Rob POV

 "What got you smiling so heard this early in the morning?" Alexis said as I laughed at her. Me and Troy have been snapchatting each since we woke up. No it wasn't anything freaky or anything (just had to make that clear). He offered to bring me food too but I politely declined. Don't want him knowing where I work, it's way too soon for that. "Nobody." I said as I laughed. "Uh huh looks like that speed date went well." she said as I straight faced her. "That's the last time we go into that. I don't knock people that do that but it's definitely not for me." I said as she nodded her head. 

  That and the fact that it's almost like you have to program yourself before going into those events. I just wish it could flow like an actual meaningful conversation. Maybe it was just that one. We can chalk that up as a bad experience that won;t be mentioned again, Yup, that's it. "Yo yo! Come back to earth Romeo. I know that man doesn't have you so far in the clouds that quick." she laughed. "You play too much. No he doesn't but I know you ain't talking." I said as I looked at her with 'go ahead and lie' face. She just blushed and started typing on the  computer.  "Yeah look who quiet now." I laughed. For the most part today was going by so smoothly. 

  Our normal customers were coming and getting almost every medication we could possibly fill for them at the moment. We do this to decrease the amount of trips they have to make each month. They almost always complain about that so we decided to implement this way. It's so beautiful out. "Where the fuck is my medication?!" There goes the calm day. "Let's get his medication ready so he can go." the pharmacist said. We quickly prepared the meds because ole boy here was definitely in need of them. Nobody wanted to go near him because he was spitting all over the place. I'm surprised the computer didn't start acting up. I grabbed the bag from her and put on a blank expression before telling him to come down to my register. 

  To everyone's surprise, he was much calmer when he saw me. After checking him out, I walked to the back to start another task. "Where's the white ones?" he yelled to the pharmacist. She calmly told him that he would need a new prescription and he flipped. He was cursing up a storm and my ass was over here tuning him out checking out my other patients. He was still cursing but left the store. Then he came back, then he left and then..yeah you get the point. They wasted no time sanitizing the area he was at. "Friendliness is next to cleanliness." one of my co workers said. I was still on cloud 9. The weather was too beautiful for me to be pissed. About 30 minutes later, the cops came. "Is everything alright?" The officer said as he walked in.

  My G, we would've all been dead after he robbed us blind and set the place on fire as he made his way out. I mean damn pharmacy lives matter, my life matters. I have niggas to pull, money to invest and skin to clear up. Sheesh. After my pharmacist talked to them, everything went back to being semi normal. "Rob what time you off? Alexis asked me. "Now." I said as I rung the last customer out and headed to the back to back.  "What a day." I said as I grabbed my things before leaving the store. I walked outside into the nice ass breeze that was blowing. I put in my head phones and played Quicksand by SZA. It seemed like a fitting song for today. 

  Something was telling me to turn around as I walking to the bus (didn't feel like driving today) and when I did I saw him:            

  I took my headphones out as he began to speak. "I've been trying to get your attention for a minute." he said as he laughed. God knew what he was doing when he made him because damn he fine. "Oh wassup Derrick. Didn't see you there." I nervously laughed. "I bet. Had the white people looking at me like I was on some shit." he said as I laughed even harder. "What are you doing down here? Shouldn't you be deliver a package or something?" I said as he just looked at me. "You got a real smart ass mouth but nah I got to school too. You work near here?" he asked as I debated on lying. Don't know why but yeah I definitely was about to.

  "Yeah I actually work a few blocks down." I said pointing behind me. "Well what you about to do now?" he asked as I looked at him. "I was gonna take my ass home but wassup?" I asked him. "Want to go grab lunch or something?" he asked as I nodded my head. Partially because my stomach rumbled right after he mentioned that. We walked to one of my favorites spots, cafe lift. "I love the food here." I said as I saw the sign. "I haven't been here in a minute so now looks like a nice time." he said as he smiled. After we was seated, I spent most of the time texting Troy. "Damn you just gonna be on your phone the whole time?" he said as he cleared his throat. "Whoops my bad. I didn't know you was talking to me." I laughed. 

  "Now I am. Whatever you was doing looked real serious so I decided to let it ride." he said all smooth. He got a brother or something? "So what ya want to talk about?" I said as I put my phone down and gave him my undivided attention. "Tell me a little about you since all you think of me is that I'm just a delivery guy." he said as I laughed. He was mostly right to be honest. "Welp, I work at the pharmacy, legal of course, and my favorite color is blue." I said as he laughed. "What?" I asked as I looked at him. "That was short as hell. I guess I'll start. I deliver for Fed Ex, I'm currently in school for my business degree. I'm the youngest of three and my favorite color is red." he finished with a smile. Someone's ambitious I see. Right as I was about to say something, the waiter came to ask for our drinks and orders. 

  We placed our orders as the conversation continued. "You was about to say something?" he said as he looked at me. "Look at you over there with dreams and ambitions and whatnot. O feel like a proud parent." I laughed. "On a serious not, what do you look for in a person?" I asked him. They say you will learn a lot from a person with this question. "Good one, well I want some one who isn't afraid to be themselves, someone who doesn't run when it gets tough you know? My girl exhibits that." he said as I smiled she really is lucky to have him. "How about you?" he said as I heard a record scratch. Nobody told him to do that. "Well, I want someone who knows how to make a dollar out of 15 cent. Some one who can motivate me when I should give up. A protector of sorts but not too protective you know? Someone who likes to tell jokes and just live life with. Maybe even have a future with. Right now though, I just want to live in the moment." I said wih a smile.

