I woke up that morning. I was in my bedroom which meant they didn't come and kidnap me which I was thankful for. I got up and got dressed. I then quickly walked to work. I did my usual routine and Tabitha came in. She didn't seem drunk.

"Hey so you're the only one working today besides me so don't make me do everything," she said

"What why? Where is Amber and Jacob?"

"Both called in sick,"

I groaned. I finished premaking the bags and I set them all on display. I put my apron on and decided to put my hair up in a high ponytail.

I had a few customers come in. When I looked out the window I saw a pretty big pink van. Oh god. The entire traphouse came out and they all came inside.

"So I see Tara wasn't kidding about the pink van,"

"Of course I wasn't!" She laughed causing all of us to laugh

"What the hell is going on out here?" Tabitha came from the back room

"Where did you all come from?" She questioned but everyone ignored it.

Tabitha pushed me out of the way

"I can't believe you're not getting those orders already you're so lazy!" She yelled at me

I hated when she yelled at me. The coldness in her voice made it worse. I tried not to cry because I'm just a crybaby.

"Oh what are you gonna cry you little crybaby," she mocked me

"Leave her alone!" I heard Colby snap

Everyone looked at him

"I've been her for the past three days and I've only see you Harass her and yell at her and mock her. Why can't you be nice to your employees?! Would it kill you to apologize or be a little nicer?" I was in shock and so was she.

She was fuming and didn't know what to say to him. She just screamed and walked off.

"Colby you shouldn't have done that." I said looking into the backroom to make sure she had left

"I can't just sit here and watch her Harass you like that. It's not fair to you!"

"I know I know it's just easier to let her have what she wants," I looked at everyone

"So what do you all want?" I asked trying to laugh it off but no one laughed with me

"She always treats you like that?" Sam asked

I nodded

"Has anyone ever told her off?" Devyn asked next

I shook my head no. "Not before Colby did,"

"Well to be honest I'm glad he did," Katrina stepped in

"I agree," Brennen said from the back

"Yeah that's not right," Tara told me

"Why haven't you quit?" Corey asked

"Because I love this job and I've always thought that someday she'd be fired and I'll have able to take over. I've worked her since I was fourteen. That's almost five years. Besides. My house is like right down the street,"

"Well no one should treat you like that," Jake said

"Mhm," Colby nodded

"How about we take you home early?" Colby said after a long silence

"Colby I can't, if Tabitha finds me gone she'll get even more mad,"

"Pleasee," Tara begged

"Okay fine I'll go," I said taking my apron off and writing a note to Tabitha saying that I threw up so I had to leave and that I wouldn't be able to come in tomorrow

We went outside and into the giant pink van that surprisingly fit us all. I was sitting in the back seat with Brennen and Colby. I had the right window seat and Colby was in the middle. Jake and Tara were up front and in the middle two rows were Sam, Katrina, Corey, and Devyn. Aaron was also in the middle sitting beside Corey.

I wasn't going to lie it was pretty crammed but it all worked out.

We got to the traphouse and we all got out. We went inside and sat down.

"So what should we do?" Aaron asked

"Mm I dunno but if you brought me here just to sit and do nothing in this hot house with no ac I'm going back to work." I told them all

"We could go to the beach," Katrina offered

"Yes see I like that idea much better than sitting here," I said standing up "Hey Devyn can I borrow another suit?"

"Yeah girl!"

"Sweet thanks!" I called running up the stairs to her closet and grabbing a suit. It was a one piece that had a halter like strap and it was checkered black and white. I went into the bathroom and quickly slipped it on. I looked at myself in the mirror. I liked it. I threw my dark hair up in a ponytail again and I sent a picture to Devyn to ask it it looked alright.

Me: hey does this look good?

Devyn: omg I haven't worn that suit in ages. It looks great on you and if you want you can keep it
Me: wait really?
Devyn: yeah it just takes up space in my closet anyways so I'd like to see it get worn
Me: thank youu!
Devyn: you're welcome

I put my clothes back on over my suit and I wrapped my hair into a tight bun so it wouldn't become all gross from the ocean. I then walked downstairs almost tripping on the last step.

"Come on guys get changed let's go!" I said clapping "by time we get there it'll be dark!"

They all laughed and got up to go change. About five minutes later they all came down so we all piled into the van and left for the beach.
