His mouth was moving, releasing words I was unable to hear, as I just stood staring emotionless at her.

Mesut waved his hand profusively in my face, motioning he was trying to talk to me. But I just stood here frozen and confused. Why would Mesut invite me over when his girlfriend is here?

Coming back into reality, I decide to forget about it and do what I came here to do. But before I start to talk, Mesut begins to speak again.

"Alana, did you hear me?" Mesut asks concerned. I stutter for a second before coherent words escape my mouth.

"Um, no sorry." I reply. He looks at me with the same concerned look as moments before, then proceeds to speak.

"Look, can we speak in private?" He once again asks me a question. Not too long later, I form a reply.

"Yeah, sure."

Mesut and I leave the dining room, which now only consists of Mandy. We leave her looking purely confused and unaware of what's going on.

He leads me through his large house, and up the stairs. I was right, as up here, there are multiple bedrooms. One of which, Mesut enters, then motioning me to do the same.

We both walk over to a couch, under his window ledge. Before Mesut gets himself settled, I look out the window which over looks his calm London street.

The seat next to me fills when Mesut sinks into the couch. I turn to look at him but he just looks at his hands which he is fiddling with in his lap. The silence breaks when Mesut speaks up

"What was that about?" He asks concerned. However I don't really want to answer. In fact, I don't know what to answer.

"I... um-" I begin to stutter but Mesut cuts me off.

"Look don't worry about it." He says,
evidently feeling bad about putting me in that position. After feeling embarrassed for a period of time, I want to dish the news to Mesut and then get going to search for a permanent apartment.

"Hey Mesut, I'm sorry this had been awkward, but I'll tell you the news and then I better get going." I let out.

Mesut disappointedly nodded his head, suggesting he wanted me to stay. He wouldn't be so sad about me leaving I'm sure, which means he probably thinks I have bad news.

I decide to tell him with a sudden change of mood right in the middle of the sentence.

"I'm sorry Mesut," his head goes into his hands signalling he is upset, not knowing I will be continuing the sentence, "but you'll have to deal with me for a while." I said.

"Oh. Alana I'm sorry," he says, still not having processed what I just said. However he still continues, "I really think you shoul-" his head lifts up and he looks at me as if I had three heads. "Hang on, what!?" He yells. I'm sure Mandy would have heard from how loud he just yelled.

"That's right," I chuckle.

Mesut jumps on my lap, and engulfs me in a hug. This sudden change of emotion has really made me happy. He looks so much better with a smile on his face.

After the few moments we shared in our hug, I hear footsteps at the door. Mesut and I both look up to see a confused, Mandy Capristo.

I begin to feel suddenly awkward as she saw me hugging her boyfriend, which means I want to get the hell out of here. I feel sorry to leave the explaining upon Mesut, but I want to be alive to play in the next game.

I give Mesut a brief look, and mouth a 'goodbye' with my lips, and walk past Mandy out the door. Her eyes stay on me as I skuff down the hallway, so I start to stumble into a slow jog.

When I reach the bottom of the stairs, realisation immediately takes over, as I remember Mesut took he here and I don't have transport to get home. I'm not too sure how far away Mesuts place is from my hotel, so I open my phone to look at google maps.

I think Mesut realised what was going on, as I hear someone running behind me. Although I'm not in the mood to talk, so I reach out to the door handle in attempt to open the large, black door.

"I'll take you home," Mesuts strong German accent escapes from his mouth. But I don't want to bother him, plus he has more problems to worry about.

"What about Mandy?" I ask.

I expect a reply from him, except that's not what I get. Our conversation is interrupted by Mandy and her keys rattling, followed by her also German accent.

"I was just about to leave," she unexpectedly butted in. She brushes past me, exiting the house. Mesut however, motions toward the familiar door, signalling to exit. We exchange a smile, before leaving.

Once inside his Ferrari, Mesut and I made no eye contact, all that happened in the space of five minutes, was the igniting of the engine, and me putting my sunglasses on my light blue eyes. Before we leave the driveway, Mesut breaks the ice when he decided to speak up.

"I never got to say congratulations by the way. I'm really happy for you," he softly speaks.

I smile to myself, revealing my blushing cheeks, which he notices from his pheriferal vision.

"Thank you Mesut, I'm really grateful to have a friend like you." I smirk.

"Oh stop it," he chuckles while also smirking. He turns back to the wheel and we exit his driveway, following Mandy out.

Apart from me explaining where my hotel was, the rest of the journey was so silent. It was kind of uncomfortable. My gaze is caught in the swaying of the trees as we come to the set of lights that Mesut picked me up at earlier today. The familiar park was now filled with children running around on the play ground.

He car starts back up and we are maybe five minutes off our destination. On the way, we drive past a synthetic football pitch which is pretty much empty, apart from seven people which I'm presuming are guys down the far end.

All dressed in black, they one by one take turns kicking the ball from the penalty spot. I'm guessing they are doing the crossbar challenge because My attention is focussed on a tall blonde who pelts it right onto the woodwork.

Except it doesn't look like they are there for fun. There is a camera filming their every movement, which they keep referring to. But I don't see anymore as we proceed to move closer to my hotel.

The car pulls up outside the hotel. I just told Mesut to drop me off out here and not to worry about coming with. He seemed a bit hesitant, but we were on awkward terms at the moment. So he let it be.

Thanking Mesut, I hop out of the car, and wave good bye. He smiles back and pulls away, out of the loading bay.

I have a tendency to walk up the stairs rather than go up in a lift. But I only used the lift this morning because I was in a rush and wanted to get down in one piece. Walking up the stairs to my room, my mind briefly goes over what I have to do today.

I have to try and manage my time, because I have a busy time table as a footballer. First thing I need to do, is hop on my computer to finish my assignment for university. Once I have completed that, I will go into deep search to find a permanent flat or apartment to stay in. Other than that, I think I'm fine so I can probably have the afternoon to myself.
