Chapter 25

Here it is, chapter 25! Hope you enjoy it!

Freddy felt numb for who knows how long, but soon felt the feeling on his back (plus arms, legs and tail) of metal as he felt his mouth open a smidge, letting out an audible groan as his eyes opened a bit then closed and opened again. His mind was nothing but fuzzy and black as he saw the roof of glass with bright white lights on above him. He sniffed the air, smelling Flasheart and the others, his tail wagging as his mind was suddenly awakened with a jolt as the memories of everything that had happened since he'd been picked up by Cherry in the Weren city and taken to Hotspur, which he then realised that felt like it was years ago. He shook his left and right in a flurry, before he then moved his upper body upwards and saw he was in the far right hand side corner of the box, saw Flasheart was sitting in the far left corner, the others rubbing their heads and  awakening as well. "How long have we been out?" Harry asked as he slowly got up on his feet. "A couple of hours. I awoke just after they rolled us in here. I decided to let you wake up on your own time." Flasheart answered as he gestured around the room, the others looking around to see they were in a dark bare room, the only lights being those of the door and the box, and a hologram to the left of the box which only showed fuzzy.

Jai looked at the hologram. "Did that show anything?" He asked curiously. "A load of transmissions and radio reports. With satellites down, the governments of the world are resorting to short wave radios to communicate." Flasheart explained as he glanced rightwards at the hologram. "What's it like down there?" Sara asked. Down below, there was chaos. The cloud cover of the storm were big enough to cover entire countries, most of the USA, Europe, and much of Asia. Lighting storms were hopping all over the world, followed by snowfall, which was falling down rapidly, especially in Europe and America. The wind blew blisteringly fast whilst temperatures plummeted. Clusters of tornadoes ravaged towns, farms, and cities all over. New York, Tokyo, Rio and Sydney were struck by tsunamis as well as receiving snow. It was raining in Mecca and Baghdad. Birmingham, Atlanta, Shanghai, Cape Town were suffering heavily in the lighting and wind. All over the world, people were trying to get to wherever they felt they'd be safer, even choosing run/drive across borders, the guards just sitting back. Because of the cloud cover and turbulence, all flights and aircraft were ground, Air Force One having to land in Iceland, with the President in communication with the Washington and Pentagon by radio at the US Embassy. He was informed that Mexico had offered to open its border to any American's hopping to evacuate the chaos, with any demands. The President, inspired by Freddy's speech, agreed to the offer. NASA informed him that the International Space Station was running on its backup systems, and its orbit was still intact, but all other satellites in orbit were offline. China made a deal with the rest of Southeast Asia to forgive their debt in exchange for allowing their helicopters evacuate the coast, which was a good thing as the water was at risk of flooding. The world navies were being ordered to stop and hold position, in case they'd be needed to help with evacuations as well as preparation for search and rescue. In Brazil, Africa and Asia and Australia reports were coming in of deforested regions being regrown in a matter of hours. Hurricanes were reaching the Caribbean and the southern US. In the UK, the Prime Minister was in the COBR (Cabinet Office Briefing Rooms) with his cabinet trying to get some organisation. The waters on the coast were getting bad, so flooding was a risk, and the snowfall was hampering things, slowing traffic with temperatures dropping. In the worlds active volcanos, there was some slight pushing which was growing by the minute, and eruptions were expected to happen in a few hours.

Meanwhile, back in the main chamber, Hotspur and Ric were staring down at the Earth, the sky now filled with massive clouds. They stood rigid still, but on their faces, especially Hotspur, showed enjoyment. But behind them there were some murmuring among the crew (minus the dozen soldiers around the Center of the room). Captain Garth looked leftwards at Cherry, who shrugged at him gestured at Hotspur. Garth then took a deep breath and stepped towards Hotspur and Ric, coming up on Hotspur's right. "Grand Growler." He addressed Hotspur in Weren as he came upon them, Hotspur just glancing briefly at him. "Might it be prudent to ask as to whether this is the right course of action?" He asked nervously. "Are you questioning the decision of the Grand Growler, Captain?" Ric asked as he looked rightwards at him. "No, no, no! It's just... from where I stand, these Fangen have done nothing against us, so... maybe this is too aggressive?" Garth explained tensely, his fingers fidgeting as Hotspur moved his head leftwards to stare at him. "You don't know this species like I do! And if you know what's good for you, Captain, you'll shut your muzzle!" Hotspur snarled at him, causing Garth to take a step back. "With respect, Sir's, this doesn't seem very honourable." Garth pointed out, choosing to hold his ground. "Honourable? Honourable?! Honour is dead! Decadent! Obsolete! Obedience is how the Weren race stand now!" Hotspur growled at him, whilst the rest of the crew behind them heard this they gasped and began muttering more intensely. "I'll be in my quarters. Alert me when the volcanos begin erupting. Now that I'd like to see." Hotspur spoke with a giddy smile as he turned rightwards and walked towards the doors, Ric following after him. The doors opened as he approached them, just suddenly they then slammed shut. "Hey! Why did the doors just shut on me?" Hotspur barked out in annoyance as he looked over his left shoulder to see Cherry standing by the control panel.

