-Chapter 23-
/Time Setting; Past- 3 years ago. March the 3rd, Year 2013/
"Hey Cat, you never told me why mum and dad really splitted up for.", Luke would say to me, his hazel eyes fixated on me. At the age of 10, I was 14 at the time. The oldest, by 4 years.
"I told you.", I would spit out bitterly, not liking this topic, I always wanted to avoid it. I always tried to avoid it. I swung my legs back, allowing the swing to go faster. We were at the nearby playground by our house. Mum was at work, and dad...well probably sleeping with another hooker that he found.
Luke went to speak up again, but I made sure to cut him off, "How about we go get some ice creams?. Mum gave us some money to do so. For being good.", I claimed, smiling brightly at Luke who simply sat on the other swing beside me, and stared at me with sad eyes whilst I jumped off the swing and landed on my feet swiftly. The playground sand kicking up slightly.
"I don't want Ice cream. I want the truth. I should be allowed to know, I have a right.", Luke exclaimed stubbornly, frowning at me with the look of hurt on his facial features.
"I told you. They thought loved exist, they thought that they loved each other. Well obviously they don't, obviously love doesn't exist.", I spat out coldly, making Luke flinch slightly, his blonde hair rustled when he shook his head in disapproval.
"Love does exist, otherwise I wouldn't love you. Cat.", Luke said defensively, hopping off the other swing and walking to me smoothly.
"That's different Luke.", I fired back with a roll of my dark brown eyes, and stormed off, deciding that it is time to go home, having enough of this nonsense . Luke of course followed, head hanging low, eyes casted to the floor as he did so.
Our conversations always ended like this. With plain bitterness and hurt. Ever since mum and dad got a divorce. We never talked to each other the same again. I guess witnessing our parents try to tear each other apart to their very lowest, effects you in many ways. Including your once many strong bonds and the trust we once held.
The ring of the cell phone in my pocket to my pants brought me back to reality. I got out the flip phone, and answered it smoothly. Only mum and dad had this number. Strict rules.
"Hello?-"
"Cathrine, Your mum is in the hospital.", My dads voice had rushed through the phone call, "-She got hit by a speeding vehicle. Go back to the house right now with Luke!. I'll come pick you up and take you two to her. She is in the Ambulance heading to the hospital now.".
I prayed that day; for life to give me something more than this...
/Time Setting: Present. June the 23rd. Year 2016\
I guess my prayer got answered that day.
Just not the way I hoped or wished it would be, fate is twisted in many ways.
I stared at my now pale face that was once tanned, in the shiny review mirror. I sat quietly in Knockouts vehicle-mode, I didn't dare make a noise- not that I could without my throat aching and hurting, pretty much raw. I swear it was bleeding. Besides the point of that, I felt...empty. I just did not care, that I was sitting inside a giant robotic killing machine. I had- I am past the point of giving a flying crap.
Everyone I love is gone anyways. So who would miss me if I died tonight?.
"You are a very depressing human being.", Knockouts voice spoke up bluntly, making me jump in surprise. I could have sworn, he rolled his eyes at me in some way.
"W-hat?", I croaked out quietly, whilst rubbing my throat soothingly.
"You speak your thoughts out loud', Knockout commented, engine purring smoothly. "-And I am highly offended. That you find me a killing machine.", Knockout sarcastically spat out to me with much harshness intended.
"All you humans do is self-loath and self-pity yourselves. Do you organics ever do anything for anyone else?, or do you humans only think about themselves. Arrogant, violent, blinded by little things, cry over stupid things. No wonder you're weak.", Knockout grumbled out in a complaining way, "-and very judgmental and hypocritical, one-sided. You are no better than I am."
I stared at the dashboard, as this Decepticon simply down talked me.
"I...am n-o murde-r-er.", I hiss out the best I could, feeling offended, for the con to burst into mocking laughter.
"Oh how I dare I offend you, but you know what I am saying is the truth.", Knockout snarled out, doing a sharp turn down another unrecognizable area. I grunted and glared out the window.
"W-hat do you want from me Knockout. I do-n't know much, and I bet you know what I know.", I grumbled lowly, finding the strength to slightly stop making my voice wobble and break.
"Oh I do not want you information you hold. You are simply bait. Why do you think all I have been doing is driving about?.", Knockout drawled out casually, even thought I had the feeling the cocky bastard held a grin on his face-plates.
"-because you have nothing better to do?.", I replied sarcastically, which earned a growl in response, before the seat I was sitting in flew forward, I yelped when my head smashed against the dashboard.
I hiss and cried out in pain, hand clutching my forehead. Many small dots in my vision, I felt warm liquid run down my face and I knew it was blood.
"If you knew what was best for you. You would be careful what word choice you select.", Knockout growled out slowly, voice deadly and low, filled with anger and hatred. I closed my eyes and nodded at that.
"Oh open your eyes dear. The reunion has not even started yet.", Knockout cheekily spoke to me. Did this bot have bi-polar or something?. He has so many mood-swings it isn't even funny. I cracked open my eyes slowly, for them to squint at the bright lights driving towards us. The lights being on high-beam and belonging to-
"Optimus...", I whispered out my Guardians name slowly, tears instantly filling my eyes at the sight of him alone, this made hope fill my body once again. I was saved, I was going to be okay- My eyes widened at the sight of the leader transforming and standing alone.
Alone.
Where were the others?.
"No...", I whispered, "No...No.."
"Yes...Yes.", Knockout whispered back to me, chuckling like mad when Megatron transformed and landed swiftly in front of Optimus.
"Where is the female?", Optimus's voice boomed the quiet area, making shivers crawl down my spine madly. I shook my head, no he couldn't do this...he wouldn't...
"Safe. Alive.", Megatrons glowing red optics shining bright with amusement and threat, "-for now."
Optimus's blue optics narrowed down at Megatron, his battle mask covering his lower half of his face, but I did picture a frown or scowl there.
"I have kept my side of the deal Megatron. So keep yours.", Optimus said slowly and carefully to Megatron.
"Ah, yes. You come alone and surrender, in return for the girl to be in safe Autobot hands.", Megatron exclaimed devilishly, voice filled with nothing but darkness.
Megatron signaled for Knockout to transform- which he did. Instantly, as I found myself in hist red metal servo. I sat there horrified, eyes wide and teary.
"She has been injured.", Optimus growled out, not impressed at all.
"Now, Now. You never mentioned anything about not harming her.", Megatron said slyly, circling the Prime slowly, like a predator would to their prey.
"Give me the female.", Optimus demanded suddenly, optics filled with anger, but he allowed his voice to be firm, but have no emotion.
"As you wish, Knockout.", Megatron, smirked at Knockout, as the Decepticon Medic walked forward swiftly and simply held me out to Optimus with a sly expression. My gut filled with a bad feeling instantly, something wasn't...right.
Optimus went to grab me, for the sound of metal transforming-
"Of course I get my side of the deal too Prime", Megatrons voice yelled out, before nothing but a purple and white flash filled my eyesight; blinding me, followed by the deadly scream that left my vocal cords, as Megatron fired his cannon.
-Everything Went Dark.
