Chapter 6
Troye pov
I finally got the guts to call up Connor. He didn't answer. I felt like a complete arse. It wasn't right of me to walk away when he needed it most. I'm his boyfriend after all, I'm the one that's supposed to support and love him through everything.
He must hate me. I could have screwed everything up. I love him and I need to find him. Shoving my phone into my jean pocket, I quickly put on shoes and raced out the door. He lived a bit ways away but I'm going to run there if I have to. I need to talk to him now.
I was out of breathe but over half way there. I couldn't stop now. There is where I needed to be, holding him. Telling him it'll all be okay.
I do wonder what prompted it but depression can sneak up on anyone no matter how happy they seem.
Arriving, I knocked on the door and after a few minutes Connor answered, looking both stunned and frightened to see that it was indeed me waiting outside. "C-come in" he stuttered in disbelief. Poor boy probably thought I wanted to leave him because of it. No one should ever decide relationships based on an addiction someone has.
I entered his reasonably sized house and we sat in the living room on a large beige couch. His eyes refused to meet mine and he looked around his own house as if he had never been it in his whole life.
"I'm sorry. It wasn't fair of me to run away. I was scared and I didn't want something to happen. I was just so overwhelmed that I ran instead of helping you like you clearly needed. And-" Troye breathed out quickly put Connor had cut him off.
"I'm not mad Troye. That's understandable. I should have told you earlier. We're supposed to trust each other and I broke that. I didn't want you to see how f*cked up I am and leave. " Connor sighed looking up at the ceiling the whole time except for when he finished and finally met the other boy's eyes. " it's not your fault. I deserve it."
Troye couldn't believe his ears. He thinks he deserves to cut into his skin?? No one, no matter who deserves that.
He continued shaking his head furiously. No this isn't right, he thought. Nervously Connor scooted over and grabbed the younger boy's chin. His eyes almost pleaded for them to move onto something else. So Troye did the sensible thing and crashed their lips together.
