Chase's POV

"wake up Emily we have to go meet Stacy and the kids!" I say as I shake her softly.

"mmmm why do we have to be up so early?" she says all sassy and giggly but also very tired. I laughed and helped her out of bed. she looked at me and I knew to walk out so she could get dressed and get ready to meet my family.

Emily's POV

After Chase gets me out of bed I give him a look so I can change and get ready to meet his family. I am very nervous about meeting them because if they don't like me I don't get to see them ever and that isn't fair. I just want to impress his ex wife and make his kids love me. I don't want to have to go through what I have gone through before with families. After getting dressed I walk out to see Chase laughing with a nurse and I decide to go scare Chase. I slowly walk up behind him and put my finger over my mouth to make sure the nurse doesn't tell him I am coming.

"BOO!!!" I scream and jump on Chase's back

"F**K!!!" he screamed and jumped like 10ft in the air. I just laughed at him.

"Emily was that you?" he asked looking me dead in the eyes. I simply smirk and walk over to the nurse and act all innocent.

"Me scare you? how could you accuse me of scaring you Chase I am so offended, but yes I did scare you." he gives me a sarcastic look and then runs after me. I scream and run down the hall as he chases me. (hahahhahaha no pun intended). after about 10 minutes of chasing he finally catches me and we laugh really hard. We go to his car and start driving to his house.

Stacy's house Chase's POV

Once we reach Stacy's house I look at Emily and we take a deep breath.

"Ok I need to give you the lowdown on each of the kids. So Trey is very shy but once he warms up to you he is adorable and really funny. He loves nerf guns and tries to do trick shots. Now Alice is very daddy's little girl and is in desperate need of an older sister to look up to cause she is such a tomboy and it is hilarious." I finish my sentence and she smiles and nods and we walk up to the front door and knock. I can feel Emily's hand shaking. I stop and give her a reassuring look. She calms down a little bit. I knock on the door.

Emily's POV

*Knock Knock*

a little boy opens the door.

"DADDY!!!!!" he screams and jumps into Chase's arms he wraps his arms around the little boy who I am pretty sure is named Trey. He looks at me and smiles.

"Hi I am Trey Chase's little boy, you must be Emily."

"yes my name is Emily it is nice to meet you Trey." I shake his hand and he giggles a little bit.

*Thud*

I look up from Trey to see Alice wearing one of Chase's many hats and laughing at herself. she looks up and sees Chase and her eyes light up. She runs up to him and hugs him while I hug trey. So far so good Trey likes me. I think to myself. Alice walks up to me and smiles

"Hi I am Alice I am Chase's little girl and you must be Emily. I love your dress it is so cute, come on I want to show you something." I follow Alice to the kitchen where Chase's ex is cooking.

"Mom this is Emily." Stacy turns around and smiles she hugs me and we sit down and eat dinner. The night went by in a blur lots and lots of conversations and fun and games.

Chase's POV

"Hey Stacy, what do you think of Emily?"

"Chase I love her she is so sweet and her story is so sad please do adopt her she is so cute and the kids love her."

"Thanks I will see you next weekend." I smiled and hugged her and Emily and I left.
