I'm sure Mesut isn't the type of guy to care about my appearance, however I think it's best to change into something more appropriate. It takes about ten minutes to walk to the park, which means I have five minutes to get ready.
Digging into my suitcase to find something somewhat warm, I pull out a matching adidas tracksuit. I removed my previous clothing items, and replace them with my favourite tracksuit set. Dressing quite casually as Mesut won't care and I'm sure we won't be there long.
My hand ventures back to the desk where my phone sat. I gather a few essentials in my pocket, which include; my phone, sunnies and money. Reading my watch, I see that i have one minute to spare, as I exit my apartment door.
Today was my fifth day in London, and it was Wednesday already. The statement sure is true, that time flys when your having fun.
While pressing the button on the lift, to ground level, realisation hit me. I have been so caught up in my own problems and excitement that I totally forgot about my mother.
Excitement and joy is all I have been feeling, however I forgot about mum. Yes, I know I called her. And I know she knows that I made the team and everything, but I just remembered, I would be living here now and mum has no family with her.
She worked so hard to give me all of the opportunities I have. And she even saved up for me to move here, however it must seem like I'm leaving her to dust. Hopefully if I continue and find a university to finish my course, than I can get a job and save up for her to move here.
Moving back would be a waste of effort that I put in to get here, so I have to take this opportunity, but I feel torn apart. I can't just leave her on her own. That's why I'm finding a solution in staying here.
My ears are attacked with the sound of a the lift, signalling I have reached the ground floor. As I see people standing outside the lift, waiting for me to get out, I take it as my signal and exit.
I took a large step outside into the icy cold London air. I have never experienced anything like it in my life. Well, not that I can remember. I probably did when I lived in Guernsey, but I can't remember and lost all memories.
The whole time I have been walking, I think about what life must be like for the rest of my family in Guernsey. I wonder who they are, what they look like and what they are doing right now. Maybe one day our paths will meet again.
Taking in my surroundings once again, I notice I am not too far from the park. Until I am taken out of my train of thought as a car engine slows down behind me. I usually flinch and my heart races millions of miles per hour when a car stops behind me, but I recognise the sound of the engine.
My head jolts to the side, to see who it is, and to my surprise I see Mesut. I don't really think it's a surprise though, as I knew he would be at the park, but I didn't expect him to slow down behind me.
I get caught in the gaze of Mesuts beautiful chocolate brown eyes, until words escape his mouth which divert my attention to his soft lips, as they move, projecting words out of it.
"Hop in. It's a cold morning, come back to my place for a hot drink." Mesut explains. I don't think, I just do, as Mesut has basically parked his car in the middle of the road.
I quickly trod around to the passenger seat of the car, then he reaches over to open the door for me. The familiar smell of Mesuts cologne permiates through my nostrils, sending shivers down my spine.
The tweeting of the birds, and starting of Mesuts engine, are interrupted by his strong German accent.
"What's the news?" He asked. However quite nervously, as he is formulating something supporting to say if i tell him negative news. I decide I want to make the moment that I tell him special, so I'll make him wait.
"That can wait until we get back to your place." I said with an evident smirk on my face. Pure annoyance was plastered over Mesuts face, however intending as a joke.
As the journey passes, we make little talk. It gets kind of awkward as no one wants to break the ice, although I think it's because we're waiting until I tell him before we get engaged in a proper conversation.
Mesut said the journey to his place shouldn't be too long. Maybe ten to fifteen minutes at the most from the park. Which meant we are almost there.
Usually when I stare out of the window, all of my surroundings are familiar, and I know and expect what to see when I go places, although wherever I look, nothing is the same, and it is all new knowledge to me.
Moments later, we pull into a gravel driveway, noticeable as you can hear the tyres of the car, traveling over the rough surface. We come to a holt, as Mesut parks his car next to a strange feminine car that I wouldn't expect to see him driving. Mesut clearly sees I am not focussed, so he gestures we are here, and to exit the car.
Mesut and I walk in sync, as we approach a big black door which it yet to be opened by Mesut. He types a code into a key pad on the wall, and the door unlocks. Behind the door, I can hear a scratchy sound on the flaw, as if it were claws running across the tiles.
Mesut opens the door to reveal the reason behind the scratchy noise. A little black pug comes running up to me, trying to jump up my leg.
Mesut is clearly annoyed at his dogs desperate actions as he instructs his dog.
"Balboa! Get off." Mesut demands. Balboa scampers away from my leg and sobs after being told off.
"No, It's okay, I think he's cute." I insist. A small smile appears on Mesuts face, as if he was happy I was a dog person.
The pug comes bolting back to me as I reach down, opening my arms to pick him up. Except he escapes my grasp. A small chuckle leaves Mesuts mouth, as I motion to go ahead and chase him. Mesut nods his head in approval as I take off to catch the little pug. I have never felt more childish in my life, but I love dogs!
I run through the front door and stop, astonished at what is in front of me. His house it beautiful. If you take a turn to your left, there is a huge stair case, I'm presuming that leads up to the bedrooms, and to the right, it takes you to the kitchen and living rooms.
The sound of barking enters my ears as I remember what I was doing. I take off again, in search to find Balboa. I go right into the kitchen, and see balboa under the dining table. I sigh in defeat as I am clearly too big to try and fit under and get him.
I hear footsteps behind me which I presume are Mesuts, so I turn around ready to explain what I was doing, only to find I was not facing Mesut.
As soon as I see who it is, the message Mesut received, replayed through my head
Hey, you still up for Wednesday?
