We all stood outside packed with bags to bring with us to our new homes, I had the least to bring but the most amount of tears to bring with me while everyone else already stood dry. I was able to mask my cuts with some concealer that I had found left in my room maybe from an old occupant or currently leaving resident; no matter what the story was it saved me from an even more emotional Nora from fretting over more than just leaving her care. When she said goodbye to each of us individually her tears seemed like they would never end, as if she had an endless well that wouldn't run dry.

"Nora, we have to go." Beau placed a comforting hand to her shoulder. Nora turned from hugging Mina and stood to face Beau, her face puffy and red already; she must've been crying all night long. A tear escaped Beau's blind eyes as he pulled Nora into his chest and tried to comfort her. "I'm sorry, we will all write to you as often as we get the chance. We'll take care of each other." His voice was so caring and sympathetic. "Nora you have done everything in your power to protect us until this day, but now other kids out there need your help and they're waiting to find someone like you to be able to save them and help them understand who they are. Just look at Paisley, she just got here as a scared foster child who abandoned all hope of a future," his words stung my heart as I knew he was right, "but look at her now. She's standing tall and if you haven't seen I can tell that her eyes have changed. You have gotten us all to believe in ourselves and accept who we are, to change our eyes. You did that, we all have a future that we aren't scared of anymore because of you. Don't shed anymore tears over us leaving, the only tears we want you to shed is the happiness you have gave to all of us and the lives we are going to prosper through. This isn't goodbye, this is thank you."

His words were so powerful and strong that it hit everyone of our hearts, Nora was smiling in such delight as she overlooked all of us. Each one bright royal blue eyes starring back to hers, her sad tears warmed as she thought about every single one of us. She gleamed showing pride to everyone as she knew that Beau's words were true. "I've cared for all of you as I have sworn to do so, all the while I never saw how much you have all grown so much and no longer need my protecting. I wish you all the best for your futures and hope they all bring much happiness to all of your lives. Pardon me for not helping you load your things into the bus but I must go." Nora quickly shuffled away from us, wiping tears from her eyes she disappeared back behind the barrier. Though we could not see her we could hear her cries only coming through as a silent echo .

"This way please, we will have your things loaded up just please make your way into the bus so we shall keep going." The bus driver approached us with a smile. His brown eyes showed that he wasn't one of us but he didn't seem to be surprised when Nora disappeared or through any of our talking. What exactly is he?

"Paisley, stop staring at the hot bus driver and let's move!" Brittany pulled at my arm. Her cheeks were red as fire as she gazed at him. I let out a small chuckled seeing the look in her eyes, please say this isn't the way that I look when I talk to Beau. "Paisley are you coming?" She spun around careful to whip her hair attractively, yet the bus driver was too busy handling bags to notice her. He rarely seemed to notice any of us, like he didn't want to look at us.His eyes never met ours and he was careful to duck out of our way, was he scared of us?

"Paisley come on," Beau took my hand and led me onto the bus. It was hot and stingy, filled with other kids who were blasting around their abilities freely, not afraid who they were. A few of them shared the same royal blue eyes, those who did sat uneasily in their seats curious watching each of us that entered.

My attention faltered as a ball that had been bounced around smashed against my face. Stunned I gripped the side of a seat helping me not to fall. Scores of laughter rotate through the bus as they all were looking at me, great first impression Paisley. A hand reached and pulled me up, a small girl at the other side of it with a smile as large as she could make it. "You can sit with me if you'd wish." Her voice was so soft and sweet, her light blue eyes beautiful shining in the sunlight that poured in through the windows. She scooched over and made space for me as her smile never twitched, what was she so happy about? "You don't remember me do you?" She shook her head lightly with a brief laugh.

"I'm sorry?" I crocked my eyebrow confused, she didn't even look familiar to me. I'm not good with faces but she doesn't look like anyone I remember.

"I'm Erin, we used to share a room in the Monster Green's foster home?" Mr Green was a pervert who played his part well for social services, but only wanted to use his part. I was only a small child just after my mom was killed, he was the first house I went to. "You were so much younger back then, so scared. One night I remember him coming after you for crying too loudly, don't you remember?"

"I try to forget, I'm sorry but I don't remember much." I turned away, I remembered it all but didn't want to feel that vulnerable again. He had entered my room one night, it was my birthday and I missed my mom terribly. All I wanted was to see her one more time but I knew that I never would. He didn't want to hear my cries anymore and said he was going to give me something to cry about. With an empty alcohol bottle in one hand he grabbed my shoulder, but my roommate in his house had woken up and stole his bottle. She smashed it over his head and called the police right away. She saved me that night. Everyone from that house was relocated and carefully given kind parents, except me who went right into another group home where I was so often ignored that I allowed myself become a shadow.