  "Wow." was all he said. Maybe I said too much. I started to pick my phone up when he said something. "That's the most I heard you say. He laughed as I glared at him. "That's not funny." I said as he laughed. "Nah but for real it sounds like you got your heart and mind in sync. You clearly know what you want and that's good. Quick question though, are you willing to compromise?" he asked as I thought about it for a second. "Yea sure. Life is about making compromises anyway however,  the moment I feel like it's not working, I'm out. There's a difference between settling and compromising." I said as he nodded his head. This conversation was a good one. We sat and talked some more before the waitress returned with our food.     

  We ate and laughed some more. "Sooooo What's your girlfriend's name? I asked as I took a sip of my fanta. "Melody, maybe I should introduce y'all one day." he smiled. "Holla at me in about six months. Then we can discuss introductions." I said as he nodded his head. "So you must be seeing some one since you was busy on your phone earlier. Mind if I ask his name?" he said as I choked. I mean I never flat out said it was a guy or anything. Whatever. "His name is Troy. He's a really nice guy." I said trying to recover. "That's awesome, I hope you two get married so I can be the ring bearer." he said as I bust out laughing. Play too damn much. "I'll keep you posted" I laughed as we continued our meal. Once we were done, he offer to pay for everything while I just nodded my head and picked up my phone. Wasn't gonna argue with that. 

  "Can I get your number or something? Or do I gotta look forward to the random run ins?" he asked as we were leaving the restaurant. I laughed as I handed him my phone so he could put his number in. I was internally debating the whole social media thing before I came to this conclusion. I would've looked mad suspicious if I did that because then he would've been in my DM's and that would've caused unnecessary drama so yeah. "See you around." he said as we went our separate ways. I decided to go see Troy since it was still early and the weather was just so nice out. I meant to say I was going to go get changed before seeing Troy. There, that's better.  

  "Why you ain't write me back?" he said looking at me as I walked up to him

  He looking real good today. "I'm sorry, I was busy but I made it up to you cuz I'm right here now that's something to happy about right?" I smiled as I hugged him. He didn't do anything at first which caused me to let him go until I felt this real tight ass grip. "You're forgiven." he said as he kissed my neck. Not gonna lie, I froze up when he did that. It was a mixture of shock and a faint hint of lust there. "You play too much." I said when I finally came down. "Only for you. Only for you." how was your day?" he asked as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and started to walk. 

  "It was good minus the little crazy stuff but still good." I smiled as we walked. We stopped by a nearby park and sat down.  "What the block watch captain actually left the block? Someone call the police better yet record this monumental moment." I said being all dramatic. "Stop playing with me yo. Acting like I'm not supposed to leave or something. I got people making sure everything good plus I want to spend more time with you. It's a win-win situation." he smiled. "Yeah, yeah, yeah whatever." I said as I took a picture of him before uploading it to snap with the caption 'he's giving me a headache already'. He laughed when he saw the snap. "I'm not even doing nothing to you. You keep trynna play me." he said as I laughed. 

  The next snap he posted was a bit funny. He gonna post single and still looking. "Aww I hope you find that one." I smiled as posted something. "Wasting your time huh?" he asked with an eyebrow raised. "Yep and times up." I said as I walked away. He salty as shit, so was I low key when I saw that. "C'mere yo. Stop." he said as I kept walking. Nope he got that. I kept going until I felt a strong ass force pull me back. "Mo-" I said as I felt lips on top of mine. Universe you showing off right now! "Stop walking away from me. You not wasting your time and neither am I." he said smiling at me. I kissed him again as he wrapped his other arm around my waist. "Damn shawty." he said as I laughed. "I left the block watch speechless? I got it like that." I said as I kept walking. 

  "Wait hold up." he said running behind me. I laughed as I felt his hands. "Let's sit over here." he said as he walked near a grassy area. We sat and talked about our hopes and dreams as we watched the waves flow. "You're starting to grow on me." he said as he kissed my neck. I took a snap as I laughed at him.  He made a funny face as he photobombed me. "Lil baby." he said as I smiled. "I like that smile. I like it a lot." he smiled. After a minute, we finally decided head back home. "I had a good time with you, minus that little set back but it was worth it." he laughed. "Shut up ugly." I said. "Damn I'm ugly now? Crazy." he said shaking his head. "Stop." I said as he laughed. "For real though. I really had a good time. You gonna let me walk you home?" he asked. 

  "Nope I got it. You got a block to watch." I said as I hugged him. "Can I still get something to remember you by?" he said. Is that a blush? I gave him a little peck. I stopped playing and gave him a longer kiss. "Damn!" he said as I smiled and walked away from him. When I got home, I took a shower and got ready for work tomorrow.  I watched two of his snaps which made me smile. One said 'Think I'm crushing on him.' The next one said 'Still thinking about him'. I smiled as I watched him. I put up a snap that said "Glad you enjoyed yourself" before heading to bed. Today was a good day :)
