¥ Skeleton In The Closet ¥

'WE MUST FIGHT OR WE WILL LOSE EVERYTHING WE WORKED FOR.'

I do not own Legend of Korra or the Last Airbender, all credit goes to the people who made the two happen. I only own Kanna and the things I make up along the way. Most of the script comes from the person who created it. Descriptions come from the show I've watched and the things I've read.

Kanna Kya

In an underground hideaway, benders and non-benders are living harmoniously to avoid the wrath of Amon. People are sitting around talking in small clumps of people, children are running around playing games, the elderly are cooking meals and Team Avatar were helping where they could. Asami and Bolin are relaxing on top of boxes while letting Pabu perform for a few kids as they wait for Korra and Mako to come back from their recon mission. Kanna is a few feet away from them where she has a dozen young children at her feet, staring eagerly up at her.

"Hello my young waterbenders. Are you ready for today's lesson?" Kanna smiles at their excited nods. "Water bending is all about versatility. A mark of a true water bender master is the ability to transform water and control it in different phases. Today we will be focusing on turning our water into ice." Kanna slowly forms a water stream and swirls it around the children before turning it into ice. The children awe and reach up to touch the ice. "It takes a bit to be able to transform water, but I have hope in all of you." She slaps her hands together and the ice transform back into water, falling onto the kids. She giggles at their annoyed, soaking figures. "You can use the water on you." She says with a smile. The children grumble before getting to their feet and slowly bending the water off of them to create a small stream. She watches as they focus on turning it into ice.

"Kanna!" She turns around to see someone she has not seen in a while.

"Kai?" She calls out in surprise, grinning and welcoming his hug. "How have you been?" They release one another.

"I've definitely been better." The two chuckle. "How have you been? I heard you got captured by Amon." He expresses his worry for her well-being.

"Oh, no. Tarrlok was the one that actually captured Korra and me. Amon found us and we were able to escape when he was distracted by Tarrlok." Kanna quickly explains, shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly at his gaping face at the news.

"What are you guys planning on doing?" He gestures to the two members of Team Avatar behind her. Kanna glances over her shoulder to see the two staring at them. Asami has a small smirk on her face while Bolin is glaring daggers at Kai.

"General Iroh should be arriving soon with his fleet. When he does, we'll be able to fight and take back Republic City." Kanna states.

"Do you think we'll be able to take back the city?" Kai questions, fear present in his eyes.

"Yes, I do." She reaches over and squeezes his shoulder in reassurance.

"Mentor Kanna! I did it!" She quickly turns to see one of the children, Yuki, spinning around a ball of ice.

"Good job," Kanna praises her. "Now turn it back into water and do it again until you can perform the action in a minute." Yuki groans before doing as she is told.

"Aren't you being a little harsh?" Kai inquiries, cocking an eyebrow. "They're just kids."

"Kids in the middle of a war." Kanna shots back. "I would rather them now how to fight and protect themselves then let them die." Kai nods his head in understanding yet warily eyes the kids. He glances down at the watch on his wrist and groans.

"It was nice seeing you again, but I have to go help cook." He smiles at her. "See you later, Kanna."

"Bye Kai." She waves goodbye to him as he walks away. Asami creeps up next to her and throws an arm around her waist.

"So, Kai?" She teasingly asks.

"Sod off," Kanna scoffs and pushes Asami away from her. Asami giggles as Kanna goes back to teaching the children.

Republic Ciry is overrun with Equalist airships and mecha tank. In front of city hall is Hiroshi Sato who is standing on the front steps, addressing a large crowd. "It is a glorious day, my Equalist brothers and sisters! Amon has torn down the tyrannical bending government! He has declared bending illegal, and he has the Avatar on the run. Our great leader has a vision for the future. One day soon, bending will no longer exist and we will live in a world where everyone is finally equal! The United Forces are on their way right now to try and stop that dream. But we will prevail!" The crowd cheers loudly in response. Near the back, two chi blockers look at each other, one male, the other female, before they turn and walk away. They push aside a clump of bushes in Republic City Park and enter a small clearing with a large rock in the center. One earthbends the rock aside, revealing a hole, and both jump inside as the rock slides back over. The chi blockers, who have removed their masks and revealed themselves to be Korra and Mako, walking down a dim hallway.

