Chapter three

The next morning, Raven woke up fairly late. Her body had been trying to catch up on the sleep she had missed and she found that although having a nightmare is awful, it meant she didn't turn her hair into a giant knot in the middle of the night. Both Raven and Ginny were happy to see Hermione sat at the table when they entered the kitchen.

"Hermione!" Raven greeted her the bushy-haired girl through a yawn, she had been extremely tired for the past two days and was going to have to catch up on a lot of sleep.

"Hey Hermione." Ginny also greeted the bushy-haired girl, entering the kitchen a beat behind Raven.

"Hey guys." Hermione answered the greeting, before frowning at the two serial yawners.

"What's up with you two?" Hermione asked them, they laughed at the fact that the girl didn't miss a trick.

"It's a long story." Ginny said.

At the same time Raven told Hermione, "prophetic dreams, you know the usual."

The girl looked from one to the other. "Right, not complicated at all." she said sarcastically.

"Hermione! Are you doubting us?" Raven pretended to be devastated.

"How insulting!" Ginny added, going along with it.

"I'm sorry." Hermione grinned, knowing that they wouldn't stop with their charade otherwise. She stopped grinning and promptly frowned as Ron entered the room, eating sweets. His red hair was spiked and he had obviously just woken up. None of them knew where on earth he had gotten the sweets from, but it was only Hermione who was concerned.

"Ron! You shouldn't eat sweets before breakfast!" she scolded him, reminding Ginny, Raven and Ron of the matriarch of the Weasley family, Mrs Weasley herself.

"Mmhmm." the boy mumbled, shoving a piece of toast into his mouth.

Hermione tutted and shook her head at him, but Raven merely laughed. Ron never seemed to change, ever since she had met the boy, in the summer between her first and second year, he had always hoovered up his food.

"You laughing at my eating habits Rave?" He asked after stuffing yet another piece of toast into his mouth. She laughed again and then frowned at him. She did love mornings in the Weasley household, you never knew what to expect, nor what someone was going to come out with.

"Did you just call me Rave?" She questioned, instead of answering the question he had asked her. Ron shrugged, and put down his third piece of toast so he could talk to her properly.

"Well everyone else has a nickname for you, and you do give me nicknames, so I decided to give you one." he explained, she thought about his reasoning and nodded.

"Fair enough." She said, finding no reason for him not to give her a nickname, she picked up the last piece of toast as he was about to pick it up, he mock-glared at her and laughed as she attempted to fit it into her mouth.

Mrs Weasley placed a fresh round of toast on the table and greeted two of her sons, as the twins entered the room.

"Morning!" Fred greeted them, they joined the four who were already sat at the table. George leaned his head on Raven's shoulder, causing the girl to look at him with the same disgust one would give a slug.

"DO.YOU.MIND!" she bellowed down his ear hole, causing him to jump on remove his head from her shoulder.

"Sorry?" he asked, and at a glare from the girl, confirmed his own question. He got himself a piece of toast, covered it in honey and shoved it in his mouth. She watched him, a disgusted expression on her face. He looked at her in slight surprise.

"What?" he asked her in confusion. She sighed.

"You disgust me." she stated plainly. He shrugged and she was strongly reminded of Ron, which made her wonder who got it from who.

Reece wandered in a moment later, rubbing his eyes, his hair sticking up at odd angles like he had been electrocuted.

"Morning Reece." Raven greeted him as he sat down on her other side.

"Morning." He mumbled, getting himself a slice of toast and taking a bite.

After breakfast, Hermione, Ginny and Raven were sat in the room they would be sharing for the remainder of the holidays, which was Ginny's room and the room Ginny and Raven had shared the night before. They weren't doing much, other then chatting about any random subject that any one of them came up with. Until the talk turned to crushes. The boys were getting ready to floo to Harry's, meaning they won't be overheard in their conversation.

"Ok Ginny, spill, we know you like Harry." Raven declared. Ginny turned a deep shade of crimson.

"What? No I don't!" she denied, not convincing the other two that she did not indeed like Harry James Potter. Which of course was a lie. Ginny Weasley was desperately in love with him.

"Oh please, it's obvious. You go red when he's aroun-" Ginny cut Hermione off before she listed any more of the things Ginny did when she saw and talked to Harry.

"OK, OK! I like him a bit." she admitted. At the raised eyebrows of Hermione and Raven, she finally admitted she like Harry, a LOT.

"That took way too long." Raven stated, earning herself one of Ginny's favourite death glares.

"yes, but we all know you like George." Ginny countered, causing Raven's eyes to widen.

"That's ridiculous." She stated, rolling her eyes at the thought.

"Raven, are you sure?" Hermione asked.

"I'm sure!" she shrieked throwing a pillow at both Hermione and Ginny.

"Yeah, yeah, we believe you." Ginny said sarcastically. Raven glared at her and was about to respond, when they heard the sounds of someone flooing into the house.

"Let us go and greet your crush Gin!" Raven declared, throwing open the door.

"Oh shut up!" Ginny punched Raven's arm lightly, and the three girls ran down the stairs, ready to greet the boys.

Raven, being faster, was in front of the other two, the fact that she had set off in front of them helped as well.
