Maybe I was still expecting him to reach out, after Annie came, I thought something might have changed. After she told me they were engaged, I should have known that was the point where I had to let go but my heart was being stubborn.

Laying in my bed at exactly 10:16pm I picked up my phone and called the last person I thought I would.

William!

"It was high time you called". He said.

The call only rang once before I picked it up like he had been expecting it. I was surprised he knew it was me since I was the only one who had his contact, I never gave home mine.

Who are you kidding, someone as persistent as that would have found a way to source out your contact.

True! He seemed like a powerful man.

"You don't even know who is speaking". I told him anyways, it wouldn't hurt no one if I was sure how he knew.

"I have my ways love, I was going to call you if you didn't" he told me in reply.

I smiled!

"Maybe I should have waited a little longer". I told him and heard him laugh from the other side of the phone.

"It's a good thing you did, now I know you've been thinking about me". He replied.

How confident! Cocky much.

The truth was, I actually had been thinking about him. I was wondering if I could give him some of my time since Chris was completely out of it. Man was engaged.

It pisses me off the more I think about it, he was leading me on knowing he was engaged. It must have been so much fun playing me all along.

"I wouldn't say thinking about". I said

"But I crossed your mind, that's a good thing love". He replied.

Love!

"Whatever helps you sleep at night".

"Thoughts of you love".

"I had better go to bed, got work tomorrow". I told him and ended the call, not after he told me to be careful not to dream about his handsome face.

I don't know why that got me smiling to bed and might I add that I did dream about him.

I sat down at the restaurant, our restaurant having lunch when he came in with his men behind him. He looked so hot like a superstar from a movie.

My heart was beating fast, and when I thought it couldn't get any worse, he held my hand and took me along with him. His men went to settle my bills as I followed behind, my hand still in his.

I admired how handsome he looked even from behind and was enchanted by his sweetness. He helped me into his car and drove off.

We didn't say a word! I didn't ask about the destination but I held on so tight and let him lead us wherever it is we were headed. I didn't worry about a thing.

It all came to an end when Kelvin came yelling my name. You can't imagine the frustration and annoyance I woke up with. It was about getting interesting, I was about finding out where we were headed but this crazy brother of mine.....

"Khloe! Chris is waiting outside for you". He yelled!

Chris? Outside?

I jumped out of my bed at the mention of his name like it wasn't just last night I was thinking of burying him alive for toying with me.

"What is he doing here?" I asked Kelvin, anger evident in my voice.

That's right, I had jumped out of bed in annoyance!

"I don't know but he has a bouquet with him and his ever charming face" he told me.

That was bad, I can't face him that way for fear I might forgive him.

No Khloe, he is engaged! He lied to you and is still going to tell more lies.

Bracing myself up, I got out of my bed, dressed my hair in front of the mirror and made my way downstairs in my pair of blue frozen pajamas.

As I descended on the stairs, I saw him looking as cute as ever with a bouquet in his hand. When my eyes met his, he gave me a warm yet apologetic smile but I wasn't buying that.

Maybe I was but not really I guess. My heart and mind were having a really great battle as I walked towards him. My heart was longing for him but my mind kept reminding me that he played me.

"Khloe". He said once I got to where he stood.

I smiled at him ever so brightly but it wasn't long till my smile turned into a frown. It was as though my brain had a reset and before I knew it, my palm met with his face as I gave him a really hard slap across his face.

"I deserve more, I know but...."

"Shhhh.... don't bother! I met your fiancée and sincerely, I have nothing to say to you! You fooled me Chris, you did. Annie, maybe she is a good woman, maybe she isn't I really don't care but for me, I am a good woman and you do not deserve me". I said straight to his face, not willing to hear a thing.

"She came because I asked her to, I know you two met but I never knew she was going to talk about being engaged". He replied.

"Engaged?" Kelvin and Hilda asked the same time. They were shocked to say the least. He had not told them anything about this hoping I'd deal with it on my own.

"So you weren't planning on telling me right?" I asked him.

"Oh Khloe, the engagement was fake" he defended himself.

I couldn't help the mocking laughter I let out.

"You son of a...." Kelvin started approaching to hit Chris but Hilda was quick to stop him.

There was no need for violence or attacking each other, he deserved and more but not now, not this morning! He wasn't even worth it.

"Fake? Not when she is in love with you". I told him

"No, she isn't neither am I". He replied so confidently.

"Keep telling that to yourself, now get out". I said yelling at him.

He was reluctant to leave but Kelvin successfully threw him out of the house on anger! I knew he had a really bad temper but not this much.

I don't know why men are always blind to see when a woman loves them. Annie loves him, it was so obvious, if for some reasons she decided to not show that to him that was her problem but I wouldn't start a battle I can't win.

First! Let's get this chapter to at least 10 reads for an update. You all are relenting! Why? Are you getting bored?

We still have a long way to go so please let's not get bored yet.
