Featherpaw followed Raincloud to the training clearing. When they arrived, Mintpaw and Voleclaw, her mentor, practicing some battle moves. "Ok Mintpaw, Featherpaw, you two are going to have a mock battle," Raincloud meowed. "GO," Voleclaw yowled. Mintpaw imeatealy jumped into the water. Featherpaw pin-pointed where she went. She followed the minty green-gray she cat. Finally, Mintpaw jumped out at her, but Featherpaw rolled out of the way. "Hook the tendon under her legs," a voice whispered. She did what it said. Mintpaw was taken by surprise, and was pinned by her foe. "Get up," Voleclaw meowed. Both she cats got up and shook the dust out of their pelts. "Wow, where did you learn that," Raincloud asked. "I... I don't know," Featherpaw meowed. She suddenly fainted and the world of color faded away into black.
