The throbbing sensation throughout my body was bearable, however enough to annoy me. Initially starting as a small ache in my quad, later spreading into both my legs. I felt I was lethargic today, I certainly did better in my first trial. Although, I didn't think I did badly, I just always see room for improvement.

My anxiety and nerves are getting the better of me as I lie in my bed, after having come home from my second trial earlier today. The lactic acid in my legs was so overpowering that I was almost oblivious of my thoughts and anxiety now.

In hope of the lactic acid draining from my legs, I swiftly swung my legs up and around so they were now up the wall. This was my special strategy I accidentally discovered one night after an intense training with my old club team. It happened when I wanted to turn my bed side light off, and the switch was on a shelf that was somewhat higher than the bed. I was too lazy to use my hands as I was texting my friend Gracie, so I used my feet. I was not successful to turn the light off, however I solved the mystery of how to relieve lactic acid.

As the pain relieved, I was yet again being taken over by my nerves as the words of coach Louise replayed in my head. 'We'll notify you tomorrow morning, regarding your selection.' However, the more I lay here, the more tired I'm getting. I am lost of thoughts as my eye lids get heavier and I fall into a deep asleep for the night.

—Next morning—

I woke up the next morning and glanced over to my bed side table. I felt spoilt because Arsenal Ladies had paid for my accomodation and it was a great room. The clock read 7:46am. I really wanted to go back to sleep but I just couldn't. There was just a weird feeling inside of me that I couldn't get rid of. It felt like there was something I had to do. It was like the feeling when your too excited to sleep because it's Christmas tomorrow, mixed between the feeling you get before you go on the scariest ride at a theme park.

No matter how hard I tried to get what ever this was, off of my mind, I just always had that gut feeling there. I thought I'd wait and see if it would come to mind by passing time. Eventually it would come to me right?

Resuming my morning routine, I got in some black tights and a plain grey jumper. I'm sure not getting used to the London climate. No matter how many layers of clothes I would wear, I was still an icicle.

My stomach began to rumble, which felt like a magnitude nine earthquake as I got the urge of needing something to eat. As you do when your hungry, I got some breakfast.

I really couldn't be bothered to prepare a fruit salad or anything, as I was maxed out and today would be my recuperation day,  so I went with a bowl of cornflakes. Not much nutrients I know, but I don't need many kilojoules today because I'm not exercising.

I was half way through pouring milk into my bowl of cereal when my hand let go and I dropped the bottle. I ran like the flash as I bolted to my room. My team mates could argue that it was the fastest I had ever run.

It finally occurred to me what I was forgetting. All that was going through my mind was to get my damn phone. I forgot that today I was supposed to get told whether the Arsenal Ladies wanted me in the team. I went straight to my bed side table and took my phone off the charge. When the lock screen came up, there were no notifications, but I decided to go to my messages anyway, to double check. I put my code in and opened up my text messages.

My eyes scanned the screen, only to my disappointment to find out there were no messages yet. Damn. Now I have to get back in the kitchen and clean up the mess I made. For all I know, I could be waiting all day for this text. Trust Lou to keep her word, she is a very busy lady. I put my phone down and went to leave the room. Just as I did so, I was interrupted by my text tone.

I swear a shot of adrenalin was released into my body, the moment my ears received the familiar sound from my out dated iPhone. My hopes got high and I was in no time, back to the bed side table. Oh my gosh, This must be it. I opened my phone, and what appeared on my screen was nothing I thought I'd ever feel about this person. I had never been so upset to receive a text message from Mesut. I opened the text, to reveal the whole message.

Mesut: Hey. heard anything, Good news?

I sigh, frustrated that I got my hopes so high only to receive a message that I can't even answer yet. Just as I was about to reply to his text, I was once again interrupted by my text tone.

Because I was already on my phone, the notification came across the top of my screen. This meant only the abriviated version of the message would be shown. And what was shown, had me in utter disappointment.

Arsenal Ladies: We are sorry...

That was all I could see and it was enough to make my heart brake. All of my hard work had gone to dust as I hadn't been good enough. I'm sure I can get a trial somewhere else, however it will in no way be able to compete with the love I have for Arsenal.

Contemplating whether I wanted to read the full text, I turn my phone back on. I decide to anyway because they might have information on where I need to improve on, or why they didn't pick me. I open up the text message and resume reading.

Arsenal Ladies: We are sorry that we took so long getting back to you, however. It is our pleasure to inform you we would be delighted to have you as part of our team. Your performances from yesterday's trials impressed us and we could instantly see talent and potential. Welcome to the Arsenal family.

Oh my gosh, I could never have been more wrong in my life. I can't believe I did that to myself. My exited self was over riding the anger I had for misinterpreting the message. My thumbs start to profusely type on my messages. As I enter the following words;

Me: I accept your offer. Thank you very much and I can't wait to be a part of the family.

I couldn't believe it. My dream has actually come true. Since I was little I had always dreamed of this moment. I need to call Mesut and my family. I called my family first... which was just my mum.

"Hey mum, its me," I said.

Hi, how are you, is everything alright?" She asked.

"Yes mum I'm fine. Well... better than fine," I said.

"Oh my god, you didn't!?" She asked almost screaming from excitement.

"YEEESSS!!" I screamed.

"Oh my gosh, well done sweetheart, I know what this means. I'll spread the word to close friends but I have to go now, my friend Julie and I are about to go to the movies, so see ya. And we'll done, tell me more about it later." she said.

"Thank you mum. I love you so much," I said.

Next was to call Mesut. As literally as soon as I pressed the call button and it was ringing through, Mesut answered almost instantly.

"Hey, any news?"

"Hey Mesut, yeah there is. Can you meet me at the park down the road from the coffee club in 15?" I ask. Trying to sound nervous to scare him.

"sure, is everything alright?" He asked, sounding really concerned.

"Yeah, see you soon," I said and hung up.
