Ross' pov

I ran out of the lunch room into the science room. 'he can't find out he can never find out' I start to think of what max would do if he found out I'm gay. I finally made it to the science room. I sat down in the back of the room and then I see max walk in. 'Is he sonic!?' Then the bell rang, starting the class. Max sat next to me, 'why next to me!? I'm your only friend but your hot you can be popular!' The teacher stood up from his desk and walked in front of the class. "Hello guys. Today we have a new student..Max?" Max stood up signaling that it was him. "Tell us a little bit about your self". "Um..well my name is max laplume and I'm from Louisiana. That's about it" max sat back down.
Then class officially started.

Time skip to the middle of class

I was drawing in my sketchbook not paying attention to the class when a note was thrown on my desk. I looked over to max who was staring at my desk. I slowly opened the piece of paper. It said "Ross, if your gay that's fine. It doesn't matter who or what you like.~Love max". I folded the note back up and put it in my pocket. I started to draw in my sketchbook again.

Time skip after class

I grabbed my bags and headed to my locker. Once I got there I opened it and a note fell out. 'did max write me another letter?' I thought but I opened it and it read 'did rossy get himself a boyfriend? Go to Hell you gay fag! Meet us behind the school after school. If you don't. You'll get the beating of a life time!'. I sighed and shut my locker. Then I saw max standing right next to me. "H-hey m-max did you need anything". "Nothing what's your next class?" "E-english". Max took out his schedule which was folded in his pocket. "Same!" He sounded excited? "Why are you excited? You have to be with me". "That's why I'm excited ya nerd" he let out a small laugh.

Time skip to the end of the day :)

Max's pov

I was at my locker grabbing the rest of my stuff. Then I saw ross he looked. Scared? I decided to go to him and ask what's wrong. "Hey buddy what's wrong?" He jumped to the sound of my voice. "N-nothing" he shut his locker door. "Hey what's your number? Just so we can talk later". Ross took my phone and put in his number then left. I walked out of the school and walked to the back. I started to walk home since I didn't have my license yet. Then I saw ross and a group of boys talking. I walked up to them "hey ross. Everything okay here?" A boy (the leader) rolled his eyes. "Look rossy your boyfriend came!" He said. Ross was looking at the ground "I'm not his boyfriend" I said. "Sure you aren't" a boy said. "Shut up todd!" Ross shouted. Todd smacked him across the face. "What the fuck is wrong with you!" I shouted. "Fags like you should burn in Hell" he said. Him and his group walk away. "Ross you okay?" He looked up "y-ya I'm fine". "Why do they treat you like this Ross?". "I-its because I'm gay max. And they homophobes just like my parents" Ross said on the verge of crying. "R-ross I'm sorry" I put my hands on his cheeks to make him look at me. "Its gonna be okay. No one will hurt you as long as I'm here" I said. He smiled and hugged me. "Thank you max" he said. I put my chin on his head. "No problem"
