Chapter 10
Phil's pov
Sitting there eating with the ebony haired boy couldn't help but fill my mind with utter joy. Just the mere presence of him made my heart flutter. I know this seems very sudden and quick. But I believe in love at first sight. Although I've known myself to be bi for the last few years, I had never had experienced anything with a guy until now.
He seemed everything but uncertain to me. As if his head was producing the same stream of thoughts that I was in that moment. That this was meant to happen. And it will be good for the both of us.
After we had finished eating, we talked about everything. From childhood, to favorite movies and television shows, to the randomer topics like why grass is so fun to throw. I couldn't imagine a day going any better. Although I seemed in an unlucky situation at first sight, I realized it was not an act of aggression, but he was merely starving and needed to feast. I didn't mind it, as long as I didn't become one of them bloodsuckers myself.
I wanted the day to continue on for ages but the cafe was closing and we had to be leaving. After paying, we stood up and walked into the deep night of London. It was a quiet part of the city, somewhat rural but still noticeably urban. I had my hands in my jacket until I felt a tug at my sleeve. Dan had a sheepish smile on his face and held out his hand. He wanted to hold my hand. Trying to hide me becoming flustered, I quickly linked hands with him and allowed myself to succumb to his soft skin. It was cold, not going to lie. But you can't blame him for being dead. But it was the soothing kind of cold. That numbness that reminds you that you're alive.