"Can you believe Hiroshi?! "The Avatar's on the run". I'm not running from anyone! Let's go back up there and knock some heads; they'll never know what hit 'em." Korra angrily turns to go back to do that.

"Relax. General Iroh's coming with an entire fleet of battleships. Then Amon will be the one who's running." Mako tells her.

"I hate this "being patient" stuff."

Korra groans. Both turn and walk on to where the settlement is. They see Asami and Bolin, who are sitting on crates. Asami is watching in amusement as Bolin plays with Pabu since the children from earlier left to go eat. She glares as she hears Korra and Mako approaching, before she and Bolin stand up and walk over to greet them.

"You two were gone for a while." Asami suspiciously says.

"We were doing reconnaissance." Mako says, a look of annoyance on his face.

"Whatever." Asami irritability looks away and crosses her arms.

"Where's Kanna?" Korra asks, looking around for her.

"Over there," Bolin points to the left and Korra glances in that direction to see Kanna still teaching one child water bending. A gentle smile comes to Korra's face, watching Kanna laugh happily when the kid accidentally drenches her in water. She goes to head that way when Gommu appears.

"Welcome back! Hope you worked up an appetite, 'cause dinner is served." The group head over to where he serves food and sit dowm. They watch Gommu stir a pot of stew and pouring some into a dish.

"Thanks so much for letting us hide out with you the past few days." Korra says in appreciation before whistling which catches Kanna's attention. She says goodbye to the kid and heads over to the table where Team Avatar sits.

"Hey, Korra. Hey, Mako. Hello Gommu, that smell amazing." Kanna greets everyone, sitting down next to Bolin. Mako and Asami hold bowls of stew as Gommu hands one to Korra.

"Honored to oblige." Gommu says to Korra before giving a bowl to Bolin and fills it with stew. He then does the same with Kanna. "My associates and I heartily oppose Amon's so-called "Equalist" policies. We got benders and nonbenders living together down here, but do you see us fightin'?" Gommu wraps his arms around himself. "No siree; we've figured out how to harmoniously co-exist."

"You are a wise and noble hobo." Bolin states and eats some stew. "Mmmm. This is the best-tasting street gruel I've ever had. Seriously!" Kanna nods her head in agreement, slurping her stew down.

"I culled it from the finest dumpsters the city has to offer!" Gommu proudly tells them. Kanna freezes when she realizes this is trash food. She swallows the last bite and turns to give the rest to Lee. Asami has a similar reaction to the news. Her eyes close and open with small beady eyes as the top half of her face turns green. She spits the food back into the bowl and coughs. She surreptitiously puts the food on the floor behind her. Pabu crawls up behind her and eats from the bowl. Asami and Kanna exchange a glance before emitting low laughs.

"Maybe we should start cooking." Kanna whispers.

"Yeah we should." Asami agrees.

Korra is sitting next to Naga. She hears footsteps and sees Mako walking toward her. "Can't sleep either?" Mako asks.

"No, I have this awful pit in my stomach." Korra tells him. Mako sits next to her.

"Me too." Mako sighs.

"It's so crazy. A few months ago I was in the South Pole practicing for my firebending test," Korra's happy tone turns to one of sadness, "and now I'm in the middle of an all-out war."

"I know, we didn't even know each other then. And now, I can't imagine my life without you in it." He looks at Korra's surprised face. "You're the most loyal, brave, and selfless person I've ever known." Kanna is walking by and pauses, overbearing their conversation. She furrows her eyebrows and thinks about Asami.

"I think you're pretty incredible too, but ... you already knew that." Korra blushes. Mako and Korra look at each other and Kanna gasps, seeing Mako lean in for a kiss, but Korra looks away abruptly. "I should probably try to get some sleep."

"Me too. Good night." Mako gets up and walks away.

