Chapter Twenty-One
A few weeks had past. Fae had training session after training session. Just when she thought she was done with it all, Eon broke the news to her of a possible education.
"What?!" Fae exclaimed in both confusion and frustration. Hadn't she been educated enough as a young Vee? Eon shook his head. "You need to pay close attention, Fae. If you had been, maybe you could have seen that Gothita as being who she was."
Fae grunted. Again, it was difficult to tell who was who in a world full of nice Pokémon. Of course, she wouldn't say that to her brother. He probably was doing this for her own good.
"Fine," she huffed, lifting her head to the sky. She wouldn't look at her brother.
She heard Eon sigh. But he didn't seem to comment on her sudden attitude. Eon signaled to her with his tail, nodding his head towards Hericius who was wearing glasses. The shiny seemed to be reading something.
And she's in a classroom. Great. To make it more of a school feel. Fae thought deadpanned. She took a deep breath. She really didn't want to do this. But it was for her brother's sanity. She approached the unaware Chespin with a smile. She could do this. If anyone could, she could. Learning new things that weren't moves was her greatness strength.
"Here you go. Hericius will also teach you some of the things your mother might have overlooked...or just misinformed you of. You'll be in here for five hours each and every day. I'm sorry, but I feel like this is for the best. We can always play later." Eon informed. He then rubbed his paws together as his tail wagged a bit. "He he he. Now time to go bug Churro with that joke Fergus told me earlier."
The Umbreon then slipped away, and Fae was left with the shiny Chespin once again. It seemed out of all the Pokémon in the Starter Squad, she was being left with the shiny Chespin. Not that she didn't mind. She adored the slightly taller, yet younger individual. She thought of her as a Pokémon who she could imagine being friends with even if they were going their separate ways.
The shiny Chespin didn't turn around. Fae approached her, reaching out with a paw. She wanted to let her know she was here.
"It's good to hear you, Fae," the shiny remarked, unmoving. How— "I've been waiting for you. Welcome to class." The shiny then turned around with a smirk, dramatically waving her paws around towards the classroom.
Fae wasn't amused as she deadpanned the younger monster. "Ah, I see it's going to take a lot to please you, my friend. Only the best lessons from your favorite shiny Chespin friend. Perhaps your only shiny Chespin friend?" Hericius joked lightly with a wink.
Fae rolled her eyes. Was this what the shiny was like normally? Or was she just joking around to lighten the mood and encourage Fae to have fun? Either way the shiny pointed at a seat and told her to sit down. Which she reluctantly did.
How long was this going to take?
This honestly was never the kind of adventure Fae was hoping for with her brother. What happened to running around and finding treasures or perhaps find new friends along the way—of course meeting Hericius was a treat as well. She just didn't think that this was much of an adventure. What part of learning meant adventuring anyhow?
Fae looked up at Hericius expectantly. What kind of lessons was she going to teach her anyhow? I bet I know everything. I know what kind of Pokémon most Pokémon are anyways. They're all divided into about eighteen types, right? Fae settled down and relaxed as Hericius began their one on one lesson.
"...And that's why Tentacruel are so angry half the time." Hericius finished.
Fae huffed in boredom.
Hericius winked. "Oh, and I sure need to tell you all about this Gallade's story." The shiny rambled. What kind of class was this? It didn't seem that informative to begin with. She was just rambling about random Pokémon.
She turned around to look at the exit, was it too late to leave?
"Oi! Eyes up front, Mrs. Fae!" Hericius exclaimed. Fae jerked her head back, continuing to listen to Hericius' lecture-like talk for the next five hours. Once she got out of the lesson, she felt like she left half of her brain cells in that same classroom.
She saw Eon waiting for her. He was pressing a big object with a paw. It looked like it was a human-sized phone. "How was class?" Eon asked her once she came closer to him. Fae huffed with an eye roll. "I don't think Hericius is teaching me anything valuable." She informed. "It is only the first day. Give it a bit. Don't quit now." Eon assured her with a gentle smile.