"Open the doors, Lieutenant." Hotspur ordered as Cheery stared at her nervously. She then looked ahead at the control panel, then looked downwards and let out a sign. "No, I won't." She spoke before she grew out her small gun in her left hand and aimed it at Hotspur, who jolted in surprise, Ric rushing to him and stood in front of him protectively, dropping his baton and holding out his gun in his left hand as they noticed the rest of the Weren crew, who were gathering around the viewport in a group, also pulling out their guns at Hotspur, aiming at him, the soldiers around in the middle of the chamber  standing where they stood looking at the two formations. "What are you doing!?" Hotspur roared at the crew. "This is not our way!" Garth exclaimed back, holding out his gun in his left hand. "Traitors!" Hotspur screamed out. "The only traitor's here are you two! And I think Freddy was right about you and the Ring for it's not glowing brightly on you" Cherry replied, which caused Hotspur to look at his finger to see the Ring was no longer on his finger. "Soldiers! Defend your Grand Growler!" Ric ordered the soldiers who stood in between him, Hotspur and the crew. "You have a choice, Clones! You can follow the orders of these dishonourable... traitors. Or you can stand by us, as true Weren!" Garth said back at the soldiers, who began looking backwards and forwards at the two groups. "Soldiers! I command you!" Ric yelled back at the soldiers. Some of them kept looking back and forth for a few seconds before half of the ran over to the crew, whilst the other half stood with Hotspur and Ric, al, pointing their guns at each other. Silence then filled the room as all the Werens present held out their guns at each other. Suddenly Ric then fired a shot, killing one of the crew, which set off pandemonium, everyone else shooting at the other side, killing several solders and the crew.

As the back and forth firing went on around him, Hotspur then looked rightwards, saw the control panel, snatched Ric's gun out of his hand, and fired at shot at the panel, letting out sparks as the doors opened behind them. Hotspur looked over his left shoulder and grinned as he and the rest of his group stepped back a few feet whist continuing to fire, then when they came upon the doors, they ran off down the right hand side corridor. Unbeknownst to them, the Ring of the moon had slipped off Hotspur's finger when he caught his hand on the door as he ran past it, and it felt to the floor. Some shots were fired as they went around the corner but the shooting stopped once they were all out. "Should we go after them, Captain?" Cherry asked, looking leftwards at him. "No! Cherry, take some of us and muster the rest of the crew! Secure the ship! The rest of you, come with me!" Garth ordered sharply before Cherry led some of those present out of the chamber and to the left hand side corridor whilst Garth then briskly led the rest down the corridor.

Meanwhile, in the dark room, Freddy and the others were sitting around quietly in the box, starting to get bored, especially Paul as he started whistling badly then humming. Jai tried to ignore it as narrowed his eyes as he felt something under his legs where he sat, moved his right hand under his trousers, scurried around for a moment then picked something up. He pulled his hand out to reveal the Ring of the Moon in his fingers. He stared at it for a few seconds then heard the sound of the doors opening, which jolted him as he clenched his hand into a fist, covering the ring. He looked over his right shoulder as he put in the ring in his pocket, the others looking towards the doors to see Garth and a few other Werens enter the room, the lights on the ceiling coming on, bathing the rest of the room with light as they approached the box. "Come to take us home, have you?" Sara asked coldly as she sat crossed legged with folded arms. "May the Moon shine upon you, wise and honourable ones, Freddy and Flasheart. We are yours to command." Garth spoke as he bowed, the others behind him slowly doing so after him. Freddy's eyes widened as Garth then stepped up to the cage. "Masks on!" Garth called out as he opened the door of the cage, Humans within scrambling their masks on.

And that's chapter 25 done! Hope you enjoyed it! Please leave a vote!

At first, I thought about a small paragraph of Flasheart explaining it, but then I thought, why write it when I can show it, or something along those lines.
