarding their backs. The owner couldn't happen but overhear what they were saying, deciding to repay the boys for their little problem in his shop. Stepping out from around the corner, the man cut off the group, an eager-to-please smile on his face. "Advanced Hogwarts books, you say? I can help you with that- follow me."