"Good night." Kanna waits until Mako is out of Korra's eye sight before grabbing hun and dragging him to where a sleeping Asami lays. Her grip tightens on his shirt as she yanks him down to her eye level.

"You have a girlfriend." She hisses angrily. "Don't you dare hit on other girls, kiss other girls or even think about other girls. I've spent days assuring her that nothing is going on between you and Korea yet I just witnessed you trying to kiss her. Either break up with her if you can't stay loyal or change your act." She pushes him towards Asami and heads back over to where Korra is. She sees Korra sleeping on Naga's side and sighs. "Oh, Korra. What am I gonna do with you?" She lays beside Korra, cuddling into Naga's fur and slowly falling asleep.

Amon is waiting on a platform as the Lieutenant drags a blindfolded man up to him. The man is forced to his knees and has his blindfold removed as Amon approaches. "You will now be cleansed of your impurity." He stands behind the man, who watches with fear, and removes the man's bending; the policeman collapses and falls over from exhaustion. He turns to the Lieutenant. "Next." The Lieutenant nods and walks over to get the next victim, revealing a long line of benders, blindfolded and hands bounded, including the White Lotus sentries, waiting for Amon to strip them of their bending.

The next morning, Team Avatar is hiding in the drainage pipe. Mako steps out and beckons to the other, "coast is clear." He says. The four run out of the pipe and climb an access stairway to an observation deck above. They crouch by the railing as Bolin scans the bay with a telescope.

"Once the United Forces arrive, we need to be ready to help in any way we can." Korra says.

"They're here!" Mako exclaims.

Bolin gasps and places the telescope to his eye again. "Whoops!" He flips the telescope around. Through the telescope view, Bolin catches sight of a dim shape through the mist.

The battleships steam into the harbor, and General Iroh is at the head of one. "Hmm ... Amon had to know we were coming. So why aren't we meeting any resistance?" Iroh wonders.

"Wait a second ... where are the Equalist airships?" Korra asks. Mako snatches the telescope from his brother and runs to the end of the deck, scanning the city.

"I don't see any mecha tanks, either." Mako turns to look at Korra in concern who looks back the same way.

Water beneath one of the battleships start to bubble and an underwater mine are floating up. "Something's not right." Iroh says just as an explosion on a nearby ship interrupts him, followed by more blasts as mines float up. "It's a trick!" Kanna's eyes widen at the explosions and she launches herself into the water, Korra close behind her.

"Water and earthbenders, detonate those mines!" Iroh says into a speaker and pulls back from it. "What is that sound?" Iroh runs out of the control room and on deck, where a buzzing sound can be heard in the sky. Kanna and Korra surface next to each other, exchanging confused glances and looking up.

"What now?" Mako groans. Behind the skyscrapers, a group of flying objects can be seen in the mist, which resolve themselves into two fleets of biplanes.

"Where does Hiroshi find the time to keep inventing new evil machines?!" Bolin asks in disbelief. The planes fly across the bay, and Hiroshi Sato is piloting one. He pulls a lever and bombs were drop from the underside. Ships are bombarded, causing major damage on board. One plane drops down two torpedoes and Kanna quickly grabs Korra and dodges them only for them to hit the side of a ship. The explosion forces the two back but they swims to the ship again. More planes drop down torpedoes to hit their targets.

"Incoming!" The explosion forces the sailors up in the air. A plane dives in to attack, but firebenders firebend into the cannons and shoot the planes. Kanna emerges from the underwater and she looks at the planes, while they destroy the remaining ships. An earthbender tries to bring them down but he is forced back by the bombing. Planes fly around until one gets hit with firebending, forcing the pilot to eject. Iroh and two other firebenders use their bending to take down the planes, successfully hitting one. Kanna gestures for Korra to follow her lead and they dive deep into the water, both waterbend a massive waterspout, and burst out of the water in them. They bend out a large ice spikes to take the planes down. However, one damaged plane hits the waterspout Kanna is in and she falls into the water where she sees a torpedo coming towards her. She quickly bends it around into the air with a water stream and hits another plane with it. She emerges once more, coughing a little bit.

