Chapter 6
*G's POV*
I wake up to see her. Frisk. My sockets opened to darkness. I groaned a turned my skull.
There she was, across the room, sleeping peacefully. I sighed and sat up, getting out bed. I looked back over at her, noticing her shirt riding up and exposing her stomach. I walked over quietly and gently pulled down her black shirt.
As I turned to leave the room, a gentle, small hand grasped my wrist. My gaze shifts back over to the human, who watched me with tired eyes. "Where are you going?" She whispered.
I mentally swore at myself and sat down on the side of the bed. "Jus' goin' to get ready. We'd better head out today if we are gonna find ya' Guardian."
She nodded and sat up, sitting beside me. My sockets widened and my hand instinctively went to her shoulder. She turned and looked up at me, confused. "You don't have to get up with me, Doll."
She raised an eyebrow at me. "You expect me to sit in a dark, quiet room?" I thought about it. After dealing with the Weed, I don't think she'd like being on her own anymore. It made sense, she didn't want to get hurt again. I sighed and got up, Frisk following behind me.
When I opened the door, I was met with shocked eyes of Toriel. She gazed between me and Frisk, suddenly very weirded out. I turned to realize Frisk was still only wearing a shirt and her underwear while I had no shirt on. My sockets widened.
"Oh! No, it's not like that, Tori! We stayed away from each other, don't worry!" She took a sigh of relief and nodded, turning and walking away.
Frisk and I walked out of the room and towards the bathroom. It seemed we had the same idea. I chuckled and offered her to go first, but she argued and said she was fine and that I needed to put a shirt on. I could've argued back saying she needed pants, but I knew she was stubborn as hell. I entered the bathroom, saluting her and receiving an eye roll from the human.
As I turned on the hot water for the shower, I overheard Toriel scolding Frisk for not wearing pants to bed. I chuckled and slipped off my remaining clothing. I quickly showered and dressed in my now clean clothes from yesterday. I grabbed my cloak and boots and left the bathroom.
Walking down the hall, the familiar smell of butterscotch/cinnamon pie filled the house. I smirked and walked into the living room. Frisk was sat in the chair, curled up by the fire. She looked up at me, smiling slightly. "Hey."
I gave her a nod and sat down on the floor beside her. Noticing she was still in her sleepwear, I brought it up. "Aren't ya' gonna shower?"
She nodded. "I'm gonna wait for Toriel to be done cooking and then I'll go get ready." I nodded and looked into the fire.
Flames. I've never been fond of them. Sure, fire keeps us warm and cooks our food, but it also destroys. Flames are also described as a flicker of love or passion in someone. I hate it. I hate both fire and the thought of love.
There is no such thing as love, just desire.
I noticed Frisk shiver out of the corner of my socket. I turned, wondering how she could still be cold. "Ya' cold?"
She nodded slowly. "I'd be fine if I was fully clothed, but y'know."
I stared at her for a moment before standing up. She watched as I rolled out my cloak and wrapped it around her small body. "Oh, no! This is yours! I shouldn't take it-."
I interrupted her by putting up my hand in protest. "Jus' shut up and get warm." She sighed and nodded, curling up against my cloak. I sat back down and slipped on my boots, tying the laces. Toriel soon came in with slices of pie for us to eat.
When we finished with our meals, Frisk got up to go get dressed while I helped Tori wash off the dishes. She thanked me and told me to go sit. I sat in her chair as she finished cleaning and then walked over to my side.
She smiled sadly down at me and gently patted my shoulder. "Despite her not being your Vigilant, protect the child and guide her to Asgore, will you not?" I sighed and nodded.
"Of course, m'lady. She may be a pain in the butt but I will keep her safe until her Guardian surfaces."
She gave me a nod in gratitude as I did the same. Toriel suddenly perked up, remembering something and running into the kitchen. I shrugged and stood up, putting on my cloak. She soon came back with a bag with water and two more slices of pie. I smiled down at her and gently gave her a kiss on the cheek. She smiled and hugged me gently.
"Be careful, my child."
"I will Tori, don't worry."
We parted from our hug as a door slammed. I looked around urgently for where it could have come from. Then it popped in my head.
Frisk.
I ran from room to room, swearing under my breath as she was nowhere to be seen. She must've ran out towards Snowdin. I yelled a goodbye to Toriel as I ran down the dark hallway towards the forest. She wouldn't survive the conditions outside that door alone.
Swiftly, I pushed open the door and looked out at the dark yet beautiful forest ahead.
That, and a monster pinning the human to a tree.
