Serafina's surfboard^

I heard the front door open and then close. "I'm home come get your crap!" My dad yelled and I laughed quietly.

I walked out and to the van. I grabbed my two suitcases and slung my three duffle bags onto my shoulders. "Why don't you take two trips?" Amber asked me. "Meh I like to get things done." I said and she gave me a look of 'what's that supposed to mean?'

I put my stuff down when I reached my room and then I raced back outside. I reached the van and started to unstrap my surfboard from the van.

I got it down and carefully brought it inside to my room. I set it up against a corner and then closed the door. I walked to my closet and started to unpack my clothes from warm to cold weather clothes.

I got out my toiletries and brought them to the bathroom that was across from my room. Amber had an ensuite.

I carefully organized my makeup stuff on the vanity but left space for other things.

I looked around my room and smiled to myself. I had unpacked everything. It was only I looked to the small clock on my vanity and I read 4:15.

I smiled to myself and walked over to my small dresser and opened my swimsuit drawer.

After looking at myself in the mirror I grabbed a pair of shorts and a tank top from my closet and slung them over my body. I went to the kitchen and grabbed a water bottle and filled it.

"Hey dad!" I yelled. "What!" He yelled back. "I'm going down to the beach to practice surfing I've got tryouts on Monday after school." I yelled. "Ask your sister if she wants to go!" He yelled. "Kay!" I shouted and walked to Amber's room.

"Knock knock." I said and Amber looked up from her magazine. "I'm going down to the beach, care to join?" I asked. "Sure let me get my suit." She said and I shut her door.

Amber's suit~

I grabbed my water bottle and surf chalk and put it in a small beach bag along with a towel and sunscreen. I slipped my flip flops on. "Let me get the beach bag so I can put my towel in it and carry it." Amber said and I handed it to her.

"Ready to go S?" She asked me. "Yup let me grab my board." I smiled and she walked out to the back patio.

I grabbed my board and carefully got it through both doors. "Let's go Amber." I smile and we walked down the boardwalk.

We left our flip flops on the last step and walked to an area that was open. Amber set her towel down on the sand and grabbed the spray sunscreen and sprayed me down and then I did her. "Do good out their okay." Amber said as I finished rubbing in the sunscreen on my face. "I always do good." I replied with a smile.

I set my towel down and sat down with my board on my lap. "Chalk please." I said and Amber slapped the bag into my hand.

I started to rub it onto the surface where I was to stand. I strapped the Velcro to my ankle and stood up with my surfboard in hand.

"See you later A." I smiled and she saluted to me. I ran to the edge of the water and into the water. It was warm at this time.

I was in thigh deep when I set my board down and laid on top of it. I started paddling outwards. A wave approached me and I grabbed the sides of my board and pushed down and under the wave.

After going doing a bunch of duck diving I finally made it. I sat up on my board and casually watched the waves behind me.

A smile grew on my face when a huge wave came in. I laid back down and started to paddle quickly.

I felt the wave behind me and I stood up and swerved with the wave. I swerved and did a bottom turn. I made a carve and then did a cutback at the top of the wave. I did a snap and sprayed water everywhere.

I did a tail slide and then snapped again. I made a carve and then did a 360 in the air, landing on the wave and ducking into a tube ride. I was under the wave and I skimmed my hand across the water as I flew on the water.

I reached the end and did a superman. I grabbed the rails and reconnected my feet with board before I landed.

A smile came across my face. I was just standing on my board now in the stillness of the water. I jumped off landed on the sand. I walked my board to the shore. I picked it up and jogged over to Amber who was clapping like a mad woman.

"Ahh that was amazing Fina! That 360 was so graceful and gorgeous!" She smiled and stood up. "Thanks Amb. We should head back for dinner." I said she started putting our stuff away.

"Are you excited for volleyball tryouts?" I asked her once we were on the boardwalk. "Heck yeah! Are you excited for surf tryouts?" She asked me. "Of course surfing is my life." I smiled.

We reached the house and I set my board up against the wall outside. "We're home!" Amber yelled once I was inside. "Dinner will be ready in five minutes!" Dad shouted and we dropped our stuff off in our rooms before heading to the kitchen.

"What's cooking paps." I said sitting down on the counter chair. "Angel chicken pasta, and a salad." Dad said and placed two steaming plates down in front of us and then the salads.

After the amazing food

I grabbed my pajama shorts and tank top, before heading into my bathroom. I turned the shower on and undressed before stepping in and letting the warm water soothe my body.

It was a quick shower but it was nice. My hair now smelled like coconut and hibiscus flowers. I dressed and walked back to my room.

I pulled back the covers and shimmied under. "Goodnight A." I said. "Night S." She replied and I closed my eyes.

I hope I make the tryouts on Monday...
