Annie and I went shopping for everything new, we decided to leave the hotel because heaven knows what mom had done. She probably tapped everywhere in the suite.

I had to buy a house here finally, it's a good thing I kept pushing that forward. We bought completely new clothes, new phones and we changed our cars, we weren't taking chances.

After everything, I decided to speak with Annie.

"Are you okay?" I asked her.

"First thing I can freely say, your mom threatened to kill me! She said she would kill me if you ever did anything stupid! I'm really scared Chris" she told me quickly.

For the first time in weeks I finally understood her fears. That woman threatened to kill her and Annie believed she was capable of anything. She might be crazy and all but she wouldn't go as far as killing.

"She wouldn't do that". I assured her.

"I'm scared" Annie told me. I pulled her in a hug consoling her. It must have been difficult hiding so much fear.

"I would be on my best behavior, I promise but there is something you must do for me". I told her.

"Anything".

"I have a huge plan to break us from her, once we can do that successfully, no one has to be scared anymore".

It took hours of explaining, hours of analyzing and tons of convincing to finally get her on board.

"I'm in!" She said.

"Great, first step is Khloe! Make sure you see her tonight". I told her.

A DAY BEFORE ANNIE'S VISIT

Kelvin and Hilda spent the entire day binge watching series while I went to work. I'm starting to regret asking both of them to stay home.

Hilda had to take a break to get over Tommy while I had Kelvin wait a while before getting a job so that he can be there for Hilda. I can't be with her all time, Kelvin can replace me.

"Really? You two!" I yelled at them as I walked in.

They both jumped from where they sat, startled by my yelling.

"What was that Khloe? Were you planning on giving me a heart attack?" Kelvin asked me with a frown.

"No, you two would! I left you here and met you here, look around you" I told them.

Everywhere was untidy, wrappers of chocolates, bowls of ice cream, pizza boxes and all sort of trash. I wonder how only both of them managed to finish all of these on their own.

"We would clean it up" Hilda said and they both made puppy faces to buy my love.

Not working!

"I made pasta". Kelvin told me.

At the mention of food, especially Kelvin's pasta, I jumped like a baby and made a run to the kitchen to be sure he wasn't fooling me. Once I confirmed there was truly pasta, I hurried to my room.

It took me only a few minutes to a bath and change into comfortable clothes. My mind was on the pasta all along because I didn't trust those two with food. Once I was done I hurried back out only to hear their conversation.

"That was supposed to be our dinner" Hilda complained to Kelvin who laughed at her for some reason.

"I knew that would buy her so I kept some for you" he told her. I couldn't see Hilda's face but I could tell she was smiling.

"Come here" Kelvin said pulling her in his arms but she was quick to push away from him.

"What if Khloe sees us?" She asked him.

I was busy peeping from the stairs as I watched Kelvin look around.

"See, she isn't here yet, you know she spends years in the bathroom" he told her assuringly but she wasn't buying it.

I couldn't help but wonder how this happened in the space of one week. Never in my wildest dreams did I see this coming. I began wondering what these two fools does while I'm away.

"I don't want her getting stuffs made up in her head. It's been just a week since Tommy happened". She told him.

"Love happens any time Hilda, Khloe wouldn't judge you" he assured her.

"I know, she would kill me". She told him.

I coughed as I walked down the stairs catching their attention. They quickly separated from their cuddled up position.

"I hope you didn't eat my food". I asked them.

"No" Kelvin said
"Why would we?" Hilda said

They both said at the same time. Two fools! I caught you two red handed, secretly dating in my own house. Let's see how long you can keep up.

I watched them sitting awkwardly staring at the movie they weren't exactly watching. So this was what happened all day. Where did I get these idiots from?

It's a good thing Hilda was getting over Tommy but with Kelvin? What if she was just using him as a rebound? I really don't want her hurting my little brother that way and I really don't want them putting me in a situation where I have to choose.

If only I could confront them but that would mean me telling them I eavesdropped on their conversation. Kelvin would kill me for doing that, he really loves his privacy.

"What did you two do all day?" I asked them trying to toy with them a little.

"Watched movie, obviously" Kelvin replied, finally leaving the couch to sit beside me on the dining table.

"That's all?"

"I cooked and Hilda only ate" Kelvin replied, obviously to tease Hilda.

"I helped" she yelled from where she sat.

"Yeah, she helped order pizza and the chicken" Kelvin said.

A pissed off Hilda got up, making her way for the stairs she said "It's fine if you feel I'm useless". At that she climbed up the stairs while Kelvin was torn between going after her which might seem suspicious or staying and play it cool at the expense of Hilda remaining pissed at him.

He stayed back but brought out his phone only for us to hear a ding from the living room. Hilda left her phone behind.

"You texting her?" I teased.

"Coincidence". He replied and left for 'his room'.

It's going to be fun with these two for the time being and I will sure enjoy it to the fullest. My mind went back to Fiona's request for a break. I reminded myself to tell her to go through the right channel if she wanted a break and not by sending me a text.

Was anyone expecting Annie to tell Chris about his mother's threat.

And how do you think Lanna would take it when she finds out they had ruined all her plans on watching them.

Who saw Kelvin and Hilda coming? Maybe not this soon right? I don't either but some ideas that pop into my head shocks me myself.

Would they last? Was he just a rebound as Khloe thought?
