I woke up the next morning to the sound of my alarm clock. "5:30 am" it said. I sat up with a groan, 'why oh why do I swim?' I asked myself for the billionth time.

There is no such thing as an "easy" practice for swim; you're either sprinting or doing distance, and you die in both.

I got up and put on my favorite suit and some sweats and headed for the front porch to wait for Sophie only to be knocked down but the door opened by my older brother, Danny and sister, Megan, coming in from their morning run. I swim at 6:00
am everyday and I still think they are crazy for running at this time.

"Oh, sorry Lu, I didn't see you there" Danny said with a smile on his face.

I brushed him off not really having the energy to have a conversation right now.

Sophie's car pulled up and drove to practice in silence, again neither of us having the energy to talk or even breath at the moment.

"Well good morning sunshines!" Coach Pinto said in an all to happy and awake voice.

She was answered by a medley of hellos that came out as groans. Saturday's were practices with an hour of dry land and 2 hours of swimming. After she told us our 6 mike route around town, we set off for another wonderful Saturday morning practice! Sarcasm intended.
