Taking in a deep breath I make a sharp turn to the right, dashing to the nails. The thing at first backed up before lunging, jaw unhinging wider. I reached out to the nails but fell short, feeling the creature's arms push into my back. I twisted around and held an arm out to block my face, seeing its jaws inches away.

It's jaws snapped around my arm, a burning smell hitting my nose instantly. My arm hissed and smoked, sending blinding pain into my body. I felt the urge to throw up when the creature bit all the way through, making my own hand land on my chest. I reached my other arm up to hit it, but it sunk into its neck. I let out a scream, hoping someone would hear me. White blinded my vision, before going black.

The thing was fast, I could only move so far.