"Are you okay?" Korra shouts from her watersprout, still trying to take down the last few planes.

"I'm good!" Kanna shouts back in reply and swims to the closest ship.

Iroh comes up from the hatch to firebend the remaining planes, taking them down one by one but the last plane drops a bomb in front of him. He uses firebending to shield himself, but the explosion causes him to fall into the water, unconscious.

Kanna notices the male figure falling to the bottom of the water with his clothes all ripped up. She quickly swims over, grabbing him and taking him to the surface.

"It's all right, I've got you." Kanna says in assurance while holding the man. She sees Korra take down a plane that nails her waterspout like what happened to her and falls into the water.

"Protector Kanna? You saved my life. Thank you." Kanna realizes the man she saved is General Iroh and smiles at him.

"It's my duty to protect people." She jokes as Korra joins them.

"I can't take anymore planes down. We have to go." She pants with a shake of her head. Kanna nods and the two girls use their bending to push them towards the shore, away from the wreckage.

In their hideout, Kanna uses her healing abilities on Iroh's wound as everyone stands around them.

"I was prepared to deal with Sato's mecha tanks, but not these new high-speed aircraft." Iroh says.

"I know." Korra sighs as Kanna moves the water near Iroh's wound. "Every time we think we have an advantage, Amon outsmarts us."

"No matter what our plan is, he always has a better one." Bolin expresses.

"Amon is winning so far," Iroh lifts his head, "but we're not out of the fight yet." Kanna smiles at his determination.

"No, we're certainly not." She quietly agrees and she sees him glance at her from the side of his eye.

"I like this man's confidence! So, how are we not out of the fight?" Bolin happily asks. Iroh locks eyes with Kanna and gestures to the water. She gets the hint and removes it as he stands up, clutching his wound.

"A second wave of reinforcements is on the way, but I need to warn them." He turns to Korra. "Do you still have a way to get a message out?"

"I know just the man for the job." Korra says with a smirk.

Gommu sets up a telegraph machine while Iroh and Team Avatar stand behind him. "And who is the recipient of this top secret message?" He inquiries, looking at Iroh.

"Commander Bumi." Iroh replies and Gommu cracks his fingers. Kanna perks up at the familiar name, a grin overcoming her face. "Second division of the United Forces."

"Tenzin's brother?" Korra asks.

"My cousin!" Kanna cheers, clapping her hands happily.

"Yes, bit of a wild man, but the bravest commander you'll ever meet." Iroh states.

"Wild is an understatement. I can't wait for you to meet him, Korra. You guys are going to get along so well." Kanna gushes and clings onto Korra's arm. Korra laughs at how happy Kanna is at the fact they'll be seeing her cousin hopefully soon.

"Ready, sir." Gommu taps out the telegram as Iroh speaks.

"Fleet ambushed and destroyed by Equalist aircraft. Retreat to Red Sand Island until my signal. Do not approach city until you receive the all clear." Iroh says as Gommu finishes the telegram. "Now comes the hard part. We need to ground those aircrafts. Otherwise, Bumi's fleet would never be able to retake the city." Iroh comments, swiping his hand across the map in front of them. Kanna leans over his shoulder to get a closer look at the map.

"I think they came from this direction." Kanna informs them, pointing at a spot on the lower right of the map.

"They did flew in from that direction. The airfield must be somewhere over this mountain range." Mako agrees, pointing at the mountains close to where he saw the airplanes.

"Everyone get ready, we leave at dawn." Iroh stands up and tells the group. Everyone leaves the room, but Asami who lingers for a moment.

"It's time to take down my father." She bitterly says and catches up with them. As the group walks out, Korra lingers by the doorway.

"Wait, I'm sorry, but I'm not going with you tomorrow." Korra says, trying to not look at Kanna.

"What?" Mako exclaims.

"Like hell you're not!" Kanna curses.

"Why not?" Asami asks.

"I'm sick and tired of hiding from Amon. It's time I face him." Korra says. Kanna shakes her head in disbelief.

"That's not a good plan. We need to stick together." Iroh argues against the idea while taking a step forward. Kanna nods in agreement, folding her arms in anger.

