After I had started spontaneously crying, Grillby ended his story and comforted me without moving, and luckily without waking, G. I wiped the tears best I could manage, inelegantly sucking snot and soaking my wrists in the process of hyperventilating. I'd never seen so much blood before. Ever. I never chopped anyone's head off either. Was that me? Is this the future I will myself stumbling into the longer I am here? Will I kill anyone...? The thought was too much to bare, and I sobbed more to it. Grillby desperately asked me what was wrong but I couldn't answer. I felt horrible for ignoring him, but what could I have said that wouldn't have made me sound crazy?

Once I had calmed down, Grillby informed me that Fuku was left alone at the bar and he had better go check on her, get back to work and what not. He double checked to be sure I was alright and left, kissing my hand gently and leaving me with the Skeleton brothers. He still hadn't answered my question from earlier.

Papyrus had tried his best to wake G, but the damn asshole didn't budge, if anything he just readjusted himself to nuzzle into the crook of my arm and stomach, one leg up and the limped one propped up on the arm of the couch. He had clung onto me by my hips and I seriously couldn't move without him holding my tighter, arms around me all the way. A blush quickly formed on my cheeks and I nearly smaked his drunkass in the face. But, me being smart for the first time since falling down here decided to leave him be to avoid being hit back. How humiliating...

Seeing how I couldn't fight it back, I ended up defeated by fatigue, G lying basically on top of me and forcing my legs go numb from not being able to move all night. I sleep surprisingly well to be honest. No Chara, no nightmares, and I almost enjoyed the sound of snoring in my lap. I only woke up once, and that's, while he stirred in his sleep.

It was dark in the living room, but I could faintly make out a yellow flame emitting from G's shut socket, more of little sparks. His brows were creased into an angry expression, jaw clenched and cold sweat forming over his forehead. He lied on his back, breathing hard. I pitied him. So much. The more he twisted and turned, jerking around the more pain it gave me. He was pretty much giving me bruises and scratching me all to hell without even trying to. Shoot.

I did my best to wake him up after thinking he was in a bad dream, but I couldn't. It wouldn't have mattered if I had or not because he jerked awake on his own, half awake anyways. Immediately his hands shot to his head, I'd imagine it was swimming. He was wasted afterall, I guess he was experiencing a hangover. I can't imagine how he'll feel later when he's fully up. His eyes shot around the room once opened, and they rested on me. I just stare, horrified that he'd lash out at me. But after a few seconds of silence his eyes flutter a bit, clearly still tired, and he scoots closer to me, nuzzling his head into my side and I guess falling back sleep. The whole time he his eyes were opened- Actually, they never shut, the lights in them were just out. As if they were night skies with dead stars. I was almost sad really. I was still reeling from what I had heard.

G had murdered his girlfriend. But not in cold blood... Brutally, yes, but not without feeling the suffering. I bet he didn't even want to do it. He must have been drowning in guilt, sorrow. I had always believed him to be violent and merciless, but... never have I imagined him stooping as low as to kill anyone. I begin to wonder what she was like, before she died I mean.

Was she kind? Sweet and witty maybe? What kind of person was she?

I then thought about the thing I had seen while Grillby was filling me in; That beheaded girl bleeding out in a patch of golden flowers.

I never killed anyone. I would remember. I'd for sure remember. No doubt about it. So...What was I seeing in those few horrific seconds?... God. I prayed that my theory was wrong. I prayed it wasn't the same torture he'd put her through all that time ago. I still pray. And I prayed until I fell asleep again. I prayed the best for him.

My heart aches with something strong and yearning.

But I can't tell if it's for him, or the late 'princess'.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The room is lit once more. I blink several times to get use to the sudden change in lighting. I yawn, stretching my arms over my head. At the same time I could feel G shifting, nose pressed against my stomach as he slowly wakes, iris coming slowly into view. Shit.
At first he doesn't respond, breathing softly and groaning.
"...What..Time is it?.." He mutters.
I hold my breath and ball my hands into fists, pushing down on the couch cushion and tensing, shoulders up and still. I feel my knuckles turn white and my nails dig into my palms. If I so much as make a peep I know I'm going to blush mad. My best option is to hope he's still wasted enough to forget this moment ever happened.
His eye is glowing fully now, wide and in a shocked state. Neither of us move or say a word but I can feel my face heating. I finally muster up the courage to look down and find myself meeting his gaze.
"G-Good morning..?" I whisper, feeling weak and insignificantly smaller in his conscious presence.
Immediately, G rolled onto his back and shot up, nearly falling off the coach while swinging his legs over the edge and standing.
I don't move. I just stay still and pray he doesn't say anything to tease me. I pray he isn't angry with me. Lips tightened, I can only let out small wisps of breath. Sharp pains skurry up my arms, and I half expect him to give me a dirty look. Well, he does, but when he turns to see me it looks more forced. Before he asks, I tell him "You were really gone and ended up landing on the couch before I could leave."
He scans me, no sign of emotion this time. Then, he just leaves. Not saying a word.
I feel something catch in my throat, daring me to scream. There was just something about the entire thing that made me feel queasy, and my heart rate only continued to skyrocket as time passed on that couch.
I couldn't tell if it was from wanting him to stay longer or if it was from the worry of him returning with yet another way reason to turn on me.
What the hell was wrong with us?
