her face set in disgust
what she sees
is different
from what everyone else sees
what she sees is fat
and ugly
and gross
and everything everyone else can't see
what everyone else sees
is beauty
and grace
and talent
and everything she can't see
she shakes her head
and feels the tears start to form
and no matter what she does
she can't seem to be happy
no matter how skinny she is
or how much makeup she wears
she can't see herself as beautiful
and it not only harms herself
but everyone else around her
