"When in the world did you get a jetpack?!" was all Ozone could shout as he stared at Mason. Fury glistened his green eyes with a tiny hint of pain from the gunshot to the leg he had just received not even a minute ago. Twirling his pistol in his paw skillfully, Mason answered, "It's actually quite a long story, you see-" He didn't finish his story though as Tiberius got close enough to whack the ginger cat with a crowbar across the face.

"Who knew crowbars could come in handy?" Ozone exclaimed.

"Who knew they would be conveniently placed on the rooftops of buildings?" Tiberius murmured. Shaking himself, the old hawk grumbled, "Now's not the time to be asking questions!" Grabbing Ozone in his talons, he spread his wings and painfully took to the sky. Clinging to the hawk's feet, Ozone glanced back to discover that Mason was giving chase. Blood ran down from a cut on his forehead where the crowbar had made contact. An ugly scowl could be seen on his face as he aimed at the pair.

"Could you perhaps, I don't know, fly faster?!" Ozone begged just as Mason fired. Dodging the bullet, Tiberius hissed, "In case you didn't notice, that's what I'm trying to do!"

"Alright, no need to yell," Ozone replied, moving his tail out of the way as another bullet whizzed by.

"You're not gonna get away that easy Ozone!" Mason yowled as he fired and missed again.

"First off, watch me! Second off, learn to aim!" Ozone retorted.

"Good thing I'm a fast learner!" was Mason's reply to that as he pointed the pistol at Ozone's head. The hairless cat gulped in fear as the ginger cat stared at him before glancing above his enemy's head. Grinning wickedly, he moved his pistol up slightly. Confused, Ozone was wondering what the ginger cat was doing. Then it hit him. Quickly, he opened his mouth to say something.

However, it was too late as Mason fired his gun. A second later, Ozone and Tiberius were plummeting from the sky once more...
