I woke up the next morning and went to work. I texted Colby a little bit on my way in. When I got there I had stocked up the shelves and turned on the lights. I made sure to wipe down the tables and seats and I started making the mixed bags. I already started with the number nine bags then work my way to one. It's just how I work. When I finished making 20 of each bags I set them in the display case. I wiped the outer glass of the case down as well. I did all of this before Tabitha could even come in. When she did she automatically started yelling at me. It was Tuesday which meant we weren't going to be to busy today. Tabitha was already taking her lunch break even though it was on 8:45. I sat down and grabbed my phone and texted Colby.

Me: hey Colby!
Colby: Hey what's up?
Me: oh nothing I'm just at work and Tabitha is being herself
Colby: aw man that sucks I'm sorry
Me: it's alright. Soon someone will find out that she's comes to work drunk sometimes and they'll repost her and get her fired
Colby: lol
Me: work is super slow today I'm so boredddd
Colby: well you could always leave early and come hang out with me
Me: you think Tabitha would let me go early? Lol you're funny
Colby: I could always come to the store and hang out with you there
Me: if you wanna waste your time here with this lameo sure go ahead
Colby: maybe.. I might notice the manager drunk.. (;
Me: Colby you wouldn't do that
Colby: you never know anyways imma start getting ready. I'll swing by for a few hours then I have to go. I'm meeting up with Sam. We can hang out later though?
Me: yeah sure. I don't have a life so I'll be free
Colby: oh yes you do! You have a life!
Me: not a very fun one
Colby: Mhm sureeee
Me: go get ready stop texting me lol
Colby: lol okay

I put my phone down and got up. I finally decided to put on my dark brown apron with our logo on. It didn't really fit me so I don't wear it when I don't have to. I slipped it on and tied it at the back. I had one person come in. They just ordered a chocolate bar. As I handed the customer his change I saw Colby coming in.

"Have a nice day sir!" I called as he left

"Hey how's it going?"he asked

"Omg So exhausting I have had soo many customers. My total count is one!" I said sounding like a teenager

"Well then," he laughed

"Are you gonna buy something or are you still on a diet?" I teased him

"Mmm I definitely didn't stop my diet so that's a no," he laughed causing me to laugh.

"Oh hold up I've got my second customer!" I said trying to sound peppy through my dead voice

"Hi welcome to Heather's candy store what can I get for you today?"

"Um, I'll take a number three and that'll be all," she said

"Okay, you're total will be 2.18¢," she handed me the money.

I turned around and handed her the baggie.

"Thank you and have a good day!" I called as she left,"

"Ugh I'm still so bored," I complained leaning on the counter

"Well I don't know what to do to help you," he said "what do you want me to do? Get a part time job here with you?"

"Yes," I replied

"But that's so much effort," he mimicked my teen girl voice from earlier

"But then we can both put in," I tried to mimicking his voice "to much effort,"

Causing us both to laugh.

"I'll think about it,"

"Wait really?!"

"Yeah why not," he laughed "I typically sleep through the whole day anyways,"

"Lucky," I whined

"Not when you live in a house full of five guys and people coming over ALL the time,"

"You what?"

"Yeah. I live in a big house with my friends. Sam was one of them. The blonde who was with me yesterday,"

"Oh my god that's so cool!" I said

"If you want I can take you there. You can meet everyone,"

"That'd be so awesome,"

"Okay, wanna go now?" He asked

"Colby, I'm working,"

"Oh right," he said

"Tabitha I'm feeling really sick can I leave?"

"Yeah sure Whatever it's not like you do anything anyways she stumbled out of the back room,"

"Okay I'll see you Tomorrow," I said hanging up my apron and grabbing my jean jacket to put over my grey tank top.

"Let's go to this giant house of yours," I laughed as we stepped outside,"

"We call it the trap house,"

"Gotcha,"

We got into his car then went to the traphouse

When we pulled up it was bigger than I had thought.

"You live here?!"

"I do yeah,"

He opened the front door to revel a tall boy wearing a long blonde wig chasing another guy that I think was Sam with a camera

"What is going on?" I laughed

"This? Oh it's all normal here, "

"Okay,"

We walked into the living room and saw people there.

"Guys this is Brielle," he introduced me

"Finally a girl I can hang out with," laughed a girl who stood up "I'm Devyn but call me Dev,"

"Over there that's Aaron, Jake and Brennon he doesn't live here but he's here a lot. Colby said

"Katrina is upstairs sleeping in Sam's room." Dev said "so you'll have her to hang out with too when you get fed up with the boys," she said as the two running cane in and stopped

"This is Corey and Sam," dev told me

"Hey, aren't you that girl from the candy store yesterday?" Sam asked tilting his head

"Yeah, I'm Brielle," I smiled

"Oh cool! Hi!" He said back

"Well Brielle welcome to the traphouse," dev said