"I'm not waiting for him to hunt me down. My guts tell me it's time to end this, on my terms." Korra states.

"Korra, this is not a mission you should be handling alone." Iroh says. Kanna immediately goes to walk towards Korra when Mako grabs her arm. He shakes his head and pushes her back towards the group.

"She won't be." He says and walks up to Korra. Kanna and Asami have a look of surprise on their faces. "I'm going with you."

"You don't have to do that." Korra worriedly says.

"Yes, I do." Mako argues.

"No, you don't." Kanna angrily tells him, stalking towards the two. "You have a girlfriend," she points at Asami, "that you should stay with and I'll go with Korra since that's my job as her protector." She leans closer to Mako and whispers in a deadly tone. "What you decide right now, is your choice, Mako. Asami or Korra." She leans back and watches the expression on his face flicker before he glances at Korra. "I'm still coming with you two."

"No," Mako shakes his head, "they'll need a water bender on their side. Korra and I have got this covered. Besides, Amon wants you and what if you get captured again? Your spy plan won't work this time, he'll kill you."

"Korra, tell this douche that he's going with them and I'm going with you." Kanna angrily demands. There's a moment of silence and Kanna looks over at Korra. "Korra?"

"I think Mako is right, they'll need you more than I do." Korra walks towards Kanna and whispers, "they might need your blood bending." Kanna stumbles back in shock, her eyes wide as she stares at Korra and Mako. A feeling of betrayal fills her core, how dare she? Kanna grits her teeth together and goes to argue, but a hand placed itself on her arm. She glances to see Iroh is the one who grabbed her.

"My grandfather would respect the Avatar's instinct. So will I." He locks eyes with Kanna. "And so should we all." Kanna scoffs, yanking her arm out of his grip and stomps away. She emits a scream and water bends ice figures of Mako and Korra before decapitating the heads off. She slowly inhales and exhales while closing her eyes. After the anger fades away, she spins on her heels to face the shocked group. Mako and Korra are staring at the headless ice figures in horror. Bolin shakily reaches his hand up to touch the base of his neck, muttering incoherent sentences to himself.

"Fine, we'll do it Korra's way. But I swear, if she gets hurt or kidnapped or her bending is taken away, I will come after you." She points at Mako, poison practically dripping off her words. Mako hurriedly nods in fear. "Good, rest up everyone. We have a long day ahead of us." She spins back around and stalks towards her sleeping quarters.

"Is she always like that?" Iroh curiously questions.

"She takes her protecting job very seriously." Asami informs him with a light laugh. "She doesn't like Mako overstepping that boundary." Iroh nods in understanding, watching the fading figure of Kanna in interest.

Mako is wearing Equalist clothing in the hobos' hideout, standing in front of the large crowd of people wanting to see the group off. Bolin walks up to Mako and they hug.

"Love you, little bro." Mako tells Bolin. In the background, Gommu sniffles and cries at the brotherly love scene.

"Love you back, big bro." Bolin says and walks up to Korra, who is standing next to Naga."Korra, Amon is a nasty dude. Be careful."

"I will." Korra hugs Bolin. "Good luck. If you're going into the mountains, you should bring Naga." She hugs Naga and says, "Take good care of Bolin for me." Naga licks Bolin.

"And you should take Lee," Kanna approaches with Lee wrapped around her neck. "Lee will help get you out of a sticky situation and can alert you to people nearby." She goes to hand over the Arctic Fox, but Korra shakes her head.

"He might give us away," Kanna frowns in realization. Korra yanks her into a tight hug, "be safe. I know you will worry too much about me, but I'll be fine. I have Mako to protect me this time. You need to help Iroh. We need to be able to get those reinforcements and in the end, you are kinda protecting me, okay?" Kanna nods her head in Korra's shoulder. They pull away from each other. "Bye." They simultaneously say and laugh. Kanna watches Lee scurry off to climb onto Gommu and walks over to her group. She sees Mako approaching Asami and pauses.

"Asami." Asami turns around to face Mako. "I'm sorry things got so messed up between us, but whatever happens today, I want you to know how much I care about you."