Fae sighed. She wasn't sure what use the class was, but sure. She would continue. Although it did seem to be a waste of her time. "Okay," she remarked in defeat as Eon signaled for her to follow him once again.
She followed her brother, wondering if she would ever be left alone now that she had been kidnapped. It made sense to have someone watch her, but she wanted space.
Together, the two approached a statue that they agreed upon to visit. It was a statue of a deity. Actually two. Fae didn't know the significance of either, but she knew that they were important to the creation of Poketown.
The statue they were standing of bore two wolf-like Pokémon. They both bore stoic appearances, seemingly not affected by the strange scar-looking markings on their bodies, sporting x-looking markings. However, their scars appeared different from one another's. One seemed to sport a scar that reminded Fae of a sword, and the other's seemed to stretch wider like it was protecting it—like a shield.
"Eon, do you know what these Pokémon are?" She wondered in curiosity. She remembered her mother once told her Pokémon who could live a long time—they lived longer than any other Pokémon—existed in this world, however it was unlikely they would show themselves as they'd either be in a long sleep-like state or would be somewhere unaccessible by a normal Pokémon.
The Umbreon smiled at her, putting some black shades on his face as the sun blared in their eyes. Fae squinted up at him. It was really sunny out.
"Those Pokémon? You don't know who they are?" He seemingly teased.
Fae shook her head.
"I would like to know their names please." She politely inquired. This made the Umbreon chuckle and shake his head.
"Their names are Zacian and Zamazenta. They helped us find Poketown years ago. They're legendary Pokémon of the Galar region who help humans and Pokémon alike." He explained.
Which is which, though? Fae wondered as she noticed the two looked pretty similar. They both had big claws. What made them different is one was more agile looking with a sword in their mouth. They seemed less brawn in comparison to the other one. Could the one with the sword be female?
The reddish one in color was muscular-looking, and the body was really weird. It appeared to be covered in shields, and seemed to have a mane that was a shield.
"We haven't seen them in a while, however. I myself never met them, and Paarthurnax has told me they rarely visit anymore. I wonder if they've gone back to their respective region? Anyways, I thought this would be a nice history lesson. This town isn't as old as you would think. But it still has much lore behind it's doors." Eon informed.
Huh. How old is this town exactly? It seems more modernized, and maybe it being a newer town is reason why.
"I think after you properly learn how to decipher things in school we will leave this town. However, I thought a history lesson would at least get your adventurous gears cranking." Eon continued as he began to back away from the statue of the two strange legends.
Fae nodded. She couldn't wait until then. She would finally be able to explore the unknown. She shivered.
The unknown seemed scary. But she was sure she could handle it after all, she was still alive.

The plan to get that Luxray was still in motion. They barely avoided the police—however Rau was missing. She must not have been stealthy enough to escape their evil clutches.
Skliros didn't notice because of his eyesight and his hearing told him Pokémon followed him in the escape.
She was a nuisance anyways. Skliros dismissed as he leaned over Kiumbe to stare at his notes. "Things going well?" He asked the Mewtwo with a curious smile.
The Mewtwo pushed him back. "Yes, Skliros. So far we've been trying to hatch more. I remember this one batch of eggs..."
"Good, good." Skliros interrupted before approaching Viola. "How about you, girl? Have you researched the habits of Luxray yet?" He asked her seriously. The female was quiet for a bit. "Oh, uhm, not yet. I've borrowed all the books I can from the library over in the Psychic Village. They were kind enough to suggest me to check out the Electroshock Ville Libraries as well. They don't have confidence they will know as much as those 'Nerdy Pikachu.'" Viola remarked. "They meant that mockingly."
Skliros nodded. Everything was now in play. But he also couldn't help in checking on the strange shiny Eevee who didn't fear him. She seemed to be studying legendaries.
