I was freezing when I walked into the Library, of course the fact that the air-conditioner was on full blast was also not so helpful. The librarian looked up at me and gave a cheesy smile, but then went back to typing on his computer. I walked around trying to find any good books, but there was nothing I wanted to read.

"There is nothing to read," I said while walking up to the librarian.

"Nothing?" he said sounding surprised.

"I either hate the book on the shelf or I have already have read the book," I replied

"If I were you I would check in the corner," he said.

I looked in all the corners until I found a book covered in a dark maroon velvet. I opened the book, and inside were beautiful ,shimmering ,golden letters spelling Little Red Riding Hood. All of a sudden I looked at the clock and it was time to go home. I grabbed the book and ran out with it without looking behind me. I ran past the bakery, but then stopped suddenly. I still needed to buy some bread for my grandma.

I entered the the bakery, and the smell of fresh pastries entered my nostrils. I walked up to the lady behind the counter.

"One loaf of bread, three cookies, and a cupcake please," I said smiling because the cupcake was for me.

"Of course sweet heart," she said while walking over to the display case.

I kept looking at the clock to see what time it was, I was 30 min. late! 30 min. might not seem that bad, but 30 min. is 30 years for my mother.

The lady walked back over to me with the bread, cookies, and cupcake.

"Here you go," she said handing me the the food.

I ran out the door, and headed towards my house. When I got home my mom was not there. I looked all around the house,but she was gone... no note, no sign, nothing.
