Company

It started like a normal day at the Phantomhive estate. The sky seemed clear and free of all signs of storms the birds sang happily in the trees without a care.. But still the servants couldn't figure why there seemed to be an eerie aura surrounding the three of them. At the breakfast table they huddled together but still the feeling did not seem to disappear. Resulting in a soul shattering silence.

"I 'ear there is supposed to be a mighty gale blowing our way." Bardroy commented breaking the silence between them. Both of the other servants heads shot up staring at the cook smiling, trying to get there minds to focus on something other than the aura.

"But look at the sky! There doesn't seem to be a cloud insight!" Meyrin added in her screechy tone. "But it seems it would only affect Finny's job if anything oh yes it will! Remember to come inside once there is even a hint of thunder!" She pointed in the gardeners direction but he seemed lost in thought. Over the years the three of them had become friends but it seemed that sometimes Meyrin would talk to Finny as if he were a child, which in my opinion would seem strange if he didn't act like one to begin with. Always forgetting even the smallest of tasks.

"Answer her brat! Ya shouldn't keep a lady waiting!" Bard growled feeling extra ornery today. In the household he thought it was enough to handle one dark aura (a.k.a Sebastian ) but now there seemed to be a dark cloud surrounding them too.

Finny stared into Bard's blue eyes as if he had something to say to defend himself but as always he was at a loss of words. He mouthed "I'm Sorry" as if he couldn't get the words out. Finny had been acting strange since yesterday but on one ever cared to ask since it didn't seem to bother him too much. Without saying anything he stood up and stormed past Sebastian who was at the front door. Sebastian did not stop him from leaving since he knew he had nowhere to go so he would probably become bored and play in the gardens like normal. Finny normally couldn't keep a grudge for over 5 minutes.

"A little over dramatic much?" The cook said in a gruff voice lighting a cigarette. Bardroy was not very good at sensing others emotions nor did he fully grasp the situation that was now unfolding.

"You shouldn't be so harsh on the boy," the maid began, "he has feelings just like you and I yes he does. This dark sensation seems to be affecting him the most don't ya think?" Meyrin knew something was up normally Finny would end up just bawling his eyes out right on the spot. He was never good at holding things like that in. and why would he want to? They had been friends for over 2 years now. He does run away but never so much in anger until he finally gets to the destination and thinks the situation through.

Bardroy grunted and blew the horrid smelling smoke out of his mouth. It was a bad habit but it calmed him and he was trying to do his best to not to chase after the other boy. At that moment the pitch black butler at this time snatched the mans cigarette snapping it in half and politely set it down in the ash tray.

" 'ay! what did ya do that for?" The cook said surprised. normally Sebastian didn't bother them so early in the morning since the young master also wasn't awake. Unless it was an emergency of course. Something that might disturb the young lord or cause him harm in any way.

"It would seem we have company." Sebastian sighed his accent sounding pure and angelic but his devilish smile said otherwise. Taking one look at him then at the other servants you could hardly believe they worked at the same manor. Not saying the other servants were by any means slobs or messy, which personality wise they were, but Sebastian looked as if he could be a model if he set his mind to it.

"Company? I don't recall ya tellin us that the master was having someone over for tea today." Bardroy scratched his blonde head sounding confused. Sebastian could tell he was tired so that is why when he smacked him on the back of the head, it hurt. He made sure not to make him bleed or it might stain the carpet.

"Not that kind of company." As the butler said this both servants got out of their seats and resumed the proper position in which to deal with the problem. Both on the roof looking downward guns ready. Waiting... for the first bullet that would give the enemies away. They could not allow anyone inside the manor and if they failed they would have to face the wrath of Sebastian which, believe me, is not pleasant

Then a question popped into Bard's head 'where is finny?' his eyes widened but he knew the matter could not be dealt with now. He just hoped his friend had made it to safety with no one on his tail. As he loaded his gun he realized he had never been so scared in his life. His heart beat so fast it seemed it might pop out of his chest. Why did he feel this way? He's lost so many people before. Why should it matter if Finny's life is lost?
