{Chapter 5} Weekdays

School is the worst. I don't care if you go to a school with nice super models that give you candy and do your homework. School will always suck. We have to wake up early and listen to teachers that are only there to make a paycheck. Then we have to keep doing that almost non-stop for more than half a year.

I got up and but on a pair of my black leather pants with my blue jean button down. I layered with a burgundy sweater over my blue jean shirt along with my dark brown booties. I was to lazy to do my hair so I left it down in its wild waves.

Everyone was still sleeping and the house was eerily quiet. I ate a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios and drove to school with Professional Griefers by Deadmau5 and Bulls in the Bronx by Pierce the Veil playing on full blast because their is nothing better than the screams of Rock singers on a Monday morning. It matches my mood perfectly.

Everyone looked as if they had partied to hard over the weekend. At this moment I wish I was a basic white girl that loved Starbucks because coffee sounds really good to me right about now. I walked along side the Monday zombies to my locker and got out my crappy supplies for my crappy first period class.

I swear math should have stayed in the head of whatever Neanderthal invented it. Just because that dumbo enjoyed his head being burst open with useless knowledge doesn't mean that the rest us will enjoy it as well.

On any other day my friends would have met me at my locker by now but I'm guesting that they either have a serious hang over or they finally learned to stay the fudge away from me on Monday mornings.

I stay at my locker a while longer to try and remember where my math class is. Usually I have my friends to remind me that life is happening and that I have to actually use my brain at such an ungodly hour but today I don't have that luxury.

People start to look more and more awake the closer I get to Math class. It seems as if the rumor mill has already started back up and I'm getting closer to the culprit.

"Bells!" I hear my best friend Diana call. As the late bell sounds. I give her a rushed hug and start to hurry towards math class.

"Wait, their is something I need to tell you first." She says desperately.

"We can talk after I am going to be late." I say before losing her in the crowd.

I walk in with my head low trying to guess the important thing that Diana needed to talk to me about. I sat down by the smartest kid in class which happened to be my other best friend Carly.

"I heard. Are you okay?" She says sympathetically.

"What are you talking about?" I reply.

She raises her eyebrow at me. "Either your playing dumb or Olivia didn't tell you."

"Tell me what?" I say agitated. Carly was cut of by the teacher entering the room.

"Hello, class I am your new math teacher, Mr. Micheals." I looked up the find a man writing his name on the board. When he turned around I gasped. That caught his attention but his face stayed stotic as if he already knew I was in his class.

"Is there something wrong?" He stated in a calm voice.

"May I go to the restroom?" I choked out breathlessly.

"You may." He said before continuing his lecture. I rush out of the room and into the restroom.

This can't be happening. Now I have to face my ex everyday for the rest of my senior year.

I roamed the hall for the remainder of first period feeling absoutley absolutely nothing. I didn't know how to feel. Immediately after I left the classroom I realized I should have just stayed and stopped acting like I'm a victim incapable of being mature but it was to late now.

Reaching my locker as the bell rung, I got my things for the next period. I only had one more period to go before I can leave. At times like these I am really glad I took extra classes in my lower grades because I am totally not in the mood to deal with people until three.

I went to my AP Human Geography class and suffered through it. After class I got my things for my homework and went to talk to Mr.Micheals.

I knocked on his door and he came to open it. He didn't have a period right now so I just slid in past him.

"I'm sorry for not coming back earlier. It was immature of me. I am also sorry for making a big scene before I left. Why didn't you tell me before?"

His face became the open book that I'm used to seeing instead of its hard shell.

"I know I should have told you but what was I supposed to say. Hey do you take Math? Well I'm going to be your new permanent teacher. Don't freak out to much about it. Its not like were ex's or anything." I rolled my eyes and laughed.

"How was the rest of your first period? They didn't treat you to badly did they?" I questioned.

"Nah. I was expecting spitballs and passing notes. Now all I have to worry about is people being too busy on their phones to pay attention." He smiled. It's the first smile that seemed genuine on him and I haven't seen that in a long time.

I guess I blanked out because before I knew it Theo was mere inches away from me with an intense look in his eyes.

"Tell me you didn't forget what we used to be." He demands. His voice smooth and lustful, sending shivers down my spine.

"What is there to remember." I stated seriously. Not a hint of rage in my voice. "Theo let's not talk about the past especially when we've just gotten on speaking terms." I reason. My heart beating wildly in my chest but my voice remains strong.

"Maybe we just need to start over. I apologize for hurting you and being unfaithful. That was in the past and I have changed. I can be the man you deserve. You just need to give me the chance."

"Seeing as I can't even trust the words you just said, I highly doubt that things will ever be the same between you and me." I remind him.

"Maybe we shouldn't be hoping that things will remain the same. We should be wishing for something different. Something that will last."