"You were so young I doubt you remember much about it." Erin ran her fingers over my head. She wasn't very older than me but she still risked herself for me back then, and still her kindness remained unaltered. "I wouldn't remember as much if it wasn't for who I am, I'm what is called an echo. When I see someone I know all the memories I ever had about them relives in my mind, not very useful when you don't want to remember but, oh I'm sorry I'm rambling."

"Thank you for what you did." I stared at my hands carefully clasped together in my lap.

"You do remember, it's fine I understand not wanting to admit it. So how have been since you left there? I heard mostly everyone found great homes."

"I didn't, not until a few days ago when I came to this new place but it seems that I'm already leaving again."

"I'm sorry. So what are you?" She was awfully curious.

Should I tell anyone? Only Beau knows and that's one more than I ever wanted to know. Even though accepting the Siren my mother warned me it's not accepted by others. One of the most feared abilities to other sixth senses.

"Hey Paisley could you come here?" Beau called from the back of the bus, "It's important!" Thank you Beau for you're great timing.

"I have to help, he's blind." I made the quick excuse before hurrying away in a flash.

Walking through the various limbs hanging out of the seats I made my way to the back."You're welcome by the way." Beau smiled as I sat down.

"How did you know?" I was completely surprised at his words.

"You accepted yourself, the void that was there has filled in but it's different, strong. I can see an outline of you, and can I say that I was wrong about you being a beautiful Siren," (ouch), "that was an insult to the true beauty you are." He grabbed my hand, and once again my face flushed. Beau started laughing as the blush send my whole visage into a bright lobster red. "It doesn't take much to make you blush does it?"

"How can you tell? I thought I appeared only as a void to you." I tried to control the blush and the racing of my heart.

"When you accepted who you were your eyes changed, it's how it works for everyone. A beautiful royal blue color takes charge. Most believe that brown eyes came first because under the brown is blue, but if you know the story Adam and Eve they mingled with the others, that's why brown overlapped blue. Then there went a time when sixth senses made themselves invisible to anyone with brown eyes so it appeared to only be brown eyes, when the blue eyes came back it seemed like a mutation and no one remembered. Sixth senses were safe and remained in hiding ever since. Most sixth senses are born with blue eyes, and through acceptance the eye color changes to a royal blue. It shows a beauty but most end up using fake color contacts to cover them to stay safe. We may have accepted who we are but the outside world definitely haven't." Beau explained.

"All to do with eye color?"

"Yep, in the Salem witch trials there is said that girls claimed it to be certain people and made it up, but in reality some had found out about us and linked the eye color, that's what they were persecuting though no one would believe them. I was told once that the main person behind that was a sixth sense who was angry with all the others and wasn't taking it as her revenge. Who knows if that's even true, we have plenty of tales about being a sixth sense. With time you will get to learn them all."

"Like fairytales?"

"Somewhat, they're more like legends, not so much happily ever after." Beau smiled.

The rest of the bus started to silence as we seemed to slow down in speed. Everyone was looking out the windows expecting to see some extravagant shimmering building we would be living in for the rest of our lives, but all that was present was a small field with small houses in the distance. No road signs seemed to be in view but we could hear the whistle of a train not far away. Turning onto a new road there were a few small houses but nothing large, everything seemed so open, and rural.

A sharp right turn made many cling to the seats in front of them to stay seated, though few didn't succeed. A small sign reading Moonlit Boulevard welcomed as as the right side was crowded with houses of all colors cramped near lane of apartment houses. One the left side of the road stood a school, nothing spectacular and still under construction. Brown bricks lines every wall as half of the parking lot was still torn up and fences with large piles of dirt still laid as students exited buses that had circled in a U shape extension of the parking lot with two other connected schools waiting. I read the sign in the front of the school and it read Alrontu School District. This place didn't even seem big enough for the students walking in through to doors, how ever would it protect us, or even house anyone on the bus. "Excuse me, but is this the academy we all were forced to leave our happy lives for?" A snobby girl stood up looking disgusted at what stood before her.

It did seem small, but it also seemed nice. Sports fields to the left of the high school made over half the campus. It was a small school, maybe no more than one hundred students per grade but being through part of high school in New York City and the cramped environment with gangs and violence I left easily to be home schooled without a second thought. Maybe this would be a nice change. The bus doors opened and in walked a woman dressed in fancy dress clothes. She held her nose above all of us as she seemed to loathe even being in our presence. Her voice was so uptight as she ordered, "You know what to do, get rid of the unnecessaries." She clicked her heels as she walked off the bus hurriedly.

Everyone looked in fear at her words, Beau sitting next to me sank down in his seat in fear. He didn't have to say anything, we all knew what was coming as three men in complete black entered the bus with large rifles. Beau trembled as he held my arm, either he was holding me back from doing anything or he was scared that his blindness may mark him for being an unnecessary. He clung tightly digging his stubby nails into my arm. I held back any sort of sound as we all just watched the men who were now blocking the only exit of the bus.
