Okay, back at school, blah, blah, blah
Oh, good, now we're at lunch

As the bell rings for luck, I quickly run to my locker to meet Matt. Unfortunately, he's already there, his 4th period class being right next to my locker. As soon as he sees me, he waves. "Hey, Stevo, how come you're so late?" I intentionally fool my eyes, "Come on, Matt, you know as well as I do that I came as soon as I could." He laughs and we head for lunch. I stare at the food choices and decide on which one will make me less sick, a grilled cheese sandwich, or chicken tenders. "Ah, well, chicken tenders is the choice for me, Matt. How about you?" I said. "Ha, poor you, my mom packed me Papa John's pizza. Freshly ordered today, or this morning."
Just then, my phone rang, or buzzed. I looked down at it and saw that it was my dad.
Dad: There's a new exchang student from Washington coming here after school, okay
Me: okay, why r u telling me this?
Dad: Because your going to be picking the student up after school
Me: is the student staying with us?
Dad: No, you've just got to go get her
Me: it's a girl, y didnt u tell me
Dad: that's why
Me: who's she staying with
Dad: Beta and his family
Me: she's staying with Matt?
Dad: yeah
Me: what time?
Dad 4:00 plane
Me: alright, I'll be there
"Matt, why didn't you tell me that you were getting a female exchange student?" I asked him. "That's because I didn't know!" he said looking alarmed. He ran off calling his dad as he went. I sighed and went to the hot lunch line.
As soon as I got my food and sat down, Matt and Maddie came over to me and sat down with me. Maddie had chicken tenders too, but when Matt saw this, he took her chicken tenders and traded it for her pizza. "So, Matt, what did your dad say about the exchange student?" Matt looked up from devouring the chicken tenders, "He said that her name is Melissa. Since she is valedictorian in her class, her school wants to see if she can compete with you, the valedictorian of your class. She is 16, has brown hair and blue eyes, athletic and of average height. She lives at 8739 Singltary Road, Kennewik, Washington. And that's about all he told me." "That's all, it sounds like he collected every little thing about her, I'm surprised he didn't give you her 'funny little quirks'." I said sarcastically. "Well, he actually did, but I didn't think you wanted to hear that so..."