"I care about you, too." She kisses him on the cheek and runs to Bolin and Iroh.

"Still messing with her," Kanna mumbles while walking by him to her group. Korra walks next to Mako and they walk away. Asami jumps onto Naga's back, joining Pabu, Kanna, Bolin, and Iroh.

"Good fortune and success to you, valiant heroes." Gommu dramatically says, cradling Lee in his arms. Kanna shakes her head at the man's antics.

"Lee, get over here." Kanna tsks and the fox huffs, quickly leaving Gommu and running up to sit next to Pabu.

"You think he'll join Pabu's circus?" Bolin asks, gesturing at Gommu.

"Maybe." Kanna laughs, cracking the reins to make Naga go. "Let's go!"

Korra and Mako walk out of the large drain pipe. They continue walking into the sea and Korra waterbends a large bubble so they can breathe while underwater. Korra and Mako walk out of the sea, onto the Air Temple island and Korra stops waterbending the bubble. They put on their chi blocker masks and climb up the rocky shores. They look up and see Amon boarding an airship. "There's Amon." Korra says.

"We need to get into the temple. Then, when he returns..." Mako trails off.

"We ambush him." Korra finishes. They walk toward the temple, but stop when they hear a voice from behind.

"What are you two doing here?" The Lieutenant asks.

"Uh, we were just transferred." Mako says.

"Well, you're getting transferred again. Amon wants extra security at the arena today." He tells them.

"The arena? For what?" Mako asks in confusion,

"The rally. You should've been briefed about this." He narrows his eyes at them.

"We'll be there, sir." Korra says and bows. As the Lieutenant walks away, she whispers to Mako. "I know another way in." They scoot to the side slowly and stealthily. Korra lifts a wooden panel on a wall and they climb in. "Let's hide in the attic." They climb up through the attic's trapdoor.

"Uh, we're not alone up here." Mako informs Korra. The two see Tarrlok sitting on the floor, locked behind bars.

"Tarrlok?" Korra and Mako take off their chi blocker masks.

"I don't suppose you're here to rescue me." Tarrlok comments.

"We had no idea you were here. Are there other prisoners on the island?" Korra questions, walking towards the cell.

"No, I'm the only one." Tarrlok replies.

"And what makes you so special?"

"I'm Amon's brother." Tarrlok says and Korra gasps. "Amon is from the Northern Water Tribe. He's a waterbender and a bloodbender, just like I was."

"What?" Korra exclaims in shock. Korra and an equally shocked Mako glance at each other and back at Tarrlok. Mako takes a step forward to Tarrlok's cell.

"Did you know this all along?" Mano angrily asks.

"No," Tarrlok bends his head down, "not until after he captured me."

"How did your brother end up becoming Amon?" Korra inquiries.

"It all began with my father, Yakone. With the help of his former gang, he escaped prison and underwent surgery to change his appearance. He assumed a new identity, and settled down in the Northern Water Tribe. That's where he met my mother, a warm, caring woman. Before long, they started a family together. Amon was the firstborn, under the name Noatak. I was born three years later. My sister, Ritaki, was born only a year later. Noatak was a good-natured kid, always looking out for me. Those were the good years. Before my siblings and I discovered we were waterbenders. At first we were excited by our new abilities, but our training brought out a different side of my father. Even back then, my brother wanted everyone to be treated fairly and equally. When I was seven, my father took us on a hunting trip far away from our home. He told us his true identity was Yakone, Republic City's most notorious crime boss, and that he was once a bloodbender of rare skill. The good days were behind us. Every full moon, our father took us on another supposed "hunting trip," where he secretly trained us in bloodbending. We kept the truth from my mother. A few years later, my father taught us to bloodbend anytime, without the need of the full moon. We practiced constantly, and I hated every minute of it. My sister and I had no stomach for manipulating helpless animals. My brother, however, seemed to revel in this newfound power. He was a prodigy, mastering my father's psychic bloodbending technique by the time he was fourteen. Even though Noatak was my father's favorite, it wasn't any easier for him. He carried the burden of all Yakone's expectations and demands. Something changed in Noatak over the years; the loving brother I once knew became cold and detached. Our father pushed us to extremes, and one day, he made us bloodbend each other. My brother stood up for us for not wanting to bloodbend him. He left. My father, my sister and I searched for days, but we never found a sign of Noatak. We thought he perished in that storm. My mother was never the same after the loss of my brother. My father stopped training us. With Noatak gone, his hopes for revenge withered. And he passed away, a few years later." Tarrlok tells his life story to the teens.

