Chapter 5
"Wh-who is that?" Ginger whispered to Daisy.
"That's Chance, that elderly horse that runs the delinquent place nearby," Daisy replied.
The delinquent place was a little stable where parents abandoned their foals to live. This place is better known to Ginger as, "School."
"Oh, calm the heck down, Chance. Tell me what happened," Oreo said as she trotted over and let Chance lean on her.
"WheN I gOT home," Chance shouted with his voice cracking and wheezing, "I saw mY sOn there, lying on the hAystACK. I whispered, 'Matthew?' and I saw his BLOOD staining the ground he was lying oN. AlOnG with a TENTACLE mark on his neck."
"There, there," a very deep male voice called behind him. A pure-black horse with dark-green eyes walked behind him. "My name is Lieutenant Crow, and I bring news. Everyone needs to go to the palace IMMEDIATELY. I REPEAT IMMEDIATELY. The King has news for everyone. But, for now, let's go."
The cafe' was chaos, with all the inhabitants leaving.

It was hours before the arena was filled up, so many hours that it was sunrise. Then there was a booming voice, "Everyone, we have news."
King Un-named walked forward with Queen Cinnamon by his side. He held a stern look with his face.
"Something is wrong," Ginger whispered to herself. Then she heard a rustle behind her. Raven was beside her.
"Oh, hey! Remember me? We met three moon cycles ago?" Raven whispered, smiling.
"Oh, yeah. I remember you! You were so shy back then... Anywho, let's listen to what he has to say."
"Ginger, Raven, and Marmalade. Come forward."
"Wh-what? I haven't done anything bad, what the heck? Ugh, fine." Ginger whispered back to Raven.
The horses that were called trotted down in front of Un-named. They exchanged glances as he trotted down, carrying a book. Un-named gave the book to Raven and whispered, "I'm sure you can read Nachrictar, right?" He gave the book a hearty tap with his hoof, "That's what this is in."
"Well, a little, sir. I know most of it."
"Good. You'll need it a lot."
After that, Un-named trotted up his pedestal and shouted, "Citizens of Fjell, I have news. We are in grave DANGER."
The horses below murmured and shouted un-explainable drac-dung that Ginger didn't understand, but she knew they were scared.
Un-named shook his head and shouted, "SILENCE!" The crowd went silent immediately. "We need to evacuate now."
With the word "now," that was when the first dragon attacked the village.
