Chapter 3

  "Why won't you die yet?!"

Pain flashed in Un-named's eyes as Oblivion sliced with his big talons at his tail. Half of the tail fell off and Un-named shouted, "You killed my SON! Spruce was no danger to you!" He spied a dagger on the golden floor in the throne room and picked it up hastily. He jammed in a wedge between Oblivion's scales around his vast wings. A spray of blood spewed out from the spot.

Oblivion roared in fury and pain and growled, extending his wings, "Your Spera-darned son, the one you call Spruce, was talking back to me. He nearly poked my eye out. I had to put him in his rightful place, in hell, where he BELONGS."

"You MONSTER!" Un-named yelled as he bucked with all his might at Oblivion's huge dragon head. That move knocked Oblivion to the ground. A cloud of dust momentarily blinded Un-named.

Oblivion raised his head slightly and whispered, still snarling, "Who knew a puny horse could defeat a GIANT like me... Heh... Well, I'm not giving up that easily... Oh, no, NEVER. I'M NOT GIVING UP TO AN OVER-PROTECTIVE FATHER!" Oblivion lunged at Un-named, head first. His jaws gaped widely for at least two full-grown sümi-lapi-devils to fit in.

Un-named whispered to himself, "Here goes nothing," He narrowed his eyes as he used his "levitation" powers to retrieve a spear behind him next to the hidden pouch behind one of the columns in the room. Now, every king has this kind of power, even horses. So, it's definitely not over-powered. He aimed the spear toward Oblivion's head and shot it forward.

There was a roar of fury and a squishing sound. And there lied the corpse of Oblivion, bleeding heavily where the spear impaled his head. His eyes were blank.

"Well, you know what to do now," Un-named muttered coldly to himself. He trotted over to the pouch and opened it up with his snout. Inside were twelve bright blue crystals, the light from them illuminating his face.

He brought the crystals, one by one, around the dragons body. They were spaced out to make a circle. Un-named thought to himself excitingly, "If this experiment works, I'll have a pet dragon! This could help the reputation and economy of Confir! And I'll finally have a friend! After all, this SHOULD work. I read it in a book!"

Un-named went to where the head of Oblivion was and whispered,

"Oh mighty dragon, please answer me,

Help us, and we will serve thee."

He repeated the words 3 times more until a tornado of stone particles circled the corpse. The twelve crystals brought a beam of light hitting the dragon's scales. The lights grew bigger, and bigger, and bigger.

Un-named was blinded for a while by the light and and looked ahead. He gasped and widened his eyes. He couldn't believe his eyes.

Oblivion was alive and well. He seemed stronger than ever. His armor clicked with each step that the gargantuan dragon took. He roared, "YOU!"

Un-named thought as he shook insanely, "What have I done?! I've let my village and Unum down!" He got one of the daggers that had an enchantment to bend time and move through dimensions and cut it though the air. A hole appeared with a yellow-ish tone to it. "I have to get out of here!" Un-named jumped through the hole and found himself bleeding on a cave floor which he called it his "office."

Oblivion roared as the white horse jumped through the portal. He stuck his claw through the hole, trying to decapitate him, but the hole closed down on him. He expected for his claw to be torn off, but, it didn't. It stayed with the yellow tone to it. Oblivion grinned an all-teeth smile, "I have an idea." He stuck his other talon in and ripped the hole bigger for his full body to fit through. His tail wagged, the axe-hammer rattling, and Oblivion thought excitingly, "Yes! It worked!"

Oblivion tore two of the columns from their places in the room and placed them to keep the hole open. Then, he flew off into the other edge of the hall and thought with a malicious happiness, "I'll keep this up until 2 moon cycles from now. But, for now, I'll need to gather some... 'Friends...'"
