Jake parked our van and we all piled out. We walked up to the beach and Corey along with Jake, Brennen, and Sam and Colby bolted for the water. Aaron was late to it but he ran with them. That left Me, Devyn, Tara, and Katrina. We all laid down a bunch of towels for everyone and we just laid in the giant towel square. We all laid town and tanned while watching the boy be idiots and get knocked out by waves. After about twenty minutes of them being stupid Colby, Sam, Corey, and Jake all came back to us.

"Guys you're being boring!" Jake whined

"We're also dry," Tara mocked

"Come join us!" Sam begged

"Nooo," Katrina whined at him "we like it better up here,"

"Pwease," Colby stick his bottom lip out

"Maybe," I said sitting up.

"See! Colby's girlfriend will join us so why can't you!" Corey called out

"Um well he's.." I said

"She's not my girlfriend," Colby finished my sentence

"Well y'all certainly act like it!" Corey yelled

That caused us all to laugh.

"Fine let's go," Devyn huffed

They all cheered by screaming 'yay' really loudly

I got up and went to the waters edge. I stepped in and the the cold water consume my foot. The icy water sent chills up my spine. I put my other door in and the same thing repeated.

I let my body take over and I ran into the water to where everyone else was.

"Hey!" Brennen exclaimed

"Hey losers!" I called back looking behind me at the group coming.

The girls slowly dragged on getting in. The boys had already came up to us.

We all just hung around at the beach until the sun started to set.

"Hey guys I think I might go home,"

They all agreed and we dried off and got I to the giant pink van.

We stopped at the traphouse so I could get my stuff. They then drove me back home... in the pink van.

"Bye guys!" I called getting out of the car and shutting the door

"Byeee!" They all called out in sync as the door slowly closed. I waved as they pulled away and I went inside.

I set my black bag down and looked at my mom. Passed out on the couch again. She had a flask in her hand and had many bottles on the coffee table.

I sighed and went upstairs so I could shower and get all of the salt water off of me before it could irritate my skin.

I got out and went back to my phone. I noticed the group chat had been blown up.

Colbs: who wants to kidnap Bri tonight?
Tara: that's what the pink van is for
Corey: I'm in
Jake: I mean she did leave early without staying at the house so yeah I'm in
Sam: yes let's do this
Brennen: we can keep her hostage
Tara: I like where he's going lol
Sam: agreed
Corey: she wont even suspect it
Dev: she will when you're blowing up the group chat with this
Corey: shoot you're right
Colbs: we are NOT coming for you
Sam: wink wink
Tara: I'll get the van ready
Dev: it seems like she's in the shower because she hasn't responded
Jake: okay in the van now
Brennen: let's ride bitches!
Sam: Kat and I will stay here and get everything sealed
Jake: let's go!
Tara: also wear black!
Colbs: we already do!

I looked at what time that last message was sent. Ten minutes ago. Crud. They're going to be here any second. I left the front door unlocked. I quickly ran downstairs to hear the door jiggling. I ran back upstairs and looked out the window. A large pink van was there. Uh oh. They're gonna see my mom passed out drunk. I turned around to a tap on my window. I screamed and saw Devyn slide my window open

"Hey girl sorry I had to be the distraction

"What?" I was confused I was then picked up from behind. I kicked my legs to try and get free out of the grip. That was until I knew who it was. The scent of his cologne engulfed me.

"Colby put me down!"

"Sorry I can't. We're kidnapping you,"

I groaned out loud and once we got down the stairs I started to attempt to get out of his grip

"What is going on here?!" My drunken mother yelled

Colby stopped walking and I stopped struggling

"He's kidnapping me mama," I said

"HA serves you right," she slurred dropping her head and picking it up again "go cause him pain instead of me,"

She coughed

"Oh and before you leave grab me another bottle of wine," she said

"Momma he's kidnapping me. Don't you care?" Hot tears poked at my eyes

"Did I ever care about you?"

I didn't reply but I let a tear fall

"DID I?!"

"Yes," I let the salty waterfall run down my face

"WRONG! I SHOULD HAVE ABORTED YOU WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE,"

She sniffled

"Go get me my wine bitch,"

I broke from Colby's arms and walked to the kitchen. he didn't dare move. I grabbed her bottle off the rack

"So you really don't care if you never see me again?" I said handing her white wine

"Beats me. I don't have to deal with you anymore." She looked at the bottle

"You think I drink red wine outside of dinner?"

I shook my head

"Go grab me the WHITE wine. Actually, make it vodka, I need to get worse because you ruined my night," she forcefully handed me the bottle and the glass shattered and spilt the red mess all over me.

"Great now I'm down a bottle!"

The red stain got all over my white tank top

My teardrops remained falling and I walked to the kitchen and grabbed her the requested beverage

"Actually. I might miss you. Who's to clean the house and pay bills for me? Ha! I'd have to get a job!" She snickered and ran her hand through her pixie cut curly hair that was dirty blonde "now clean up this mess and I'll let you leave," she popped off the cap and took a swig

"Colby just go to the car and I'll throw myself into the van," I said pointing at the door

He nodded and left.

I grabbed a wet washcloth and vigorously scrubbed at the stain with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and Dawn dish soap. I've learnt this over years of cleaning her messes. I removed the stain and she slapped my cheek

"Leave,"

I nodded and left.

I walked up to the car door and opened it. The van was surprisingly empty except for Devyn, Tara, Jake, and Colby.

I sat down next to Colby and buckled my seatbelt

"You May continue kidnapping me," I said weakly.

No one said a word. Because of the silence Tara turned the radio on.

"Bri," Colby said almost in a whisper

"It's Fine Colby," I wiped my tears and looked out the window.

He grabbed my face and turned it back towards him

"Did she.. did she mean what she said?"

I nodded

"Yeah, I just wasn't expecting her to not care like that," I said my voice breaking

Colby pulled me into a hug. He held me there.

"You still have red wine all over you," he whispered softly into my ear

"Yeah," I said "I know,"

I looked down my wrists and saw there was cut from the glass.

"Umm guys?" I said

"What's up?"

"How far away from the house are we?!"

"Like we just pulled onto our street why?"

"No reason,"

We pulled j to the driveway and I rushed inside

I must've thought that my blood was just red wine. I reached Colby's bathroom and opened the cabinet. Nope. I ran into the downstairs bathroom and I found a bottle. Colby came in and saw me

"What's wrong?" He asked

"Just the glass shatter cut me," I gestured to my wrists

He grabbed the hydrogen peroxide (that I didn't think I'd be using twice today) and a cotton ball. He ran it over the cuts which caused me to wince at the stinging. My cuts bubbled and foamed because of the reaction. Colby then wiped my wrists and made sure there was no glass left. He then wrapped bandaids on them.

We walked out of the 24 pp room and noticed the gang all staring at me

"What happened?"

"A glass shattered while I was being kidnapped. No biggie," I partially lie

The nodded and then we all watched a movie.