"If it's your family's trait, then how come Kanna can blood bend without the full moon?" Korra asks, not realizing that Mako has no idea about that. Mako gawks at the new information.

"Kanna can blood bend?" Mako questions in shock. Korra winces, realization setting in and nods her head.

"I don't know. Her parents lineage should not have a drop of my family's blood in it, I think she may have gotten the ability naturally. It's the only answer that makes sense." Tarrlok explains. "My sister, Ritaki, is still suppose to train her in blood bending. I don't know where she is or if Amon got to her too. If you see her, please tell to be careful."

"We will and that's one of the saddest stories I've ever heard." Korea says.

"Avatar Korra. I am truly sorry for all that I did to you. I thought I was better than my father, but his ghost still shaped me. I became a soldier of revenge, just like he wanted me to be. And so did my brother. The revolution may be built on a lie, but I think Amon truly believes bending is the source of all evil in the world." Tarrlok states.

"How did you figure out Amon is your brother?" Mako questions.

"When he took my bending, the sensation was somehow familiar. I later recognized it as my brother's bloodbending grip." Tarrlok sighs.

"So, he somehow uses bloodbending to take people's bending." Korra says in surprise.

"I don't know how he does it, but then again, I've never encountered a bender as strong as Noatak." Tarrlok furrows his eyebrows, "if Kanna got the right training, she might've been a stronger bender."

"How in the world do we beat him?" Korra stresses and decides to not address the comment about Kanna. She knows Kanna despises her blood bending and would never train it to the point where she's a master in it.

"We can't. Any attack we throw at him, he'll redirect with his mind. That's how he's been able to challenge any bender." Mako says.

"So much for our ambush. If we stay here, we're toast. But there's another way to beat him." Korra tells Mako while pacing back and forth.

"How?" Mako asks.

"This whole time, Amon has been one step ahead of us. But finally we have the advantage. We know the truth about him. If we expose him as a bender in front of all his supporters ..." Korra waits for Mako to see where she is going with this.

"At the rally." He chips in.

".. We could take away his true power!" She finishes her thought.

"And undermine this whole revolution!" Mako excitedly says.

"Thank you, for your help." Korra says to Tarrlok who nods his head and shifts his eyes. Mako starts to leave, but Korra stops him and gestures to the old man. "We can't just leave him here."

"Go. Amon can't know anyone spoke with me." Tarrlok stands up and grabs the cell bars. "Defeat him. Put an end to this sad story." Korra nods at him. Korra and Mako run toward the trapdoor and climb down.

"So when was Kanna going to tell the rest of us she could blood bend?"

"Never."

"Never?!"

Kanna hums happily as the group streak across the wintry, snow covered mountains to where the airplane field should be. "What song are you singing?" Iroh curiously asks.

"Oh it's a water tribe song, it doesn't have any words in it, just sounds." Kanna answers, a light blush coating her cheeks.

"It's soothing." Iroh tilts his head to the side and closes his eyes. He tries to mimic the sounds Kanna made, but is stopped by her. He opens his eyes to stare at her.

"You're doing it too deep." Kanna hums the different varieties of how the sounds should sound like. "Like that. It's suppose to represent the calmness of the water." Iroh nods his head and tries once more to mimic the sounds yet there's still a deep undertone to it. "Now that's kinda better." She joins in, the two harmonizing without realizing. Bolin and Asami glance at each other before looking at the duo in front of them with smirks. They shrug and join in with the harmonizing, all four humming the southern water tribe song while Pabu and Lee chirp along with them.
